Yum! This place has some yummy food, that I had been dying to try! We came in on a cold slow Tuesday later afternoon around 3pm. There were about 3 people sitting at the bar, and a two top table in the dining room, and a mother with three children whom sat herself and had to be attended to. They had a beautiful fire place dead center, and a warm fire blazing. We were sat beside the fire and it was so warm and cozy, providing a wonderful ambiance and atmosphere. It took a minute for the host/ server/bar tender to come over, after seating us. Then it took a few minutes for our drinks (on the weaker side) to come, and another several minutes to get to order our food. I figured she just must have been busy, as she was the only one on at the time. However, as the place emptied out, the service didn't get quicker. In fact it almost got slower.. We started with an app, which was delicious and came with two homemade sides, that were also to die for. Their homemade ranch... omg, chefs kiss! I then got a spicy chicken sandwich with a homemade coleslaw and crispy fried onions! Along with a side of ranch! My sister got a regular fried chicken sandwich, and that was also very very good! We came in around 3 on a slow day, during the office season, so it was nice and easy. Its location in prime real-estate during the summer months, being in Ogunquit Maine. The scenery is nice, even being off of route one. They have a small parking lot for customers only, easy handicap accessible access, and extra parking in of Glenn street it seems. Everything about this visit was five star... except the service, and the weak drinks ! Not only was it quite slow for a slow day with little people, even as the only person on...they seemed almost annoyed that we showed up. Other than that, this place hit the spot! Delicious food! Decent location!

I first stumbled on Brickyard Hollow Brewery through Instagram and immediately sent a post to my sister-in-law, joking that I had to try blueberry pizza with beer someday. Fast forward to my weekend trip from Indiana to New England, and she surprised me by taking me there! Such a fun and unique spot--the blueberry pizza was as delicious as it was unexpected, and the beer paired perfectly. A great mix of local flavor and creativity, definitely worth the visit.

Pretty mid experience here. Came in on summer evening around 630 and was seated right away which was great, and service to get water and the menus was fast. It didn't take too long to place our orders either. The food, unfortunately, was pretty mediocre. I got the teriyaki tofu bowl which was 70% rice and the veggies and tofu present were pretty greasy. My friend got the fried chicken sandwich recommended by the waitress and couldn't eat it, it was so dry and burnt tasting. She ended up ordering the spinach tomato goat cheese pizza instead which was fine, but nothing to write home about. Generally felt overpriced. Ability to order drinks in 5oz portions was nice.

I came here on a Saturday night before an event with a group of 4. I made reservations the day before, and had no problem. I really liked how the menu here was much more robust than a typical brewery's menu. There is something here for everyone. The food was also really great. I ordered a salmon power bowl. The portion was moderate but I didn't leave hungry. I also want to note that our waitress was excellent. She was super friendly and checked in on us multiple times while we were there. I'd definitely recommend this spot to others.

Great spot for pizza and pub food. Got the burger and it was really good. They have a large indoors with lots of tables and a big bar. Their beer is decent but they also have cocktails and wine too. Service was friendly and fast. I would come back!

Excellent pizza with super fun flavors and combinations. The bbq was probably our favorite. And the blue pizza was unique but it's hard to get past the dry ricotta. Service was nice and very helpful. Ambiance was like a tavern, they even had a cozy feel with the fire place.

Pleasantly surprised with quick service and a great lunch! When we showed up it wasn't too busy, but quickly filled up afterwards. Today we enjoyed the soft pretzels appetizer with beer cheese (big enough for 3-4 ppl to share easily) , for lunch we had the harvest Maine salad with a delicious house vinaigrette, meatball app served with fresh basil and shaved Parmesan and the buffalo chicken sandwich! Sit outside to enjoy the beautiful Maine summer weather! Highly recommend!!

Solid meal! Overall the pretzels are my favorite but everything was good. Pizza was not the best I've ever had but it's definitely good enough I'll be back. Service was great and free parking is a plus in this area.

Stopped by on our way back from Bar Harbor! It was relatively good pub food. The service needs a little work but pretty good overall!

Double smash burger, cheddar cheese, double bacon, double pulled pork, double pork belly. Basically, heaven on a dish.

