I was visiting with a girlfriend for the weekend from Maryland. We were told this was the place to go after restaurant hours, for the night life. It's a typical college bar. DJ had some great songs and took requests, which is a plus. Once things got jumping though, requests were no longer played and popular music took priority. Can't really be mad, I don't want a bunch of drunk people complaining about requests anyhow. Crowd was typical of a college bar. There was a mix of locals and college students who stayed there for Thanksgiving break. A guy who was very respectful bought my friend and I a drink and was classy about his approach. There was also a guy waiting outside of the bathroom to grab my friends arm in his desperate hope to have someone to go home with after 1:30 when the lights came up. A typical local bar. These exist all over. Still had a good time. The Tv's in the place are only able to be missed if you're blind. I liked that they had a giant screen for playing the game, however, once the game went off, they turned on random acts of cartoons and other shows ( I am a huge cartoon fan, but not of stupid cartoons though) that obviously cater to college kids. Love everything about this place the decor really stands out from your typical cookie cutter chain restaurants love seeing all the regulars painted on the walls. The subs are fantastic and huge! My favorite is the ny yankee finally corned beef with out sauerkraut! I love the alfredo pizza add spinach. And definatly try one of the drinks their bartender gizmo makes up. The owners have always made me feel like family every time I come in. I recommend this place to anyone be it a family or just a group of friends out for a good time. read more

I would say this place is a 3.5-4. I've had the chicken parm sub with fries here which was huge and good and today we had the pizza. Pizza was huge and as another reviewer said it is greasy but in my view that's a good thing- a sign of plenty of pepperoni, cheese and oil in the sauce. There is plenty of sauce and toppings on the pizza which is excellent as the problem with chains these days is you're basically eating bread with a bit of cheese. The sauce is a little sweeter than id prefer, but it was still a good pie that I would eat again if I return. Crust has good texture/ consistency. I had the pizza at the Newport News location once which wasn't as good- still too sweet sauce and the rest of it didn't impress me so well done to the Williamsburg location today. read more

Went in on a Saturday night with a group of 30 in town for a soccer tournament. Seats were reserved as promised. Wide variety of food to suit all tastes & fair prices. Our server was excellent as well. This place got high marks for being able to serve a crowd. Try the Wings "Jose style". If you are in Williamsburg, VA this is an absolutely must go place! I went to College of William and Mary, so this was my favorite of all the Deli's / Bars in the city. I like Brickhouse, because they have TVs all around the place. I can watch all the sporting action in an awesome atmosphere. Their most popular item is the Chicken Wing - Jose. I have traveled through NYC, DC, Columbus, Richmond, Orlando etc. These are the best wings I ever had. I like their Monday night all you can eat special on wings. Combine that with good beer, friends, and Monday night football - That's an awesome time right there. Not only that, they have live music, karaoke, Dance floor, DJ on the weekends too! Food was ok. Nothing great or exceptional. Waitress was attentive until after the "is everything ok check" and then she was difficult to get and it wasn't because the restaurant got busy. We felt held hostage waiting for the our check as many less than great servers tend to do. Probably wouldn't do this again when we are in town. read more

I'm updating my review because unfortunately my love for this place has gone downhill. The wait staff always changes and there is never a familiar face. The waitresses are so hard to understand because of their accents. Last time I went the food was really greasy, yuck! I used to love their crazy bread. Now don't even get me started on their DJ. I go for the nightlife because it is the only place to dance in Williamsburg. The DJ always starts way too late (like past 11:00) and then doesn't cater to the crowd. He doesn't keep it upbeat enough to keep the interest. Drinks are cheap but don't go for the nightlife if you are expecting any. And please please patch up your walls. The paint chips and tacks in the wall look tacky. read more

We recently moved to the Williamsburg area and in bouncing around the other night we stumbled upon Brickhouse Tavern. It was early on a Thursday night so things were a little slow, but the service and bartender were awesome! O'Neal was our bartender, he was quick with the drinks and great to talk to. He gave us a lot of info on the area, and welcomed us to the neighborhood. The DJ went on around 9 for karaoke and though it wasn't packed around 1030pm when we left, I would bet it got a little more crowded. O'Neal told us the bar was only 6 months old, but it was a busy dance spot on the weekends. We'll definitely be back to see our guy and try it out again. read more

