This is a great addition to Joplin and if they can keep the quality up it will stay very popular. Large chains like this open up here and then after a while start getting lazy and cheap. They start substituting inferior ingredients and frozen or pre-made food from Sam's and try and pass it off. Then the customers fall away and so do the better staff. I'm not saying any of that is going to happen with Bricktown, let's hope not because its quality is really good, its staff is friendly, attentive, and well trained. First off, they are an actual brewery. I don't know about the beer because we don't drink. However, they are the only place I know of in Joplin that makes draft root beer, and it's good! They have typical bar food on the menu but it's better than the typical bar food. Also, they have unexpected menu items that hit a lot of different types of foods so it's hard to pin them down as a grill or a burger joint. They make so many different kinds of things Everything we have sampled so far has been very good and it's hard not to keep eating the same thing each time. Try everything, I think you'll find a bunch of favorites to bring you back over and over. Hopefully, they hold to what makes them really good now and continue to improve, not fall back trying to add to profits or whatever other reasons owners get cheap and lazy. If they do they will end up like their predecessor and fade away. Let's hope they stay ahead of the fray, Joplin needs more placed like this. read more

JoMO is a stopping spot for us as we navigate westward destinations from the STLou on Hwy 44. Over the years we've preferred to find local spots vs. the chain joints since those places often disappoint. Our usual was closed on a Monday so we needed a new spot. We dialed up and rolled into Bricktown Brewery on a long return road trip when we needed some lunch grub. We arrived past the lunch rush and sat down to a clean, contemporary and quiet atmosphere. Our server was all biz, not in a bad or good way, he just was there to take our order, serve our food and get what we needed when when needed it. My lady ordered a burger as did I, her's on a gluten free bun (which she said I should not-was good, didn't fall apart like most GF buns) she selected sweet potato fries which she said were AMAZING and I selected loaded mashed potatoes which were equally good. The beef was tasty, had a nice grill char, I added bacon which was candy sweet. Lots of beverage choices for all your drinking needs-we got water and a soda (they have pepsi products-which was good since I needed caffeine provided by Mt. Dew.) I recommend BB for your caloric needs, great spot, we'll hit it up again. read more

Bricktown Brewery felt like an upgrade Chilies or Old Chicago. I unfortunately couldn't try their beers but I did check out their menu. As I am vegetarian, my only option was the veggie pizza. They did not have any other options or really any vegan options either so make sure to check the menu if you have dietary restrictions. The pizza itself was okay. It's just your standard typical pizza (imagine an upgraded version of frozen Walmart pizza) but nothing super special. It was only $12 bucks for a personal size though which was nice! I just wish they had other options for me like a black bean burger or impossible burger. The wait staff was great though! The lady we had was so sweet and funny. Made our night! read more

I really wanted to like bricktown brewery because I'm always interested in new restaurants popping up in town. I was disappointed to say the least. I tried the fried chicken sandwich and it was two thin Pattys with breading in between the two that wasn't fully cooked. It was a little gross tbh. The fries were pretty standard as well. The wait staff was nice but I heard a couple and a man that came for pick up complain that they were inattentive and apparently rude over the phone. This wasn't my experience but I was surprised to hear it at the bar. The interior decor is clean and new. It's an enjoyable place to eat if you are looking for very standard fare. This is our go to place when traveling from Texas to Illinois. Always had good experiences until tonight. First the menus were literally worn and sticky. Second our table was sticky. Third I always have a blueberry beer, it was flat, to the point where the blueberries didn't move at all in the glass. Our worst experience was my wife ordered a Bloody Mary with no horseradish. The waitress brought a Bloody Mary with no relishes and horseradish. We sent it back and the bartender had the waitress return it back to us saying there was no horseradish in it. Well you could taste it and see the horseradish so we returned it again and the bartender remade it and the waitress put a couple of olives in it! The food was fine, as was the service. We came in last night for a drink and thought the menu looked really good. Today, for lunch, we started with a Blueberry Mule and Bricktown New Fashioned. Both are really good. We got the Dipping Trio to star and wow - it's really good and the chips are thick and seem fresh - they hold up well for dipping and would probably be amazing for nachos. For lunch we shared the Pepperoni Pizza and it was amazing. Probably one of the best pizzas I've had. I would definitely come back here for lunch, dinner, and/or drinks. We came back for dinner later that night. And we weren't disappointed. Hunter and Brooke were so awesome. They were a good time and the drinks were so good!!! Went to try to break down brewery on rangeline road in Joplin Missouri. The service was pretty good easy seating for someone in a wheelchair. Appetizer was delicious burgers not so much. We ordered our burgers medium rare they came out over well done. The funny part was the waitress even asked it how we like them. Being that they were so overcooked they were extremely dry we ate about a quarter of them. I informed the waitress of this she asked if we wanted a new burger but that was at the end of the meal when we were leaving and paying the bill which was really disappointing as the burgers or why we went there. In town for a college baseball tournament and we were looking for a good family place for dinner, despite only two of us. We checked in on a Saturday night at 6:00pm. Needless to say it was an 1:15 waiting list. But there was room at the bar. We grabbed a couple of drinks and called us up in about 40 mins. We were pleasantly surprised it was not new but the business knows how to clean and the restrooms are spotless. The server was wonderful and suggested items and knew the menu.
