Second time was a week later so we could take my niece for her birthday. I love trying new places and checking out their specialty cocktails. They have very unique cocktails with very unique names. Each cocktail has a fun story or description to it as well. They were all very tasty. My favorite, so far, is the Trust Fund Tiki. That is a dangerously good drink. Many of the drinks also come in very fun or classy looking glasses. So far, I have had, along with the drink I have already mentioned, the Cheeky Cheeky, the Porn Star, Irish Goodbye, and the Flirt in the Fruit Isle. They are all delicious and unique in their own ways. The bartenders are a blast too. We had great conversations with them and joked around. The second time we went we got food. I got the fried oysters, my husband got the chicken wings, my niece got the salad and her boyfriend got a chicken sandwich. Everything was fresh and they were cool and brought out my oysters right as they were ready so I had them nice and fresh. The decor... what can I say? Swanky, cool, fun, lots of conversation pieces. We will definitely be back.

She let me know that while they have coffee drinks, she's not much of a barista...they have an experienced barista on staff but they only work there from about 7am to 1pm and I was there approx 1:30pm. She stated she could make simple lattes but nothing all that fancy from the coffee menu as cocktails are her actual specialty so I decided to go with alcoholic libations since that's what she knows how to make. One that stood out to me was called the "Figgy Fizz" which is made with a fig syrup and I was excited as for breakfast yesterday I had the best Greek yogurt I've ever had which was honey and fig flavored so I was definitely in a fig mood lol she whipped up the drink but unfortunately after she handed it to me, she let me know she couldn't find the fig syrup they put in it so she substituted that with pumpkin spice. I was kind of bummed about that and wished she would have asked me first if that substitution was okay with me or if I'd want to try something else because now it's not a "figgy fizz" but a pumpkin spice fizz but I still drank it and it was decent. I decided to try one more drink which was a pomegranate rosemary lemon drop and it was beautiful and very tasty ! It's a nice spot to have a drink, the staff is quite friendly and they have some unique flavors so i can see myself frequenting this establishment. I want to come back soon and give their coffee drinks a try when I can stop by earlier!

Very cool looking and tasty. Great place for a date night, cocktail before a dinner out, or hanging with the girls. Looking forward to trying their coffee offerings in the future.

After 30 minutes, I still had not received a confirmation text, so I messaged asking for an approximate time. The reply stated they were "slammed" and that my order would be ready in about 30 minutes. After another 45 minutes, I still had not received any communication from them, so I decided to walk over to check on my order, hoping that it would be ready. The first thing I noticed was that there were not a lot of customers inside. I informed the server behind the bar that I was there to pick up my order, and she went back to check. When she returned, she told me that there were no pickup orders. I showed her the email with my order number and told her that I never received a confirmation from them. She went back into the kitchen, then came back and said they didn't have my order, but could make it while I waited - about 10 minutes. I reluctantly agreed and waited. When I got my order, I asked for a few extra cups of sauce. The server was put off, as if asked to perform an overwhelming task. Needless to say, I left the establishment with a less-than-favorable taste in my mouth. 24 hours later, I received a text from them that my order was confirmed and would be ready to be picked up. I texted back that this was 24 hours late and to cancel the order. The reply was that their texting service was unavailable, and to call for questions. I then replied to the confirmation email, hoping that would get through to them. No such luck. The reply I received said that delivery had failed - that their email box was full. I will say that the food was good, and that the server was mainly friendly. However, the whole online ordering system needs some serious revamping. I hope that Whiskey River will take this review as constructive criticism so that future customers will have an easier, smoother online ordering experience.

To our server's credit, though, she had several tables arrive at once!! I ordered the salmon, and it was absolutely delicious! We also shared the Brussels sprouts as an appetizer--highly recommend them! I don't remember exactly what my sister-in-law ordered, but this definitely wasn't her first visit. She's gluten-free and really enjoyed her meal as well. One thing I really appreciated is that Craft offers plenty of gluten-free options, which makes dining here much easier for those with dietary restrictions. I also loved the décor--it has a warm, modern, and inviting atmosphere. You can see what I mean in my photos! Overall, we had a great experience with delicious food, a welcoming atmosphere, and friendly service. We're already looking forward to coming back soon!

