Pizza Fridays is a family tradition on my bf's side and when we were in Berthoud for a family wedding, we swung by Brick Oven for a reunion over this Friday dinner tradition. Brick Oven mainly caters for takeout but they do have a few tables that sat our group of 10 comfortably. Quick service, reasonably priced. The pizzas were pretty good and they have Boylan sodas! Five dollar Stromboli. Hard to resist! This place is little with friendly, homey service and a pretty delicious Stromboli. The stromboli here is more like what I would call a calzone. For your five dollars, you can have any, and as many pizza toppings you like. I've had it twice and both times I got a stromboli (calzone?) with a lovely, tasty crust and just the exactly right interior. I had to take a star off because both times, the side of sauce was cold, which I found strange. Also, choosing a more watery filling like mushrooms or spinach might mean a slightly watery filling. I wish they'd cook the fillings down a little first. But, really, the food hits the spot and for a quick, inexpensive dinner, it is my first choice in Berthoud! read more

I called in to order some lunch delivered to one of my employees out in the field in Berthoud. They don't deliver til 5:00 or later due to the lunch rush but the owner went out of his way to take care of me and delivered the sandwich HIMSELF. That's customer service! read more

Wow.. I wish I could say something positive about this place. I was told this was the best pizza joint in town and that it was real east coast pizza, but that's far from the truth. I swear Pizza hut down the road makes better "east coast" pizza. The pizza had little to no sauce, barely any cheese, and the atmosphere doesn't even make up for it. Had high hopes from their facebook cover photo but turns out, it's from Shakeys pizza... not cool false advertisement. Will be calling dominos next time and waiting that extra twenty minutes for a more QUALITY pizza at a lower price. Not gonna support this small business. read more

Ordered delivery and was told my total for the pizza and paid with my credit card. Pizza was delivered and was only given my credit card receipt, which I was charged $5.00 extra than what was told. Called in to ask about the extra $5 charge and was told my total was what was charged, even though I was not told that amount. They would not honor the total I was told and could only offer a sorry! Between this and the pizza being extra greasy, I will not do business with them again! Moral of the story, watch your credit card receipts! read more

I did not get the same service as the other review. Yes I had to take back a pizza. Ordered a premium and got a plain cheese pizza. I live in the foothills but they are one of the closest pizza places. I called and told them of the problem and told me that would swap it. I agreed and drove all the way back. They had not even started on the pizza when I got there. I was more than angry and just wanted my money back. They only gave me a partial refund. The portion of the pizza I did have wasn't worth it. I've had frozen store bought better than this. Needless to say, this place is a cluster.... I won't be coming back. read more

This is more a review of the people than the food as I have yet to eat. I got to the car and realized I had the wrong pizza so I took it back before driving off. The owners caught me as I was going in and asked me what was wrong. Wrong pizza I said no big deal, mistakes happen. They had given mine to someone else. The owner came back and took my order himself, remade the pizza himself and then apologized for my inconvenience. Now that's service you don't hardly see nowadays. read more

I like Cliff. He has a big heart, dopey hilarious ads in the local paper and he throws a nice pie. A couple of slices and a soda pop are less than 5 bucks for lunch, a good deal. The pizzas are tasty, the subs and stuff are good, too, but I'm not really a sub kind of guy. read more

I work downtown in Berthoud, i eat here prob once a week. The food is to die for.....strombolli heaven. Plus there is a whole gaggle of teenagers that work in there. The most surprising thing....every one of them working hard, polite and cheery to all customers, and to top it off there wasnt even a "boss" lurking around making them behave this way. Brick oven is the best pizza place in Berthoud. The delivery service is a little slow, but what do you expect from a small business in a small town? Quality is good and I would recommend Brick Oven to anyone who is in town looking for a tasty Pizza, Sub, or Calzone. Add whatever ingredients strike your mood. Their takeout Deluxe Pizza was absolutely delicious Generous toppings, perfect crust, ready exactly when promised and very friendly service. Large pizza price was about $6.50 per serving for three people, not including the well-deserved tip. read more

Consistently good. When Cliff (the owner) is not there quality goes down a touch, but overall good pizza at a decent price.

First of all, I will start by saying that I think it's the best pizza in Berthoud. However, I think their customer service has something to be desired. I've ordered from them several times, and we usually get pizza about once a week. Being new in town, we've been trying a different pizza places trying to find the one that we like the best. They win in that category. But, the last time we ordered they delivered to large pizzas one made incorrectly. When I telephoned immediately to let them know about it, the girl who answered the phone told me that I would have to return the pizza that was made wrong in order to get the one that I had ordered in the first place. The problem was that the incorrect pizza was really only affecting one member of my family. The rest of my family went ahead and started eating. So, rather than make a new pizza like most pizza places would, I was told that I would have to Drive there to pick up a replacement and that they would not deliver it. I just think that's really terrible customer service. For that reason they get two stars rather than 4 stars that I probably would have given them. And they have probably lost a customer read more
