Came here after a few friends recommended it as they used to go to school in the area and while there were some good dishes, nothing really blew us away. Don't get me wrong the burger is good but I'd be lying if I said there isn't another burger in this area I was mentally comparing it to and it felt short. I will say the Caesar salad we started with was delicious! Definitely will be getting that again. The staff were incredibly nice and attentive which was great. Great drinks too! Maybe an off night,,.

This was my first time dining at The Chelsea, and it definitely won't be my last. The ambience alone made the experience warm, stylish, and inviting. I ordered the Chicken Caesar Salad to start, which was fresh, well-balanced, and surprisingly satisfying. For my main i ordered the Fried Meatballs and they were incredible--crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and packed with flavor. To top it all off, I tried the Chelsea Rose cocktail, and it was perfect- refreshing, beautifully crafted, and a great complement to the meal. Overall, the entire experience was a 10 out of 10. Highly recommend The Chelsea to anyone looking for great food, a great vibe, and an all-around fantastic night out.

The Chelsea has the best Chicken scarpariello in town! This is my go to dish and highly recommend. We dropped in for lunch and we were in and out quickly. Service was very friendly and we look forward to returning soon.

Best Cobb salad I ever had in my life! Beets, avocados, hunks of Gorgonzola, poached egg plus more! Great cocktails, all of us really enjoyed our meals

We went to The Chelsea on Thursday night for an impromptu dinner. We'll absolutely be back soon! Both my mom and I hadn't been to The Chelsea in 5 ish years but had been hearing great things recently so we had to get in there. We started with the Octopus appetizer. Almost everytime we see octopus on a menu, we have to give it a try. We LOVED the chorizo sweet potato has it was served over as well as the sauce combos. The octopus itself was a little too chewey and not as tender as we'd hoped, but overall the flavors were spot on. I ordered the 1/2 chicken scarpiello. If you're debating what to get, let this dish be it! It was INCREDIBLE. I wished I'd had some bread to lap up the amazing sauce LOL. The chicken was so crispy and juicy. I'll be craving it for sure. My mom got the swordfish picatta. It was super tasty. The flavors were great and the swordfish tasted as expected. The piece was a bit thin, but the flavors made up for it. Our service was great. Waitstaff was kind. The bar was packed and looked so fun. The ambiance was perfect. We had a great night at The Chelsea and can't wait to return!

Dinner for 2 on a Wednesday. There wasn't too much of a crowd and we were treated really well. Grilled octopus was delicious as was the swordfish piccata. Reasonably priced. Off-street parking is a plus.

This is a review that I forgot to write, from a visit in November. Not my first visit to The Chelsea, but this time I took friends. The tables were very nicely setup to observe all of the rules of social distancing. We had a lovely night out, and enjoyed the food The Chelsea is so famous for. I started off the meal with their delicious Mile High Manhattan (Tin Cup Colorado Whiskey & Alessio Rosso Vermouth, Amerena cherry & a dash of whiskey barrel aged bitters) We shared an appetizer of Calamari, that came with General Tso's glaze, arugula & Thai chili mayo. My main course was Scallops, pan seared over mushroom risotto, wilted spinach leaves & toasted slivered almonds. One of my friends had Chicken 'Scarpariello' (pan-roasted half a bird, spicy cherry peppers & smash-fried red bliss potatoes) and my other friend had a Tuna Burger, topped w/ avocado, tomato, bean sprouts & spicy mayo. The food at The Chelsea is always absolutely mouthwatering. The portions are a great size. They are continuing today to do in-door dining, as well as carry-out.

I had a fun time here celebrating my gfs bday with friends. The drinks were strong and tasty and the food was good! The staff was very friendly and as attentive as they could be with how busy it got! Definitely a great spot for Sunday brunch!

My second time dining at 29 Markle Court yesterday! When…read morefirst I was introduced to this restaurant: an impromptu visit with a group, and we shared small plates, family style. It was delicious! This time, I reserved a table for four, including guests who were up to an adventurous evening. The place was hopping! A Friday evening fun atmosphere and a beautiful bar that reminded me of a Paris restaurant. We were seated at a great table with banquettes in a corner of the front dining room. Our waitperson was excellent- energetic, informed of the menu, friendly & interactive, I believe her name was Shamira. We received great recommendations for dishes on the menu accommodating certain preferences. Following Cocktails - from the usual order of Scotch, to the " Crimson" spicy, indeed. The "Wanderer" imbiber said she could sip them all night. I, being mostly just a wine drinker, ordered from the "unusual wines" - a delicious white wine from Languedoc named "Picpoul De Pinet, Feline Jourdan", which paired very well with both courses. Based on my enthusiasm we all shared a bottle with our Main Course! Total alignment. We shared Caesar salads, which were excellent. Everyone enjoyed their selection of a main course: Halibut with corn risotto, Shrimp & Grits with spicy red sauce (just right spicy), My dish was Mussels in ginger & lemongrass red Curry, paired with grilled bread for soaking up that sauce, Yum!; a Whole Red Snapper with Mole sauce for my husband - most adventurous diner of the evening! We stretched ourselves to order two desserts: Crème Brûlée and Goat Cheesecake! Sublime. On departing the Restaurant, we were thanked for dining by the Proprietor, Wesley. We had an inspiring conversation about Bridgeport's future. A memorable evening.

