Filet Mignon, perfectly done at medium rare! Bricks has a wonderful atmosphere, friendly, proficient staff (Heidi today) and delicious food.

The service is excellent here with some people who have worked for many years at Bricks. They are professional, proficient and personable. The ambiance is smart casual to dressy with dim lighting for quiet get togethers or larger rooms for parties of family or friends. The food is always fresh, flavorful and plentiful. The appetizers are incredibly tasty, especially the coconut crusted prawns! The filet mignon is tender and tasty cooked as requested. The Wild King Salmon is increase and served with a delicious sherry sauce. I keep coming back to try new items on the menu and enjoy the atmosphere.

Bricks is a mainstay in Reno for good reason, they serve high quality and delicious food with yummy twists. The baked mushroom caps were just as cheesy, gooey, decadent with the perfect blue cheese notes to add flavor interest as I remember them from last time we came. Use the bread to dip and clean out the whole bowl! I do wish the bread was higher quality, was a little sad and crusty. The veal picatta was exceptional, super thin veal that was so juicy and flavorful and tender, I don't know how they did it! The caper sauce with the tangy sun dried tomatoes was a hit. The halibut was also super tasty and in a fun twist in an Asian style sauce with perfectly cooked pasta, a light sweet coconut broth I wanted to spoon up! Love coming to Bricks for a special and elevated date night!

Came in for a birthday celebration. It was a slow night so it felt very intimate and cozy. Service was very good, but the food was what really stood out! We had the elk chop and the cowboy steak special. Both were perfectly cooked and seasoned. The skillet mac and cheese was amazing as well! It is on the pricier end but its a great spot to come in for a special occasion!

Filet mignon& mashed potatoes was excellent!!

First time at Bricks for a small company Christmas party and it was awesome!! I loved the old school vibe and feel of the restaurant! Service was good, maybe a touch slow but the restaurant was super busy and we all enjoyed socializing and chatting in between courses. We ordered crab cakes and Caesar salad for everyone at the table and both appetizers were delicious. Caesar dressing was zesty and a little creamy , crab cakes were really good too. 3 of us ordered filet mignon with mashed potatoes, I thought the filet dinner was excellent , cooked and seasoned perfectly mashed taters were creamy and delicious , a great meal across the board. I also enjoyed a couple whiskey sours with my meal and for dessert we had the baked alaska coffee ice cream cake. I highly recommend everything we ordered and I can't wait to come back try it all over again !! Great job....Cheers!!

An amazing experience. 5 of us for dinner July 9. Great service, appetizers were spot on. Entrees exceed expectations. Best meal I've had in Reno in 5+ years.

Try the curry halibut for something zesty and original. I have eaten here many times. Quiet upscale joint with a familiar old-school simple feel to it. The food is always solid, if not spectacular. The service has always been great. If you are looking for a place to host formal private meetings or talks, they offer two quiet private rooms. As far as the Reno restaurant scene goes, this is one of the more reliable choices outside of the large casinos.

I've been to meaning on come to bricks, and I had the pleasure of finally going tonight! It gave old school charm! My husband and I got the crabcakes, spinach salad and shared a ribeye steak. Everything was absolutely delicious. The baked Alaska was a little bit of an after thought but a great way to end the meal. I definitely want to come back here, as the prices are very fair for their quality.

We celebrated my birthday at Brock's on a Wednesday The place was hopping-bar looked to be busy and the Dining room was full. Joy was our server and she was a delight! My SIL had called ahead to pay for a bottle of wine for us. The message was conveyed and taken care of seamlessly. I always love Bricks and it is a favorite for any celebration. We started with their lump crab cakes which had a delicious remoulade sauce with the perfect amount of spice. Moved on to a caprese salad with avocado...and our main courses were the pasta seafood Special (prawns, lobster and scallops in a creamy wine sauce.) AMAZING! Hubs had the salmon with a red wine reduction and mashed Potatoe. Melt in your mouth

This is a great restaurant near the element hotel. The appetizers were delicious in the steak which they are famous for is really good and a nice size. The fries that came with a steak were delicious. The staff is friendly in the ambience is good. The baked Alaska dessert was also great with some coffee.

