Went to 13th Street Pub and Grill with my friend and had such a great experience! We both ordered the skinny spicy margaritas and split the chicken wings. Hands down the best wings we have ever had. They were so tender and came with celery, carrots, plus both blue cheese and ranch. We loved them so much we even ordered another batch to go for my husband. The restaurant is located in Hyde Park and has a great atmosphere. You can sit outside on the patio to people watch or enjoy the modern, trendy vibe inside. Prices are very reasonable, and the service was excellent. Highly recommend and I cannot wait to go back and try more of their menu.

Back up for a second year in a row.... The food is amazing. I wanted to try something new but the chimi churri steak was too good last year to pass up. We had a large party. The service was awesome and the waitresses were attentive and made sure we were good to go. Definitely would recommend this place!! It's a fun little atmosphere down in the Hyde Park area

We were seated quickly + Waitress was pretty and served us quickly+ This is the best Chocolate Expresso Martini I have ever had! ++ I had the Beet Salad with Feta not Goat + We didn't get stung by the bees flying in the plants behind us+ I would have given them 6 Stars if I could.

One of the best patios in all of Boise. Beautiful flowers, great neighborhood! Waitress walked by us numerous times as we were waiting 30 minutes for our food with empty glasses. The food is completely mediocre. I know they say it's a specialty beef for the hamburger, but it tastes completely like food service. And looks like food service as well. Very frustrating when a restaurant cooks to order and you order something such as medium, and it comes out overcooked. I've given this place a try several times... But I think I will go elsewhere in the future. French fries had a super fishy taste to them. As if they were cooked in the same fryer as the fish for the fish and chips, not enjoyable at all. The restaurant business is tough these days I understand... But to set yourself apart from other restaurants, you need to have good food, good service, good prices. I just don't think 13th St. Pub and Grill has these things. *****After I posted this, I went back and looked at some of the other reviews. I get that some people give this place five stars and they like it and that's great for them. But if you look at the two and three star reviews, they are very similar to the review that I posted. Clearly, I was accurate in my assessment of food, service, value.

Went here with my daughter the other night and had a great experience. It was a beautiful spring day in Boise. My daughter picked me up at the airport and decided to treat her to wherever she wanted to go. Her and her fiancé have been her and have said great things so tonight was the night to give it a try. We had a 20+ min wait for a table but enjoyed a drink on their outdoor seating area while we waited. Once seated outside our waitress which was amazing helped us through the menu. We both started off with the starter salad which was really good and you can tell homemade dressings. For food she had the classic cheese burger and I had their brain of a French dip. Both selections were amazing. I 100% loved everything about this place and with for sure be back and would highly recommend!

Had an impromptu dinner on a Monday night. i had a great sea bass. My man had the trout. Really tasty. Nice wine that was reasonable. Love the big windows and fireplaces. Had Monday night football on which was a plus.

My first time here on a mellow Monday (mid day) and the services was great, the food was delicious and the heaters indoors were a nice touch. We had a few delicious sandwich options, the fries were nice and had a good crisp on them and i personally had the the chicken wings (no sauce) which were delicious and so crispy! I can't have gluten and they use a cornstarch for crisp which was great to know!

My friend and I were looking for a relaxed, outdoor spot after our golfing session. This place was the perfect spot for what we needed. We were greeted kindly by our waitress and seated in a spot to receive the cool breeze on a warm, sunny day. As for food, the presentation of my burger and my friend's sandwich was remarkable. I am a huge fan of the big pattie and bun ratio, along with its toppings (especially bacon!). The fries were decent, nothing extraordinary but did the job. My plate replenished me after a long day on the links. I'll be back.

We were looking for a place for lunch in the neighbourhood and decided to check out the restaurant. Our waitress was fantastic. She was very friendly and attentive. I ordered cod & chips. Although I prefer a thick and light beer batter, the thin crispy panko crust with herbs was good, too. The 3 big pieces of cod with my order were wonderfully flaky. I was actually considering something lighter and would have ordered chicken wings but all 3 of the flavours available on the menu are saucey. I wish they had dry rub options.

