Cheese pizza

We stopped in here while exploring colonial Williamsburg because it had multiple items on the menu I knew my kids would like. It was pretty quiet when we went as it's about a 10 minute walk away from merchants square. Staff was super friendly and greeted us when we entered. We got the pizza meatball parm and grilled chicken wrap. All the food was pretty good!

I hate to say it but.. the food is just very bad. You can tell it's all frozen/microwaved food and it just does not taste good at all. The bartender, however, is super awesome and chatty. The drink service was quick and the drinks are pretty cheap, but he did bring me the wrong drink (still a fine drink, but not the one I asked for). I would absolutely not order food here again, but I wouldn't mind coming back for a drink maybe...

Both me and my lady agreed on this score. Pizza tasted awesome even after ordering it and not eating right away because we were getting our drink on. But on the way way home we tore that thing up and even being a bit cold, it was delightful.

Staff was nice and friendly, food was good, bought my son to stay on the resort and wanted something different

Came in as a large group and I personally was not impressed. We wanted to eat out but this place was our only option because every other restaurant in the area was full due to MW graduation. This place had good reviews but I'm starting to think that number comes from local college kids who come for cheap drinks. Starting with the food- you always know food is gonna be underwhelming when the menu is huge. We ordered burgers, pasta, and pizza but we all agreed that each of our dishes were nothing to write home about. Personally, I got the alfredo chicken pasta. Sauce was bland (it's hard to get quality Alfredo for cheap) and the chicken was sort of dry, as expected. The garlic bread was good but it's kinda hard to mess that up. I will note however that all of us felt that the portion of each meal was very generous and we all went home with lunch for the next day. As for the service- we were helped by a young girl who shared that it was her first week. She was sweet and did a very good job despite still learning. She had some help which was totally understandable- however, one of the staff members spilled a beer we had ordered (not much but still) and kinda just left the mess for us to deal with. I did note as well that everything was served with plastic cutlery, as if we had ordered to-go. Not sure if this is the usual but felt cheap. Overall the experience was very meh. Not amazing but not awful. If you're looking for somewhere to eat after Busch Gardens this could be a good choice- food is alright and cheap-ish.

I've been all over Italy, Asia, and No America...and this is easily the best pizza I have ever had. The small pizza is still huge, even my 15yo couldn't finish the four slices. The service was attentive and wonderful. Our server was kind, helpful, and interacted really well with our kiddos. I will say that it's a little loud, so that could be overwhelming for some people. But the restaurant is super clean, the decor is fun, and the atmosphere is exactly what you'd expect at a busy pizzeria. I cannot recommend this place enough. Like, I may actually travel the 3,000 miles back to Williamsburg again just for the pizza.

The ambiance is like a dim lighted factory. It's connected to a few other eateries and brewery with restrooms in the lobby of all facilities. Ordered the pretzel bites with a beer cheese. These were good in the sense of being soft, chewy dough balls to dip in cheese. I don't believe they tasted like pretzels at all. They tasted more like the pizza dough, but still a good appetizer. Ordered a pepperoni pizza. Dough was fluffy and airy. It seemed a bit over proofed. The pepperoni overcrowded the top and made for a very greasy topping. Sauce is sweeter than my liking. The taste was similar to a commercial chain pizza so younger children tend to love that. Overall, an interesting setting. We left with full bellies and prices were reasonable.

The local chain offers various pzizza, subs, appetizers and wings, salads, desserts, and even GF options.  I am totally OBSESSED with their Cheesebread - it's their famous pizza crust, baked with garlic butter and cheese - think of it like cheesy garlic bread, but in a round pizza form; it is served with marinara and Chanello's dip, but I recommend in getting their garlic dip instead! The Cheesebread can get a little greasy from the cheese, but it's all good!  It is definitely super cheesy, and the crust is so soft and fluffy; it has that nice slight crisp exterior, too!  The thick and creamy garlic dip is such a great complement.  My mouth is literally drooling just thinking of it! Service here can be a hit-or-miss - some of the employees can be super stingy with the sauces and the dips, even after you have paid extra for them! Also, it should be made clear of how many sauces/dips you would get with each size of the pizza or the cheesebread. This is a carry-out/delivery only; waiting about 10-15 minutes guarantees in a piping hot, unbelievably fresh pie - yum! The most important was the rudeness of the ??? manager who yelled at me in front of my grandchild who wanted the pizza. It was the most misrebal food experience to date... DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME.

The menu also has so many food options, making it easy to find something for everyone. The food overall was great and very enjoyable. However, I would not recommend the brownie and chocolate sundae dessert. The brownie and cookie were cold and hard, which made the dessert disappointing. On the positive side, the carrot cake was huge and definitely worth sharing -- easily enough for 3-4 people. The service was excellent as well. Our waiter was very attentive throughout the meal and made sure everything was taken care of. Overall, Second Street American delivers great food variety, strong service, and a family-friendly atmosphere, with just a few misses on dessert.
