The pulled pork slice with red onion and sweet corn was by far the star of the two slices we got. If they had been heated a bit more, would have been a 5 star experience- we had already taken some bites of the pizza slices or would've had them put back in the oven. They warm up the slice for you, and I'm not sure what kind of oven they have but it gives the BEST crispy texture! I just finished moving back to Fort Collins after a year of living about 30 minutes away. And I just tried Slyce for the first time a few weeks back. I was originally thrilled to walk the couple blocks over from my new place tonight, but now I won't ever be back. I placed an order for a 20" BYO, marinara base, and explicitly asked for the regular mozzarella. Then I started listing toppings, and asked for the vegan pepperoni and sausage, and a few others things. The person behind the service counter seemed to be struggling with the computer for a few moments, but then closed me out and said it would be about fifteen minutes. Once I got it home, I immediately noticed the texture and appearance of the cheese was off, and confirmed my suspicion that the pizza had been made with vegan cheese with a bite. I called into the restaurant, and the folks working admitted the mistake but excused themselves by saying they were "just confused" because I asked for vegan toppings. Except at no point did they ask for clarification. They pretended to register my order and then assumed I would accept whatever I was given. If they couldn't ring in or otherwise accommodate my request, they could have and should have explained it, and had every opportunity before taking my money. I was told I could walk the pizza back over and they would remake it. I was already going on hour 12 of loading and unloading boxes; ravenously hungry and well beyond my physical limits. I should have been offered a refund, but it became really clear that whoever I was speaking to on the phone wasn't going to do the right thing. I have higher expectations from a place slinging $50 pies. I sincerely hope that the folks at Slyce receive more accountability in service than they display. And, turns out, the pizza was mediocre. read more

One afternoon I was walking in old town and was looking for a quick bite. I saw Slyce and stopped by hoping for a ham + pineapple slice and a cream soda. The option they had that day (every day?) was a ham, pineapple, cheddar, and ranch pizza. Price for a slice felt steep, but I'm aware that businesses need to stay afloat... and I was hungry. It was a nice combo of flavors and the crust had a nice texture. They don't have a soda fountain, however, have a variety of bottled drinks. Yay for the cream soda! Friendly staff. Plenty of places to sit, however, the interior color scheme felt dark so I chose the front patio to enjoy the sunny day. No shaded seating upfront, however, on the west side of the building there is a bar stool sitting area shaded by trees- which is where I'll choose next time. 3 star as I didn't feel wow'ed by the experience. Some cool NY style pizza by the slice right here in Fort Collins. Located in a 100+ year old building (yes, it shows). Has the friendliest staff and a wide variety of rotating options of slice. Reasonably priced for the size of the slice. Parking can be a nightmare, but if you're walking or biking, perfectly fine. The slices are hot and nice, and are sufficiently crispy with enough heat to burn the top of your mouth just like a NY slice. We got the spicy chicken and blue cheese (4.5/5), red pepper and mushroom (5/5), ravioli (4/5) and the artichoke one (4.5/5). We'll be back to try more. read more

After searching around my fellow Yelp peer reviews we stubbles on Slyce. To get right to it ... Slyce has a solid lineup of pizza. We went with the 4 cheese 20" pizza which was very good. The various cheese (Asiago, Mozzarella, Parmesan, Gruyere) and rosemary was a pleasant surprise which made for a nice tasting pizza. The garlic was an excellent taste to top it off. The only thing with this is we would have liked some red sauce. Don't get me wrong... it tasted very good and would go for this pizza again. The second pizza was the Italy- feta, spinach and tomato. wow! This was fantastic. We all seemed to really like the balance of the flavors in these ingredients. Slyce has been my favorite pizza in Fort Collins since forever, and when it came time to select a caterer for our wedding we had the absolute delight of going through Slyce!! If you need an event/party/wedding/whatever catered I can't recommend them highly enough. Their catering options are awesome, we got to completely customize the pizzas and salads we served, and they brought these sick little mini pizza ovens to our venue so our guests had the same experience as people do in Slyces shop, it was so cool. Everyone we worked with was so kind and genuine, but I have to give an especially huge shoutout to Emily, thanks for everything you did for us. Also, Slyce was super accommodating to the varying dietary restrictions our guests had. I was told by multiple people that they served the best gluten free and vegan pizza they'd ever had. Slyce is an Old Town pizza favorite, voted year after year as a top tier pizza restaurant in Fort Collins. They offer a unique take on NY style pizza - twisting traditional NY style with creative concoctions of pizza flavors including chicken cordon bleu, macaroni and cheese, pinapple barbeque, and Nashville hot chicken among others. It's location is easy to access, albeit parking can be difficult, and it boasts a casual ambiance perfect for a small pizza parlor. Their unique pizza creations mean there is generally something new to try anytime you visit. However, the traditionalists need not fret as they still offer traditional pepperoni and cheese pies. The major downside of Slyce is their pizza prep and ordering setup. They bake a lot of pies in advance for those who want individual slices. Then, when you order, they reheat the slices you want. This results in an overcooked crust which is borderline burnt and a cornicione that is so hard it's inedible. Instead of buying by the slice, I will need to try buying an entire, freshly baked pie to see if the crust sucks as much that way. If they would bake individual slices to order as other establishments do, they would drastically increase quality. Overall, it's a good pizza restaurant. It stands out for the variety of topping combinations and would make a great place for college kids to eat after a night out. However, there are better options in Northern Colorado. read more