So, it's 5 on Friday and I decide with no warning to take the fam out for a nice dinner. Not the BK Lounge or any number of pizza places, but somewhere with good service, great food and AC. After a quick Google search of the west end of the valley We found Brick 29 Bistro in Nampa. We walk in at 6:03pm and are greeted and asked if we have reservations. "No" I replied. "Do we need them if we want to eat here tonight?" Then the hostess said "Actually, there is a waiting list, but it will be 45-60 minutes. Is that OK?" "Sure." So, we sat down and waited. Did I mention we have a 3 & 5 year old? Ha ha! Lucky for us our 16 year old likes to walk around outside with the younger two. Lol! Anyway, I find out, 30 minutes later as we are being seated in a private room that they were completely booked. Duh! Friday night. However, they made room for us anyway. Already impressed and grateful, we sit down and meet our server Amanda B. Cheerful and ready to deliver she gets our drink order and gives us the specials. At this point, I have to say that if you have not been, you must know, this isn't your regular franchise all you can eat appetizers and burgers joint. Honestly, I felt underdressed because of how perfectly delightful the menu read. I reached a whole new plane of hungry! Wagyu beef brisket, Swordfish with coconut rice, Hawaiian halibut... I could hardly wait! Seriously, words cannot describe how wonderful our meal was. Quick side note for those of you thinking that so far this sounds expensive for a family night out. Nope. Kids were $4 each and everything else was very reasonably priced. The service, atmosphere and surely the quality of the food were tremendous! The thought had occurred to me when we were first seated that being seated in a private room we would probably have empty cups for most of the meal and be starving for attention from any and all of the wait staff. Nope. Amanda B, another gal and even Keela (owner) made sure that at no point were our glasses empty or were we wanting for any more attention. THANK YOU! Great Food, but the quality of working here, is horrible. I have never been treated so disrespectful as I did by the owners. Waiting to the first of the year to fire you on day 3 of January, knowing you are a mom raising kids, and this being your sole income. No empathy, and absolutely no warning of being canned. I lost so much respect for Keela and Dustan. If you haven't been with them for 10 plus years, you stand no chance of making it, unless you kiss butt. The training was horrible, and coming in with two job codes, and them expecting nothing but perfection is beyond any compression. Takes time to learn the systems, and repetitive daily tasks that helps you become the best you can be. but they are the folks that will degrade and talk about you to others, and do nothing to support or even pull you aside to become a better person at Brick, what makes it even tougher are the employees, some not all, will treat you like crap and worry that the new person is going to take their hours and or tables and they will gang up like a click and make they go running to the owners, to again fire you ..... You stand no chance as a new person working at Brick 29, The rudest people I have ever worked for. I landed a great opportunity with another company, a door opened for me, and the benefits are awesome and pay is great. Which none of that is offered at Brick, no benefits, just rude people. Do your homework before thinking this is a place to land a job or even an opportunity. They will use the right to work state, to their benefit and care less what this will do to you financially. Thank God I was set up. I know a friend was fired the next day too from Brick and in a pickle of a mess. I don't recommend this place at all. read more

Coming from the Bay Area, by way of Kansas City, the Idaho Treasure Valley area has been a disappointing desert when seeking a "good" dining experience, with exceptional cuisine. Brick-29 is an oasis in this food desert and does not disappoint. The food is exceptional as is the service. Reyes "Ray Ray", is an amazing waiter and the owner took the time to come to our table and talk with us, where we piled on the compliments for building a wonderful place to dine in the Treasure Valley food desert. Since our first experience there we've been back many times and enjoyed each experience and each dish! In both the San Francisco Bay Area and Kansas City there were dozens and dozens of truly magnificent dining institutions. In the Boise area, the choices are few but Brick-29 would hold it's own in either arena. What to try: * The Steelhead dish was my first. It was as good as it gets. * Blueberry Porkchop - may sound odd, just try it and be delighted. * Artichoke Raviolis - amazing and spiced to perfection. * Hagerman Trout - simply delicious! * Bistro Chicken - a very popular dish and there is a reason for that! read more

Some background, I am a former server and manager of dining establishments in the area. It takes a lot for me to leave a negative review and I really should have talked to the manager. I was so excited to take my fiancé to this place after hearing how amazing it is. We stood up front for a decent amount of time with no hello, assuming maybe they are busy or hostess called out I just moved on. Our server was great and explained everything really well, so overall great service! The food however was horrible my fiancé had the chicken covered in sauce however it was Luke warm and literally had zero flavor I had a bite and the chicken was literally white zero seasonings, I was shocked. My dish was the special, there was nothing special about it some more mildly warm rice with no flavor even though it was coconut rice? The fish had no flavor and was covered with rock hard breading. We will not be back and I'm hoping we just came on an off night. Even the Dutch bros girl where we got coffee after said it's amazing! read more

