Food was pretty darn good, especially considering the place was packed to the point where it was utter chaos! I ordered the BLT and fries, and the sandwich was surprisingly tasty. It was somewhat difficult to converse with my dining mates, mostly because there were so many people there. EVERY table was filled to capacity! I have to hand it to the waitstaff for keeping their wits about them in the middle of this mayhem. This cafe has a lot of positives. A large open space in a historic building is always a great start for us! It has a nice ambiance. We were quickly seated and offered coffee. Yes please! The menu is large but not overwhelming. It has all of the classic breakfast items as well as a few specialty items including an homage to the original Dons Cinnamon Roll. I went with an omelette. It was full of delicious ingredients including feta cheese and peppers. My wheat toast , ordered dry was spot on. If you like potatoes try the cheese potato casserole. It was very good in my opinion. It has the nostalgia feeling of a casserole that I grew up with. The service was friendly enough and kept the coffee flowing the entire meal. The prices are fair for what you get. The breakfast tacos are really good and filling. Love that you can sub sweet potatoes for regular potatoes. The bacon appetizer is something we order every visit. Stopped by Rosie's Cage on a Saturday morning and it was packed with a line out the door, but don't let that scare you--the line moved quickly, and it was well worth the wait. Our server, Heidi, was fantastic--attentive, friendly, and kept everything moving smoothly despite the crowd. The coffee hit the spot, and every dish we tried was excellent. The standout for me was the locally baked sourdough bread--so fresh and flavorful that I'm already planning a return visit just to try their club sandwich on rye, which is also locally sourced. The red velvet waffle was another highlight: fluffy, rich, and topped with a cream cheese drizzle that elevated it perfectly. The Supreme plate offered a generous portion, and even the kids' meal came with plenty of food, which is always a win. Came in to celebrate an anniversary and we received some really nice service. The booth seating area is too close to other patrons and I couldn't get a good sense of privacy or quality conversation without having the feel of everyone listening in and it was quite loud. The avocado on top of the California Bowl was thawed out and could taste mushy and not a good taste. The color was there but it was not what I was expecting. The coffee was hot and good. The plain bagel with egg cheese and bacon was quite delicious. I like that they have added privacy from the waiting entrance, very well designed and installed and it looks polished! If only we could have more privacy in the long communal booths that would chafe things quite a bit! Thank you Rosie's for a nice experience and thank you for such a cool interior. read more

BRING YOUR EARPLUGS!! Four stars only because of the incredible clamor. Restaurant is clean, tables well spaced so you have elbow room. But Every. Single. Surface. is hard so noise bounces off. Looking for late breakfast after a Saturday morning activity in the area, we chose Rosie's because posted menu listed full meals, not just sweet snacks. The place was packed, as noisy as a sports bar watching the end of a tight championship game. If you want relaxing conversation, this is not the place. There was a line for tables, but it moved fast Menu has a good range of large and small items, with choices for different tastes and dietary needs. Servers were clearly hustling to keep up, still managed to be both efficient and friendly. Despite the clangor and rush our server willingly answered my questions about some items and suggested a substitute item to make a dish work for me. I was concerned the kitchen might not get my change right in the rush - they DID get it right, and I was grateful to enjoy my tasty omelet without worrying about an unwelcome reaction. FOOD My Southwest omelet was flavorful after I scraped off the odd crema drizzle. The cayenne crema had a starchy consistency and floury taste with very little cayenne flavor. I realize some people might think this is good; I like spicy. Coffee - there was plenty of it, but decaf was meh flavor. There *is* good decaf, just rarely at restaurants. (why is that?) During our stay I also noticed servers helping other diners with little extras, e.g., re-orienting a table setting to make a better path for someone's walker, offering to replace a disliked drink with a different one. read more

Today i had the pleasure of trying out this new restaurant for breakfast. The atmosphere is upbeat and the service is fast, friendly and pleasing. The food came out with good temperatures. I ordered the meat lovers scramble with a side of sausage gravy. The eggs were very delicious along with the meats. I did not like the sausage gravy. It reminded me of paper mache paste with about the same flavor as it smells. No sausage flavor. The toast was kinda chewy but flavor was fresh. I do wish there was an option of home fries instead of the shredded hash browns. I will be back though. read more

Came here on opening day. The food was amazing. We had the Churro Fries, meat lovers Scramble, Golden Eye, and Maple Roots burrito. I could have eaten my weight in the Churro Fries. Crunchy outside with doughy inside. I loved the creativity of the menu. The staff are in edible friendly and prompt. The restaurant has a great diner vibe to it. You can eat in or they do have grab and go options as well. Definitely going to become our regular breakfast stop. read more

Been there now twice for breakfast (once was opening day). Both times the food was excellent and service very good. Despite being packed for our second visit, we didn't have to wait too long for a table. Judy was a great waitperson. Inside it has a nice open feeling with plenty of space. I was glad to see that they chose the more open layout than a "pick them in" approach. The churro fries and the "reserved" bacon were great appetizers. This place is a hidden gem we found driving through on a road trip. Great size dining room and a counter seats too. The service was so quick and friendly. The food was top notch that I hope to be in the area again to try more of the menu. 10am on a Sunday and the place was packed , but the staff was so quick and efficient that no one waited long for a table or the food once they ordered. We were so excited to hear that a new breakfast and lunch place was opening in our town! Every time we drive by there is always a line out the door, so we knew that it had to be good! First thing that caught our eye was the decor, kind of 70s but with a whimsical spin, I absolutely adore it! When we walked in, there wasn't a single table empty, so that made the wait that much more worth it! When seated, we were greeted by a very pleasant waitress, she was so nice and very helpful. We started with one of their specialty coffees and a drip coffee, then split one of their special cinnamon rolls (YUM!). For breakfast, I had "the gravy train" which is a large flaky delicious biscuit, topped with sausage gravy, and two eggs your way. I can confidently say that this biscuit and gravy are the best that I've had in Michigan! My husband had the supreme breakfast with a side of pancakes, he loved his so much, he didn't share. I cannot wait to stop back by Rosie's and bring others with us! The #1 breakfast place in Tecumseh (and dare I say greater Ann Arbor/Toledo area??)
