From the moment my wife and I walked through the door, we were greeted warmly and seated immediately. Our waitress was incredibly efficient and took the time to walk us through the entire menu. We both ordered the all-beef hot dogs, paired with onion rings for me and their fresh, homemade French fries for my wife. The absolute highlight of the meal was their secret dipping sauce--it is absolutely amazing with the fries! The interior is surprisingly roomy yet cozy, and the restrooms were spotless. My friend had "melt in your mouth" bbq ribs with potato salad and collard greens. The folks seated next to us, with whom we started a conversation, ordered pulled pork, collard greens, and potato salad and fried chicken, yams, and collard greens. We all enjoyed our meals, except I wasn't too crazy about the fried plantains - they were cooked a bit too "crispy" for me and they weren't "juicy." Note, the person at the cash register was very pleasant, super nice and accommodating. The only downfall was that several pesky flies were flying around, and we had to ensure they didn't land on our food! (Hopefully, they were only in the dining area). Sign #1: Sweet tea brought to you is from a soda fountain and not fresh-brewed. Making fresh-brewed sweet tea does not cost much. The waitress admitted it to me. I cannot tell you how many times I have had an awful sweet tea from the tab and the the rest of the experience has gone downhill more times than stabilizing the sail. Sign #2: Buying ranch to go with your wings instead of at least being given an obligatory one. Wait...it gets worse...paying for a pre-packaged Ken's Ranch...not Ranch made in-house. Sign #3: BBQ sauce on your wings is Sweet Baby Ray's bought from the grocery store. That is what my wife received and I probably had Sweet Baby Ray's Gold on my overcooked wings. Sign #4: I haven't met many French fries I wouldn't eat but Big Randy's tested me. I couldn't eat them. They were like McDonald's fries except way too salty. My wife's fries had no salt.