Really fun restaurant and bar with a very lively atmosphere (even Friday at lunch); friendly hostess who gave us options on where we wanted to sit. Server came right away to give us water and take a drink order came back quickly to check on us since we were still deciding on drinks. I am a pescatarian, and the server ran to the kitchen (would me asking) to see if he could sub out a meat for fish (up-charge as expected). Ordered a turkey & brie sandwich (with salmon instead of turkey) which as outstanding. Warm sandwich, soft bread, just the right amount of condiments, and very well presented. I had no idea what fry sauce is (when asked during ordering) & the server included it on the side just so I could have the opportunity to try it! I would personally advise to ignore the 3 star reviews and try this place for yourself! I eat at well over 200 restaurants every year (for business so money is no object) and this is definitely a place I would repeat (and I was eating on my own dime!)

I know my husband who is a huge pizza lover would absolutely love their pizza here. So for my birthday, I decided that we should hit up The James for dinner. I had made a reservation for a patio table a couple days ahead of schedule. I really wanted to sit outside with the family and enjoy our meal. Of course the day of my birthday, the weather was windy and cooler. I called the restaurant to see if we couple l could possibly dine inside. The gentleman that helped me over the phone wasn't really friendly but he assured me that dining inside shouldn't be an issue. We had a cute table reserved for us inside. It was pretty chill when we came in. A few people at the bar and another table enjoying their meal. The last time my friends and I were in, it was so busy. I actually appreciate how chill it was tonight. Nothing like enjoying my family and our meal in a calm space. We got some food ordered. We started off with some wings, clam chowder and zuppa tuscono soup. A pepperoni pizza for my husband and I. My daughter got the French dip sammy. I planned on having a little bit of my daughter's sandwich. I have to make sure it's tasty! The wings came out first. They were cooked perfectly! Crispy on the outside but the chicken wing was still tender. The buffalo sauce and ranch were in dipping cups on the side. We all had a few and then soups were dropped off. My husband's clam chowder was money. It was so good! Clams and potatoes through out each bite. My daughter's zuppa was very hearty and spicy. I love the kale in the soup. I had a couple bites but the heat was becoming a little too much for me. Our pizza was hot right out the oven. The cheese was perfectly melty. Plenty of pepperoni slices on the pizza. I appreciate the fact that the crust isn't crazy thick. It's thinner so you're not eating a tone of bread. The crust is crispy on the outside and chewy in the middle. The sauce is not overwhelming in herbs. This joint seriously has some of the best pizza in town! Each slice I had tonight was fantastic! My daughter enjoyed her sammy. I didn't get a chance to snag a bite. I was too busy tearing up our pizza. I did snag a few fries and these folks know how to produce a great fry. We didn't get the gorgonzola fries this time but it will be a must have the next time we hit this joint up. It's been a hot minute since I have had them and I still daydream about them. Our sweet server got me birthday dessert. Chocolate cake with raspberry sauce on it. It was devine. I couldn't tell if the cake was flourless. It was really dense like it was but I didn't mind. It was still so good. I enjoyed the raspberry sauce that came on it. Since the cake was so dense, the raspberry sauce added some brightness to it. As full as I was, I had to make sure my birthday dessert was finished. I'm a sucker for anything sweet no matter how full I am. Tonight's dining experience was great. Our server was sweet and delightful. Our food was killer good. My dessert was banger. And the vibe was chill. I honestly couldn't have asked for a better dinner to celebrate my birthday. I look forward to coming back, sitting on the patio and vibing out while enjoying our food.

The decor features beautiful artificial greenery that gives the space a light, vibrant, and welcoming feel. My server, Brayden, was fantastic--friendly, prompt, and attentive. I started with the Southern Hospitality mimosa (peach & pineapple with "Blue Ridge Bubbly"), which was incredible. For my meal, I chose the $10.99 Lunch Break Special, upgrading my side to the chicken poblano soup alongside the half honey pecan chicken salad sandwich. While I was looking at the bar, a gentleman named Scott asked how I was enjoying my food. I told him I hadn't tried it yet, but that the mimosa was rocking! The soup was delicious with great flavoring, and the biscuits paired perfectly with their tasty jam. The chicken salad also tasted great, but unfortunately, I bit into a sharp chicken bone that hurt my mouth. Because of this, I stopped eating the sandwich. When Brayden checked back in, I let him know I couldn't finish it due to the bone. He handled it perfectly, promptly took the sandwich away, and removed the charge from my bill. He also brought out some bread for my soup as requested. I finished my meal with a salted caramel craft iced latte, which was absolutely delicious. Minor food mishap aside, the outstanding customer service from both Brayden and Scott will definitely bring me back!

