We were with friends who suggested we come here for dinner and it was a perfect setting. We sat in the beer garden and had a great meal. The field green salad was a perfect size and super fresh, and my boyfriend loved the Mr. Beef & Cheddar Sandwich. The soft pretzel was perfect and the biscuit app was such a great idea! Our service was pretty good, though my boyfriend's mom only ordered hummus and it didn't arrive until after we were basically all done with our meals. Fabulous Decatur brew pub, featuring 5 excellent local Georgia beers to choose from on tap the night I was there, plus many, many others from around the country. They do a nice 6 oz. glass, only $3, so you can try a few of the beers on one visit. The Georgia IPA and Imperial Stout I had were simply great. Food was very good. I had a veggie sandwich, served with a side of baby kale salad, and when it was truly the babiest kale I've seen. Quite satisfying. Rest of the group went for the Brick or Bacon Burgers, or Chicken fingers and chips. All got very good reviews from our crowd. Will be back. read more

The bartender helped me find a beer as they have such a great selection and didn't know most of them , and I had the BEST wings ever! Wow, seriously what's the deal with these amazing reviews? You've never steered me THIS wrong, Yelp! A lot of other places...but not Yelp. Not sure what happened here. The service was attentive and friendly, but that's literally the only point I can award them. Oh, and the fries were pretty good. But, they're fries. They're kinda hard to screw up. All of their, like, 4 outdoor tables were taken so we had to sit inside, which was downright depressing. Dark, dingy and dirty. We got the hummus plate, which was literally inedible. I took 2 bites and had to push it across the table, which I NEVER do. Next was the chicken pot pie, which my husband and I both got. If you've ever gotten the turkey pot pie from Trader Joe's--the one they sell in a plastic carton over by the soups, wraps and raviolis--that is *exactly* what this tasted like. No lie. It was super creamy inside and I couldn't distinguish a single bit of food in there aside from a couple overcooked carrots and chunks of dry chicken. How are they affording the rent over there?! It's a no brainer that Brick Store Pub gets 5-star praise from me. The iconic bar resembling an underground dungeon has one of the best beer selections in the Southeast. These guys have been around for over 20 years in Decatur and I finally had the chance to see what the upstairs Belgian Bar was all about. Two words: Beer Heaven. After filling up at a restaurant next door, my body was prepped for serious drinking. However, I needed something refreshing to digest all the food, which is why I ordered a Corpse Reviver No. 2. This classic cocktail won't be found on many bar menus, because it's not as popular as it once was nor do bartenders know how to prepare it. Fitting to the name, the drink brought me back to life! Now, the beer menu is not your average beer menu. It's a full on epic novel bound together by the noble souls who care about beer consumption. I was able to sample a fantastic, local NE IPA from Three Taverns and one of the best goses in all the land, Westbrook Gose from Charleston. If my those in my party were more adventurous beer drinkers, I would have easily gawked at the menu for hours, frantically trying to decide which Quad, Lambic, or Barleywine to try our hand at. Unfortunately, they don't share my fascination, so I wasn't going to drop the moolah for a super rare bomber. Maybe I need some new friends?! Bricks Store Pub is a mecca for alcohol. This has been my first restaurant outing since the beginning of the business closings in March and I'm so glad I picked Brick Store. I sat outside on the patio; the table umbrellas are large and protected us and our food from some quick showers and the sunshine that followed. The table has hand sanitizer on it and all of the very kind staff are wearing masks. I ordered the fried chicken sandwich. It had a very tasty mayo on it and was enjoyably crunchy. I can't believe I've been in Atlanta so long and just learned about Brick Store Pub! Don't be fooled by their small exterior footprint, they have so much to offer! Thoughts and Recommendations: - Great beer garden in the back! Just walk down the gravel path on the side and you'll end up in their beer garden. There are plenty of tables, a selection of beer, wine, and cocktails, and a smaller but delicious menu of quick bites. I recommend their smoked wings. - Inside the pub is much larger than anticipated. Sure there aren't a ton of tables but it's a 2-story venue. The inside is well kept, has a ton of character, and there's great music. The food and drink menu is different from the beer garden so you'll have many more options! - The parking situation here is the same as it is anywhere in downtown Decatur. No private lot but atleast the walk from wherever you park to get here is short and pleasant. - Service is great! We've been here a few times now and every time the host, waitresses, and bartenders are all so friendly and helpful. I have no complaints. read more

We started out meal with fried pierogies, they were interesting but I would recommend trying something else as an appetizer. My first trip to any Pub I order their Fish and Chips. I feel if your restaurant has Pub in the title you should have good Fish and Chips. I was disappointed in Brick Store Pub fish and chips. The batter fish was very soggy. The batter wasn't crisp at all. The fish also lacked flavor. They did recover the meal with really good and crisp fries. I wish the fish had the crispness of the fries. The House Birger and fries on the other hand was perfect. The burger was cooked to perfection. Not too much grease but just enough. Hamburger buns were toasted and not soggy plus the fries were perfect again (obvious consistency in their fries). I would definitely recommend their burgers. The staff were very nice and attentive. The restaurant follows social distancing and masks. Unfortunately there wasn't outdoor seating. I haven't been here in a very long time and I feel as if the vibe has changed - it used to be a lot more casual but people were more dressed up than I was when I came here for dinner on a Friday night. When I entered, I waited for a few minutes for the hostess to come back and then waited a bit more for the hostess to clean our table and set it for us. We were seated at the high top next to the bar. As the bar was a heavily trafficked area, people kept on bumping into my seat, which was no big deal. Our server came with water and took our drink orders. I ordered just a simple vodka soda. The bar must have been backed