Attended a work dinner here this evening and it was wonderful! Service was fantastic especially since we kept talking and not being ready for anything when they'd come over! They made recommendations on food choices and humored us when we all decided to get something different to share asking for extra plates. I ordered the pot pie and a side house salad and practically licked my plate and bowl they were so freaking good! Sadly I didn't get any pictures because I was trying to be respectful of the company I was in but the dishes were all picture perfect! Love that they have a parking lot with plenty of space and a great dining room that was easy to accommodate several large parties! You have to make your way over to the Oak Grove neighborhood to try this local gem, Sprig!!! Everything from the menu to the service is so thoughtfully done and curated! They have an incredible Gluten Free selection, which is not why we went, but I noted that if you were GF, this would be your heaven-on-earth. As you may notice, the menu is on the pricier side compared to other joints in the neighborhood. I'm here to tell you, it's WORTH it! I had an absolutely delicious Pot Roast. Everyone in my group of 5 got something different but loved it just to same. Have eaten at the restaurant a few times and always very good. But, this time we went with some friends and tried the Speak Easy at the back/side of the restaurant. Once in we were welcomed by the two bartenders who were awesome! The place has a very cool vibe like that of an old time bar! Nice place for brunch on a rainy Sunday, though I imagine it's great on non-rainy days too. I had the veggie omelette with grits. It was very good. I liked all the vegetables in the omelette and I added cheese, but the cheese was not really noticeable. There were a lot of mushrooms. Plenty of filling, maybe not quite evenly distributed. My bowl of grits was fine. I specified no cheese, but it came with cheese on top anyway. The grits could have been more buttery and looser; these were very solid, like a bowl of baked polenta. Along with brunch I had the harvest mule cocktail that was cozy and tasty. Then I had the cherry pie a la mode. The pie crust was great, the filling fine, a little too gelatiny for me, but nothing at all wrong with it. With the scoop of ice cream it was the perfect sweet to end the meal. I'd eat here again. Service was very good. We had sufficient attention for things like water glass refills. Good parking lot, just know that you are not allowed to turn left into it from one direction. We had a reservation for 5 for brunch at 11:30 am on Sunday, 7/28/24. Sean was our waiter and he was wonderful! So patient with us! The average age of the customers skewed higher. Seems like a lot of retirees frequent the restaurant. Everyone was very sweet! They have a good selection of liquor at the bar, and it seems like they're known for their whisky. Very casual. They have high chairs! We split 2 appetizers and each got our own entrée. Here's what we got: - Pimento Cheese Fritters ($14): Good. - Blueberry Baked French Toast ($14): Glad we split this. It was really good and sweet, but I couldn't have eaten the entire dish myself. - Sprig Classic Burger ($14) with Sweet Potato Fries (+ $2): The burger was good. The fries would've been great if they weren't so salty. Others in my party had the Veggie Omelet ($14), Chilaquiles ($14), and Breakfast Croissant ($14). All were pretty average. Came for the speakeasy called subway. Super cool . Used to be an old subway restaurant but they went with a whole nyc theme. Booths tables and chaise no standing allowed so sit at bar make a reservation or sit with others in a shared booth. Nathan and Madison (I think was his name) were the bartenders and they mix some mean dranks. Order off the menu or tell them to surprise you and you won't be disappointed. This place is popular with the locals and i can see why! You might miss it if you're just driving by or scanning the area for something to eat but i definitely recommend stopping by. The staff is friendly, the atmosphere is pleasant, and the food is fantastic! So far i've had their quinoa salad, grit fries, world famous burger, eggs Benedict, and Spinach salad with grilled chicken (not pictured). All have been delicious and i think about going back on a daily! Special shout out to the manager Heather who is such a pleasant person to speak with and a joy to be around. One of the greatest disappointments of recent times. We were hoping this would be a neighborhood go-to but the food just wasn't that good. I had the grit fries and fried green tomatoes as my entree. They had the same breading and I kind of regretted getting two things that were so similar. The grit fries were actually good and I liked the sauce it was served with. I asked for no goat cheese on the tomatoes and had to send it back when it came out with it on there. There was a cilantro lime sauce on it that was not the right flavor profile and kind of ruined the tomatoes themselves. My bf had the swordfish which was dry and served with rice that was also not well prepared. Our waitress was new and seemed very overwhelmed, at one point at the verge of tears having also messed up a few things with the table next to ours. She was nice, and was trying. The saving grace of the meal was the cocktails. We *may* return for that. We had asked to be seated outside (with no reservation) and the cute area on the side was full so we were basically at the curb of the parking lot out front. Casual dining at its finest. My family and I were looking for a place