Overall I have always had pretty good experiences here. The food is generally very good. But I dont care for there seating situation or it could have been the hostess that evening. There were 3 open booths and we requested to sit in one of them. The hostess said there were non available and sat us in the middle of the room next to the kitchen with a lot of noise and traffic from the kitchen. We were there approximately 1.5 hours after drinks and eating our meal. Spent lots of money. The entire time we were there the booths sat empty and a couple more opened up during that time as well. Needless to say it angered me. If I weren't so light hearted it would have ruined my evening. They need to remember that the comfort of their customers should always come first..... above some hidden server rotation on who gets the next table. Up front, my summary: Brick29 could be in Boise, Seattle or any city in the US and still blow almost everyone away with the food. But it's in Nampa, and that's perfectly okay. I've dined at B29 for the past few years. Birthdays, anniversaries, first dates, bad dates, buddies hanging out. Here's a secret: I think they undercharge on some menu items. How in the world can they give us such fresh quality ingredients and not charge twice as much (some restaurants in Boise give us half the quality and twice the price). You know what, I'm going to stop. Make the drive over to 2C (it's okay to leave the gun at home, Brick29 doesn't take you through gangland) and give it a try. My experience is with Brick 29's Sunday Brunch Buffet. I was more than impressed. The food was amazing. I have yet to experience any buffet that was as beautifully presented or as FRESH as Brick 29's. Every item had a special twist right down to the sweet glazed pepper bacon and the real crepes to the french toast with a hint of orange zest - there's too much to name. The coffee is excellent and you should try the mimosas for an added treat. Since we didn't see any menus we had braced ourselves when the check came, but that was another pleasant surprise, as it was way less than we had anticipated! Please call ahead for a reservation or you'll be unlikely to get a seat. Also, if you're looking for a place to take Mom for mother's day - This should really wow her as well. read more

I had read the reviews and was impressed having had lunch at brick 29 one other time,but they truly are amazing, and care about their customers and service . I feel like I am repeating what others have said , but recently having a very special birthday celebration for my husband ,they could not have done more: sixteen of us ,all of the food from the appetizers to the personal food orders were amazing,the service (especially Alison) made this experience wonderful,really hard to find in a business or restaurant these days. Dining at Brick 29 is always a wonderful experience. The staff is consistently kind and attentive, and the food never disappoints. My husband and I always start with the calamari--it's hands-down the best we've ever had. The addition of serrano peppers is such a unique touch, and it complements the dish perfectly. I usually go for the bourbon chicken, which is packed with flavor and incredibly satisfying. We always end our meal with a slice of the deconstructed German chocolate cake. It's so rich and decadent that we can never quite finish it--but it's our absolute favorite. As Nampa locals, we love supporting local businesses, and Brick 29 is our go-to spot. I've been all over the country eating amazing food at the best and sometimes most expensive restaurants. I have never had better food anywhere, and that goes for everything on the menu. And the prices are at least half what other similar quality restaurants offer. Favorite part of all though is the awesome owner and staff. Never met a kinder, more down to earth staff and I know it's due to top notch management style. Was going religiously until divorce ate all my extra funds. WE LOVE THIS PLACE! We come here whenever we have a special occasion. The food is good the service is good...the prices are good. We are so grateful for such a great place to eat that we can afford and feel like we are really treating ourselves to something special. I know they could raise their prices for how amazing all their dishes are but they have been able to keep them affordable and keep us happy :) We have been in dozens of times.. The blueberry pork chop was excellent! Likely the best pork I've ever had and the crispy Brussels were really great too. The potatoes on my plate were a throw away but everything else was absolutely delicious. My husband had a pork cheek special with risotto that was melt in your mouth and so tasty. The appetizer fries with Swiss fondue were yummy and the huckleberry martinis are addictive. Oh and Reyes was a terrific waiter. Best Sunday brunch! =) Only problem is that they only do brunch 1 day a week, cause I could eat brunch here WAY more than that. I am picky about my bacon. I normally like very crisp, little fat, turkey back. Just from observation the bacon available at their brunch was not crisp, but more soft and clearly not healthy turkey bacon, but I decided to try it anyway. HOLY MOLY! Sooooo good! Whether I'm grabbing lunch with friends or celebrating something special, I always leave happy (and usually wishing I'd saved room for dessert! ). Ray Ray's service was top notch As a server myself, I was highly impressed with his delivery of the specials of the day I could vision the taste of the dishes as he described each special. Appetizers were delicious. We enjoyed calamari, fried oysters, and a bowl of mushroom bisque. The food is awesome. The prices are very reasonable. The service is excellent the wine selection is good. It is clean and you can watch the food coming out of the kitchen. Much of the food is locally grown and features Idaho at its best. The desert are amazing. I had the very best creme brulee ever. I have been to Brick 29 twice. Once for brunch and once for dinner. Both were excellent. I love that it feel like a restaurant that could be in a big city but you're in Nampa. The decor is great and I like the live music. The food is excellent as well. The variety for brunch is unreal they have everything from waffles to sushi. And the dinner variety will suit just about anyone. Me and my mom can both agree which never happens. Its definitely worth checking out. read more