up since there was quite a wait on our drinks. When we got our drinks, we ordered the hummus to begin with. Everything on that place was really good and a good start to our email. For entree, I ordered the burger with no cheese and substituted the fries for the skillet roasted vegetables. My meal was ok, not the best. The patty itself was overly seasoned and dry but cooked to perfect medium temperature. The burger bun was way too dry for me so I didn't even eat it, but I didn't miss not eating the bun so it was fine. However, I did order my burger with no cheese (I'm lactose) but my burger came with cheese. I sucked it up and ate it anyway. My roasted vegetables had an interesting spice - it was roasted green beans, cremini mushrooms and fingerling potatoes. It was good but the bottom of that skillet was pure oil and not super appetizing. Overall, food is average, service is pretty good but the atmosphere is the best. We came here on a Sunday afternoon and were happily surprised to find no wait. The atmosphere: from the outside rustic looking wood door with an ornate curvy wooden handle, to the warm feel you get on the inside, this place had a truly unique design. It reminds me of a pub you would see in Europe, everything from the back wall to the floor to the tables and bar made of wood. They had it decorated for the holidays when we went, which added a nice homey feel to it. The high tables in the center of the first floor are even made out of wine barrels as their base, such a cool design touch. The downstairs area has a gorgeous high ceilings, making the space less loud as well. If you sit at the bar area you'll see that they have quite a few beers on tap, and take a peek at the beer seller. The selection of beer here is truly astounding. The food: Soft pretzel with spicy mustard and pimento cheese- the pretzel is baked to PERFECTION and the mustard is really rich. But the pimento cheese is the star of the dish. Must try. Great way to start your meal. Fried pierogis- not going to lie, these tasted like the frozen Mrs. T's pierogis. I wonder if they make these in house or take them out of a package and fry them. I hope it's the former. I also did not like how the fried pierogis were served sitting on a bed of oil/butter. This was one of those situations where I wish I could avoid seeing how much oil/butter goes into the restaurant food that I order. Having made pierogis myself every holiday growing up, if they don't make these from scratch they should consider it. It'll be minimal effort with a lot of reward. -1 star for this dish. Pierogi primavera platter- still Mrs. T's tasting pierogis BUT the sauce and veggies they added to them were absolutely fantastic. Must try. Completely worth it. Price: especially considering the location, the prices here were very fair. Only $9 for a burger, only $14 for a giant pierogi primavera platter. Completely worth the money. This place was so good I came here 2 nights in a row! The first night I got the trout sandwich with brussel sprouts. The sandwich was on sourdough, and was so damn good! However the sprouts weren't cooked enough and were hard in the middle. Second night I got the brisket sandwich with "chips" (they are really potato wedges). The brisket is absolutely amazing!! The beer is amazing, the servers and staff are incredibly friendly, and if you want a truly unique experience- sit down at the tiny bar directly at the top of the stairs and talk to the bartender while you get a beer. It won't disappoint. Now for the bad- I know the chef of 20 years left in 2022 I think? And the food has just gone so downhill. The Basics: Brick Store Pub is located in Decatur Square in Atlanta, GA. The inside of the restaurant is reminiscent of a British Pub, which makes it a really neat spot in Atlanta for a night out for any beer lovers. The restaurant is two stories, where the bottom floor contains a bar and most of the seating area while the upstairs portion of the restaurant has a larger bar space and some more tables. Things I like: Brick Store always has a revolving draft list of great beers, including very detailed descriptions of them which I find very helpful. This list changes about weekly-- so you're always in for some new beers on draft whenever you go. They also have a large book of other beer bottles they have in storage that you can order. Pretty much any beer you want, you can get it at Brick Store. One of my favorite things about Brick Store is you're guaranteed good beer, but the food is also great quality pub food. Some of my favorite items on the menu are the Bavarian Pretzels with pimento cheese ($7.00), the Veggie Sandwich ($10.00), the Pierogi Primavera ($14.00), and don't leave without trying the Pound Cake ($6) for dessert-- it sounds simple, but it's amazing. Things I don't like: Brick Store is a very popular restaurant, which makes for crowds on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. I, however, have never found this to be a problem. The featured special Noel beer was delightful and different and my friends enjoyed hard cider and wine. The place feels like a true pub and is often packed. We received ok service but had to ask for our beer twice. The food ranges from ok to good and prices are about what you'd expect for a nicer pub in Decatur. THE WAIT: None on a Wednesday night around 8:30pm. They were busy but not very crowded and there were plenty of tables, both upstairs and downstairs. They offered to give individual bills to each person, and even split our appetizer three ways across each of our bills - this made things very easy! Stopped by my aunts local favorite pub on my weekend visit to Atl. The set up was like a beer garden in the back with a few seats available in the front as well as inside. There was also a window in the alley to place an order at. Seats in the back are popular but once you find a table you're good to go. There's a walk up window, and an outside bar that has beers on tap, and will take food orders. Though they were very busy, the service was prompt and the lines moved quickly! I ordered the Chicken Pot Pie and can honestly say it's one of the best I've had! The pastry was flaky and dense enough to balance the saucy base. The sauce was so flavorful, the chicken was tender, and the vegetables were cooked perfectly to give some variation in texture. I took some home, and it was just as good the next day! The fried pierogis were also grey with the additional pecans, caramelized onions, and crispy sage. Wonderful combination of flavors. It's always a great experience at Brick Store. Took a client for lunch today. I had the trout, she had the pot roast. We were both pleased with our meals although I'm certain the trout was better.