to eat the day after Xmas and this place could accommodate our party. We only had 6, but could easily accommodate 10-12 in the corner booth we were in. We came for their dinner and we order appetizers: Brussels sprouts, fried green tomatoes and grit fries - they were all really good. The grit fries were pleasantly delicious and so were the tomatoes (I'm not really a fan of FGT). Everyone enjoyed their food: I got the portobello ravioli and it was really good (wished it was hotter in terms of temperature, but still really good and flavorful). Sprig is tucked away in a tiny little corner of a shopping center in North Druid Hills. You almost miss it if you go by too quickly. However, you walk in and it feels so grand and is decorated so beautifully. I was so surprised to see that it did not already have five stars on yelp. The menu changes here so you never know what you're gonna get but one thing I can guarantee you is that it's going to be delicious. I have had the lamb stroganoff twice and it's out of this world. The fried green tomatoes are so fresh and so delicious. I think about them often. I have also had a watermelon salad that they had during the spring and that was phenomenal, I would've never thought to get it had my friend not gotten it and it was so delicious. I tried Sprig many years ago for dinner when they opened and it was fine, not great. I recently tried it again, this time for brunch. The food was delicious. We shared grit fries and fried green tomatoes. Both were delicious. I got the bacon, eggs and grits plate, with a biscuit. My scrambled eggs were undercooked. We shared a skillet chocolate chip cookie which was amazing. We didn't have great service. We had to keep asking for water, a straw, salt and pepper, etc. I'm not in a hurry to go back. read more

Came here along time ago. Wanted to try it again since I'm in the Emory area. Went with a friend that ordered the wings pretty delicious. I ordered their " world famous "burger. It was tasty but undercooked . I had to send it back. "Hi, I wanted to address this to you without posting a public review. We had dinner this evening at Sprig, a group of six, reservation under Damon at 7:30. I was debating between the fried chicken and the meatloaf, both of which I have had and liked. I went with the chicken, and was surprised when it came out as a flattened chicken breast, instead of a bone-in breast and wing. It was overcooked and dry, to the point that I almost choked on one bite. The collards were mostly ham hock. The macaroni and cheese, however were improved, more creamy and with an addition of onion(?) were the best part of the meal. Another person in our group ordered the shrimp and grits, and said it had changed as well, but thought it was great. Please revisit the fried chicken or come up with something else." Sprig management, why don't you respond to your emails. Are you that satisfied with your business? Thus lies the way of business closures. A note about Yelp: I am only posting about the food. The service was good, the ambiance was ok, but noisy as always. First time dining here was in April this year, my sister and I went here for her birthday, and both had an Amazing time. When the manager found out it was my sister's birthday, she treated her to dessert. Our server Keon was very personable and made some fantastic recommendations. If I lived in the neighborhood this would be my go-to spot, seriously I would dine here at least once a week if I lived closer. Sprig has dining outside and inside, a seasonal menu, and a full bar with a mixologist that has mad skills! After our dinner we walked through the neighborhood park next door, such a charming spot. We arrived around 6pm on a Saturday night and made reservations; there were a few tables opened when we arrived but a hour later or two later it was pretty full.   We came for dinner but ended up ordering a few appetizers and sharing because they all sounded so delicious. We had cheese grit fries $12, brussels sprouts $12, fried oysters $15, and fried green tomatoes $13; each dish was perfect! I believe our favorites were the grit fries and fried green tomatoes. Came here with a friend for Sunday brunch. The fried green tomatoes were perfectly tangy and yummy. I had the pigs in a blanket French toast, which was surprisingly delicious. The sausage was flavorful and the French toast was crispy around it. I would definitely get both again! Reservations are on OpenTable and the place was packed within an hour of opening so def a good idea. The staff was friendly, but it seemed the kitchen was slow. Enjoyed the food and service very much. Prices are average for the food. I've been told that there is a great bar in the Back of the restaurant and you walk through a door in the book case. We did make a reservation the day-of and I'm glad we did - we were seated quickly and there weren't many tables available. Now for our food! I went with a kale Caesar salad and added grilled chicken for protein. There were two size options and I ordered the large. It was definitely size appropriate for an entree. I'm in love with their bourbon collection. There are so many different options to choose from that its fun coming and just creating your own little flight of different flavors. Aside from the bar, the food is actually pretty great also. I came here for the first time during a holiday party so I tried alot of items. I love their grit fries and could eat those in a meal by themselves. The brussel sprouts are amazing and the fried chicken was consistently crispy even though we ordered a huge tray for the party.