Drinks first: my slightly dirty martini was made exactly right. My friend went with cosmo and it was equally on point. Whoever is behind that bar has their act together. Then the food happened. We started with grilled bread with an EVOO, agave, and chile dip -- sounds simple, ate like a statement. The char on the bread, the heat and sweetness of that dip. Good sign of things to come. Main event: shrimp and grits. Guinea flint grits, spicy red sauce, sage, stock. I don't say this lightly -- this is one of the best things I've eaten in a long time. The grits were creamy and rich, the sauce had real depth and heat, and the shrimp were perfectly cooked. The whole bowl just worked on every level. Dessert: goat cheesecake with pistachio dust and berry compote. Tangy, creamy, not too sweet, and that pistachio dust on top was a perfect finish. We cleared the plate.

A Gorgeous Greenhouse Escape (With a Few Pro-Tips!)…read more Honestly, walking into Terrain Garden Cafe in Westport feels like stepping directly into a high-end botanical dream. If you've ever shopped at Anthropologie or Urban Outfitters and thought, "I wish I could live inside this aesthetic," well... that makes perfect sense once you learn that the CEO of those brands actually founded Terrain to get people back in touch with gardening. They've completely nailed the vibe. The space is a massive, 16,000-square-foot wonderland of natural light, plants, hanging lanterns, and gorgeous seasonal displays. But let's talk about the real star: the Garden Café, which sits right in the east wing of the greenhouse. It merges this stunning indoor greenhouse space with an open-air brick patio and a full-service bar. Here is my honest breakdown and how to navigate this place like a local: The Parking Situation (Read This Before You Go!) * The Weekend Rush: Weekends here--especially around lunchtime--are absolutely chaotic. Parking can be a total nightmare. Do yourself a favor and just use the valet. It saves so much frustration. * The Weekday Cheat Code: If you can swing a weekday visit, do it. It's way quieter, and I've never once had an issue finding a parking spot on a Tuesday or Wednesday. * Going Solo? When I'm by myself, I bypass the host stand entirely and grab a seat at the bar. There's almost never a wait, and the service is always fast and friendly. * Group Dinners: When I'm with friends, we always request the outdoor dining area if the weather is nice. A quick heads-up for pet owners: We used to love bringing our dogs to eat with us on the outdoor patio, but apparently some people complained, so they now strictly enforce a "no animals except service animals" policy. It's a bummer, but the food and experience are still totally worth the trip. The Food: Fresh, Seasonal, & Delicious Their menu is farm-to-table and highly seasonal, and you can really taste the quality of the ingredients. Two of my personal favorites: * The Breakfast Board: If you want a classic, no-nonsense, high-quality morning meal, get this. It comes with two free-range eggs, applewood smoked bacon, breakfast sausage, potato hash, sourdough, and a side of dressed greens. It's simple but executed perfectly. * The Short Rib & Eggs: If you want to treat yourself to something a bit more decadent, this is the move. It's coffee-braised short rib with a poached egg and potato hash. The meat is literally fork-tender and melts in your mouth. 10/10. Verdict: It's beautiful, the food is delicious, and the retail store is incredibly fun to browse after you eat. Just plan your parking ahead of time!

We came for brunch on a Saturday. Food was excellent. I had the avocado toast with smoked salmon and perfectly cook over-easy eggs, others had the frittata, and the French toast. We all had Bloody Marys too. They tasty and just the right amount of spicy. The kiddies had pasta (off menu, thank you for accommodating, Artisan) and the delicious pancakes with the works: cream, chocolate, and chocolate. Wow. I got the Cioppino for my entree. Not much going on with the dish. It's almost like they ran out of seafood!! They didn't skimp on onion though. The dish was swimming in flakes and flakes of onion. I can't really have onion so I was piling the onions on the side of my plate. They were excessive. There wasn't much there for $40. My boyfriend got the salmon per usual with the cauliflower risotto. He enjoyed. Not much to report there. I have heard good things about L'escale (restaurant at Delamar in Greenwich) so still went to check that out. Maybe it's just an Artisan thing I don't care for.