Today my friend wanted to celebrate her birthday here so of course I said yes! We decided to sit on the outdoor patio today. It wasn't the warmest day but it was beautiful out. The sun was peeking out once in a while. The table was nicely shaded by a huge umbrella. The sun was nice but to have it beating on you isn't the best so the umbrella was appreciated. It was the perfect table for our outing. Jerika (I hope I spelled her name right) greeted my friend and I with her beautiful smile. We got some drinks started so while they were being worked on, my friend and I breezed over the menu. I did somewhat enjoy my charboiled salmon at the Eagle Bardenay for my birthday a couple weeks ago. The chefs did undercook my first plate of salmon. The server was kind to take my plate back to have the chefs remake it. The second attempt was appreciated but it was unfortunately a fail. The salmon came out so dry. I get that I wanted it well done but not jerky. But, today's a new day and I was willing to give it another shot. So today, I ordered the salmon with veggies instead of the salad. My plate came out and it looked promising. I love beautiful char marks on my food. The char marks today were perfect. My veggies looked nicely cooked but I could tell that some of the squash was still undercooked by the color. I didn't mind, it's a sign of freshness. As much as I wanted to stare at the prettiness of my food, I was ready to dig in! My salmon was so good! It was perfectly cooked! No raw spots in the middle, it was flaky and moist. It was a fabulous piece of salmon. The sun dried tomato butter is a fantastic add on to the salmon. I honestly could have polished another piece of fish. The chef that cooked my salmon today needs a raise! My lunch was chef's kiss! My friend enjoyed her lunch and her birthday drink! The outdoor patio was so relaxing. My lunch was also enjoyed. Our server was kind and attentive. I couldn't have asked for a better birthday lunch for my deserving friend. I hope that it won't be another 5+ years till I come back. I will need another plate of salmon with that sun dried tomato butter soon.

The brisket was flavorful, the grits were good, and he substituted a biscuit for toast. Oddly, the biscuit was served completely plain. When I asked a staff member if it normally came with butter or jam, they looked genuinely confused by the question. I eventually just asked for jam, but it felt like a strange interaction. I ordered the Brisket Benedict and the Monte Cristo. The Benedict looked great when it arrived, but one poached egg was perfectly runny while the other was significantly overcooked with a mostly solid yolk. The brisket was dry, the collard greens underneath were dry, and there wasn't enough hollandaise to compensate. The breakfast potatoes were crispy and fine, but nothing memorable. The Monte Cristo was the biggest letdown. When I order a Monte Cristo, I expect something rich, savory, and indulgent. This version was made with bland white bread, the bacon was very soft, and the sandwich lacked the flavor and texture that make a Monte Cristo worth ordering. It looked better than it tasted. Service was pleasant, but no one checked on our table after the food arrived, despite the restaurant not being very busy. Had someone stopped by, I would have mentioned the overcooked egg. Overall, one good dish out of three isn't enough to make me want to return. Based on this visit, I'd give it 3 stars.

By coincidence when walking around town I spotted it and had to go try. I'm a sucker for biscuits and gravy and these definitely beat what you would find in a Denny's or IHOP by a landslide on the taste and aesthetic scale! It's super filling since there's so many carbs, but the taters (more like small potato wedges) are actually a clever add-in. They add a slight bit of texture to the mushiness of the gravy-soaked biscuits, and potatoes and gravy are already best friends in terms of food pairings. There's also garnish on top (some sort of greens and cheese) that gives it a nice look and extra flavor. Delicious! I didn't think much of the customer service initially aside from thinking they were super friendly. However, I sat down at one of the tables and took my time eating and people watching. So many people came by the store to talk to the chefs with such familiarity that it felt like this popup was its own restaurant and community. It hasn't reached a point of popularity where it's flooded with people, but the more I look back on the experience, the nicer I feel about it.