One of Reno's best kept secret. Great steakhouse at a reasonable price. My wife and I usually do a surf and turf and get a fillet and the seafood thermidor. The thermidor is insane! A very generous portion or lobster, scallops, and shrimp. The sauce is amazing, and the depth of flavor achieved is impressive! The servers are always knowledgeable and friendly. If you are looking for a great spot for a date night, look no further than bricks!

In my all my 28+ years living in Reno, how have I not been here before? Last minute reservations on a Saturday night led to an amazing dinner at Bricks. My party was seated right away upon arriving. We were all hungry so we ordered main entrees without appetizers. We had the shrimp scampi, seafood thermidor, filet mignon and macadamia crusted sea bass. Although it took some time for the dishes to come out, it was well worth the wait. All the plates came out hot and based on my party's reaction, everyone enjoyed their food. Large portions and everything was seasoned and cooked to perfection. I had the seafood thermidor and highly recommend it if you like seafood. We ended our meal with the baked Alaska and crème brûlée for dessert and both were delicious and not overly sweet. Service was great, ambiance was what you expect of a steakhouse and pricing quite reasonable for a steakhouse. All in all a great dining experience. We will be back.

The long tables lined with bottles feel almost like a curated gallery, and the garage-style doors let in natural light that makes the whole place feel alive without being loud or overwhelming. What really stands out is how intentional everything feels, especially the wine list. It is handwritten on a large chalkboard, which gives it a relaxed, neighborhood vibe, but the selection is thoughtful and globally inspired. You will find a mix of Old World staples and boutique producers alongside well-chosen California options. The list includes everything from crisp Picpoul and Bordeaux Blanc blends to approachable Pinot Noir, Malbec, and Cabernet Sauvignon, along with more unique offerings like Loire Valley blends and Spanish varietals that show they are not just playing it safe. The pricing is another highlight. Most glasses land in the $9 to $15 range, which feels more than fair for the quality. They even offer a carafe option, about two and a half glasses, which is perfect for sharing and encourages you to settle in and enjoy the experience rather than rush through it. The atmosphere is exactly what you want in a wine bar. It is relaxed, conversational, and effortlessly refined. It is the kind of place where you can catch up with friends, go on a date, or simply unwind and end up staying longer than you planned. What truly made our visit exceptional was our server, Kate. She went above and beyond in every way. She was attentive without being intrusive, knowledgeable about the wines, and genuinely warm in her approach. She made thoughtful recommendations, checked in at the right moments, and created an experience that felt personal rather than transactional. It is clear she cares about what she does, and it made a great environment feel even better. Black Rock Wine Co is not trying too hard, and that is exactly why it works. It is curated, welcoming, and just the right level of elevated. We will absolutely be back.

I've been excited to start making my rounds in the Reno/Tahoe/Truckee areas and let me tell you, I started off strong! I was able to book a reservation when I Googled the tasting room. I wasn't sure I needed one so I made just to be on the safe side. Our reservation was on Saturday before Memorial day weekend so I wasn't sure how busy it would be. Our reservation was for 4:30 and we would would been okay without one. I booked a window view which gives you a nice view facing 4th street and beyond. There are so many seating options and you can't tell from the outside but there's definitely plenty of room! It looked like they have some outdoor seating as well! All three of us ordered a tasting flight and eat all shared a charcuterie board and a lobster roll. My flight was the Pinot Noir and I was very impressed! Each one was better than the last! The charcuterie board was amazing and something I'd definitely order again. The filling of the lobster roll was good but I wasn't a fan of the bread. Our server was prompt, personable, and so sweet, we enjoyed her very much! I love the different seating options and that you can look around at all the wines they have within the building.