our go to for any occassion Love the drinks, food is always amazing, wonderful staff and owners are so gracious! the menu had so many choices it was hard to decide & our server Jadin was fantastic! We decided on steaks, turkey melt and the spicy calamari appetizer is the best I've ever had and I'm picky when it comes to calamari. if you haven't been to the Craft Lounge...go it's such a fun hideaway in the janitors closet. I ordered the Dirty Olive House Martini and was pleasantly surprised to learn that Bardenay is the nation's first restaurant and distillery, serving its own handcrafted spirits. Their house-distilled vodka made for one smooth and delicious martini! Our server, Sabrina, was outstanding--friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable. She recommended the fish tacos, and they were absolutely delicious! My husband ordered the burger and fries, and he couldn't stop talking about how good they were. What really impressed me was Sabrina's attentiveness. As soon as she noticed my martini was getting low, she stopped by to see if I'd like another. I figured, "Why not?" I was about to spend a few hours on a plane and was hoping to catch some ! The bar and seating area were spotless, and we enjoyed watching FIFA on the TVs while we ate. Great food, handcrafted cocktails, exceptional service, and a welcoming atmosphere. If you're flying out of Boise Airport, I highly recommend making time to stop at Bardenay Restaurant & Distillery before your flight. We'll definitely be back!

It was a cool, comfortable and warm environment. We started with ordering a cocktail called the Sunday Morning Paper. This is a tastier version of a traditional Bloody Mary and served in a martini glass. It was so good we gulped it down and ordered a second. We shared the Bardenay club sandwich with fries. The sandwich was a little dry and underwhelming, but the fries were crispy and yummy. If I lived in Boise, I would be a regular at the Bardenay just to drink that cocktail again. It was that good!

The portions were larger than I would have expected, so it was more than enough for two people. Ceviche is a favorite of mine, and this was no exception. Great texture and had good-sized, crunchy tortillas to put it on. I don't really eat fried foods, but my husband ordered the Lobster Corn Dogs, which he enjoyed, but wasn't really my jam. Personal preference. The start of the show was the Tomahawk. It was butter-tender, full of flavor, and Chimichurri was to die for. It is the number one thing I would re-order, again and again. Highly recommended. If you count in the elevated and incredibly tasty food, the atmosphere, and the wonderful staff, there's every reason to give it a try. You won't regret it. The sauted mushrooms were terrific and you "HAVE" to have the salad with their homemade Rouqefert dreassing. I haven't seen Rouqefert dressing in years and it is absolutely the best (of course this is the only place we've found that offers it). The drinks were good and especially the Prickly Pear Lemon Drop....so yummy! Even though the food was great, what truly made it a "dining experience" like we've only received a few other times (and we eat out a lot), was Jessica, our waitress. She was so nice and really on top of her game. She was not only attendtive but really paid attention to the smallest of details, e.g., when I dropped my napkin, she was right there with a new one. She is what all wait staff should be, and I think she could a school and train others. We have only had an "EXCELLENT" server a few times in our lives (and we're old), but she is one of the best we have ever had. Thank you Jessica for making our dinner a true memorable dining experience. This, on top of the excellent food quality, is why we will definitely be back.

The trout was buttery, slightly salty (in a good way from the capers), and completely delicious. I ate every bite. I was happy with the nice pile of green beans, which also had a lovely buttery flavor. The service was friendly and the prices were about what you'd expect for a steakhouse/seafood spot. Get to it!

Delicious. My daughter and I had a Hazy IPA, very good. Maybe next time I'll try something different, because most certainly we'll be back.
