Highly recommended. From the moment you walk in and have to take the elevator upstairs the ambience was upscale and comfortable at the same time. Started with signature cocktails, they make their own ginger beer, and the best calamari served in a unique and delicious way. Oh my! What can I say about probably one of my all time favorite restaurants in the Treasure Valley?! First off, the atmosphere is stellar. It is on the top floor of a three story building there are huge windows that overlook Nampa and the gorgeous foothills in the distance. The decor is very Idaho chic farmhouse meets hipster. The local sourced menu is diverse and changes with the seasons. I have yet to have something that I didn't get completely full on with leftovers to bring home. My favorites are the blue cheese polenta cakes and crispy trout. And don't forget to try their unique cocktails! This is my 2nd time here; the first at the new digs. I ordered the steelhead trout special (see pic). The 3-layer polenta alone, and i'm NOT a huge plonta fan, is almost worth it on its own. I have mixed feelings about the sauce, but i'd get it again. The creme brulee had some heavy duty, just bruleed (sp?) sugar on top! None of that micro-thin, faint brown & COLD mess i'm accustomed to seeing. The texture was buttery smooth! The server was very charming & attentive. This is one of my go-to's when I'm passing through Nampa. It's consistently good. Everything I've ordered has been perfection. Their specials are always interesting and well-thought-out. The environment is clean and spacious. I'm always a walk-in and usually around 3PM, when it's never empty, but we've never had to wait even for a minute. Outstanding food & terrific personable service! Drink menu was inventive and extensive and quite excellent. We always order a calamari appetizer if its on a menu, just to see how the particular restaurant prepares it. Prior to dining at Brick 29, the best calamari was at the Crown Plaza hotel restaurant (believe it) in Ventura, CA. However, Brick 29 now tops the list with their absolutely succulent, sweet thick and lightly crunchy breading (hate to call it breading but technically that is what it is)! They mix in red onions, shallots ( I think), jalapenos in a exotic sauce. Outstanding. The entrees we had were the flat iron steak and the butternut squash ravioli (added salmon to it). Highly recommended by the hotel staff in Nampa so I took the short drive. The place is located inside a building that could be a meeting place. Pretty cool looking building. The staff is very courteous and friendly. I ordered the house salad with a delicious house made ranch dressing. For lunch I ordered the cubano tacos with bisque soup. So good. The soup has chunks of feta cheese creamy and delicious. The tacos were very filling with ham cheese and pork inside. read more

Great atmosphere, food, wine/beer/spirits! Love being able to get local wines to pair with their specials of the day. The servers are very attentive and informed. For the price of some dishes you do get A LOT of food. I always have left overs. I made a reservation through yelp and requested a window seat. If you are looking for a great place to eat with delicious craft cocktails and live in Boise, make the drive to Nampa, you'll be very glad you did. Brick 29 is in the old Masonic Lodge in downtown Nampa and they've done an amazing job of turning the upstairs into an upscale, downhome place to get some of the best food and cocktails in Idaho. The seating area is small and intimate and the decor is hip and modern, still not what you'd normally expect to see in downtown Nampa but I think leading the charge to upgrade the face of Nampa and the culinary scene. The menu is right sized and priced right and the food is phenomenal, everything from burgers to salads are done just the way you'd want them to be if you knew they could be this good. The entrees are large and incredibly flavorful. Some of the things you have to try, brisket grilled cheese, mac and cheese, and the flatiron steak. You won't be sorry but you will be satisfied. The waiter we had was absolutely amazing, he was attentive and prompt and so quick to give us refills I don't think we missed a single sip between drinks! I really wish I could recall his name but pregnancy brain has me forgetting everything lately. The food took a decent time to receive but well worth the wait! Their fried polenta is the best I've ever had, the chicken was moist and tender. My daughter is about two years old and loved the parsley fries and chicken tenders. Their cocktails are delicious according to my in-Laws and husband, I however loved their perfectly balanced cucumber water and had a delicious Shirley temple.. or 3 haha. Aside from the wait to be sat and the wait for the food, it was absolutely perfect and we will 100% be going back. Good to know: 1) portions are very large, and 2) it's definitely a good idea to make a reservation if you can. I really wanted to try their Copper River Salmon special but wasn't thrilled about the way they prepared it (personal choice) so I went with the flat iron steak special with tomatoes and shaved asparagus... the flavors were so perfect together. My boyfriend had the mac & cheese. He is not a fan of green onions and felt that the dish was too overpowered by the green onions (again, personal taste preferences). If we ever get the opportunity to go back, we will most likely try the rib eye...we saw one at almost every table and it looked delicious. read more

We dropped in for an afternoon salad because of the Yelp reviews. The atmosphere is awesome, the wait staff was super friendly (I got a compliment on my hair) ;) and the food was original and fresh. Next time I'm having one of their unique cocktails. We both had the tenderloin Cobb salad, and I've never had steak on a salad that was so tasty and tender.