Cute place. Pizza slices are huge! Get a tall size beer. A mug so big you could swim in it. Very friendly staff. I thought the pizza was pretty good and I'm from Jersey so I'm a bit of a pizza snob. Came with my 10 year old and he enjoyed it too. read more

My wife and I stopped in here the 1st night in town to have a drink and just some appetizers. Service by the young waitstaff was great and food was good typical bar grub. That said, there was an older man, assuming a manager or owner, who was way too "handsy" with the young female staff. I'd been coming here for months without problem until now. The owners and managers were walking around shouting at people to leave at 1:35am. I was told to chug my beer and get out. I calmly told him that online, it says their business is open until 2am and he said he gets to kick people out whenever he wants, so get out! The previous night was crowded and several fights broke out. A guy walked out with a bloody shirt and several of my friends said they felt unsafe so I tried to tell both wait staff and a manager but when management was notified, nothing was done. My friends and I no longer wish to come here and they have done nothing but hurt their business through recent actions. read more

Service was great with a seat your self kind of thing going on. The staff was friendly and eager to take our order. They had lots of options with good prices. Their pizza crust is super chewy and delicious -almost like a bread stick. I will mention that my family and I could have done without all of the cheese on the baked ziti and calzone. Got into town late about 11:30 pm and by the time I got everything to my room and went to get dinner it was 12:30 am an hour and a half before they are supposed to close (I already had what I wanted in mind because I already looked at the menu before going). I go to go in and a male employee (I am not sure if he is the owner or manager) steps outside the other set of doors to sweep the outside and he looks at me and goes "Hey, we're closed." And gives me this look like I better leave or else there's going to be trouble. So I ended up leaving confused as to how they were already closing way before the time is posted. On a recent trip to the Williamsburg area we discovered this jewel on the recommendation of two locals . We arrived on a Monday night and to our pleasure it was all you can eat wing night. Our waitress Meagan was excellant and we recommend you ask for her. She suggested that I try the Jose wings. These particular wings are a bbq hot sauce mixture and then grilled....oh my were these spectacular. Easily making my top five if not the best wing sauce I have tasted. My wife got the bourbon sauce which she said was.amazing. We also tried a small meatball pizza. This Brooklyn style pie was super delicious loaded with cheese and meatballs and the garlic.crust was.amazing. Brickhouse Tavern was spot on in hitting my three musts....must have great food must have great service and must have great atmosphere. This place was such a hit with us that we returned for a second visit within our week visit. To our pleasure Meagan was working and just like our first visit her service was spot on. This place was great. When a group of us went on a Tuesday afternoon we were the only people there but it still didn't take away from the ambience and food. The server was very friendly and social and told us that the place gets really busy at night and on weekends. We went back on a weekend day and he was right the place was happening. I just visited Brickhouse for the first time last night. Took advantage of their large $9.99 pizza night. When I say a large pizza- I mean it's what I would consider an extra large. Fantastic pizza!! So good, great flavor, obviously made with pride! The staff was wonderful even when the place really filled up for karaoke, the waitress still checked in with us often. I highly reccomend this establishment, just keep in mind that they do some sort of entertainment every night so if you are looking for a quiet evening make sure you leave by 9pm. Let me just start with the food and the bartender service... very happy with it, service was great, food was great. Sooo the bad point.... me and my gf were there for an hour and all of a sudden this 5 person group of obvious rich kids from William and Mary parents come up to the bar and 1 of them is right against me basically so my gf says to them... hey, can you give us some space???? We get instant attitude!!! Just start being assholes!!! Saying stuff like you shouldn't be at a public bar if your social distancing... so we went back and forth... it calmed down, I went outside to smoke and they started on my gf again!!! Obviously being little punks because they didn't want to say it with me there. Then as I was paying my bill and my gf was talking to the manager about it... another random guys get off his bar stool ti go to the bathroom and he holds up 2 middle fingers up behind my gfs back(him not knowing I saw this) I took my glasses off and waited at the corner of the bathroom for him to come out and the manager got involved.... Worst place I've ever been. I was in the bathroom and locked the door some girl walked in on me and my husband yelled hey my wife's in there. I slammed the door and locked it again and she walked in on me again. Then when I came out I saw bouncers there saying my husband had to leave because he kept telling the girl I was in there. Whatever you do, do not order the "home made" lasagna - it's only one layer and has nothing to it. As my food loving boyfriend said "worst lasagna I've ever had".