We went here on a Saturday afternoon, it was quiet inside but the outdoor section had some big groups. Great peaceful ambiance inside and beautiful pictures of Oqunquit throughout the interior. Kind servers, delicious food. I ordered the BYO burger with loads of meat added (double bacon, double pulled pork, double pour belly) and it was absolutely delicious. I ended up getting a 2nd order, actually, because it was so good (see pic). Im on a animal-based diet at the moment which is why I didnt get a bun or other toppings or a side. Although, the 2 others I was with had 2 bowl dishes that they absolutely loved. Perfect sized portions and all fresh ingredients. Will be returning again for sure

Batson River is the latter, and we loved our lunch outing in one of the adorable seasonal outdoor ice fishing sheds. We chose a few "handhelds," including the blackened haddock tacos and fried haddock sandwich, both of which are served with a red cabbage slaw. I enjoyed the tacos - the ratio of fish to slaw and aioli, etc. was just right. And the sandwiches are served with a generous amount of crispy French fries. On a weekday in March, many of the local shops and restaurants were closed. It was an unseasonably warm day, and we were happy to stumble upon Batson River for a fun and memorable lunch!

Their reservation system sends you a text when they put your name on the list, and from the link they send you, you can also check your position on the list. They text you when your table is ready. When we arrived with our dog to check in, we were given a couple of seating options in the outside heated deck area. We chose seats looking outside, which were topped with fur warmers, which made them comfortable to sit on. There are plenty of heaters on, which made it nice and cozy. Also, the plethora of Christmas decorations inside and out, made it also feel cozy, and festive. For lunch, I had the blackened fish tacos, which comes with mango pico, red cabbage slaw, chipotle aioli, cotija, on corn tortillas. They were super flavorful, and delicious. I stuck with fries, and they even had sour cream for dipping them. We will absolutely be back to try more of the menu!

Had no idea all three were located here, pleasant surprise. I enjoy Allagash white so we decided to stop in. The campus is a good size with gigantic tanks no doubt filled with liquid gold! Outdoor seating area with fire pits for warmer weather enjoyment. Entrance had a woodsy feel to it with signage that was clear to read. In the courtyard you choose which way to go; right heads into the outside beer garden and left brings you inside the brewery and gift shop. Beer garden for us. Seeing that it was covered by a tent thought for sure it was going to be cold inside , we were pleasantly surprised! Decor was paper chains and tissue paper hearts for Valentine's season. They had a creative station for folks to make their own Valentines. Also in the same area was a game bookshelf filled with board and card games to play. At the bar was a young man smiling as he welcomed us. We read the menu and for something different I chose "Cabin Weekend" the name reminded me of our camp in the Western mountains. We both enjoy whiskey so thought the aged barrels used for this brew would make a tasty treat. Grabbed our beers and then over to the food truck attached to the tent, clever. Bite into Maine is the food truck here today, unsure if different trucks come here or not. We wanted something small and shareable. Mac and cheese it was. We sat down at one of the many empty tables and began to enjoy our beers and food. Cabin weekend was so delicious! It was a strong onto 8.9%! Tasty with the faintest hint of whiskey and a cabin feel for the finish. The Mac and cheese was dense and rich!! The fork could practically stand upon its own! It was good in my opinion however don't think I could have finished the portion in my own. We enjoyed so much we will be back for some to bring away with us to our cabin in the woods.

Several more visits since my last review…read more Some things haven't changed: -- The beers are still great. Swish, Here's to Feeling Good All the Time, Nothing Gold, and Reciprocal are a formidable foursome. At any given time, you can usually get at least two, more often three, sometimes all four. -- You'd be hard pressed (pun intended) to find a better smashburger in Portland, but I'd also put it up against any regularly-offered burger I've had in Portland--smashed or otherwise. I love everything about it, from the high caliber of the beef to the fresh pillowy milk bun to the exhilaratingly strong cure of the bacon to the razor-thin cutting of the vegetables to the execution that gets even a smashburger burger juicy. -- I'm still not crazy about the wings. They have a frozen dinner feel to them. A few things, though, have changed: -- Full service now instead of having to order everything at the bar. That's a plus. -- The place is much more crowded-- including screaming tykes-- on the weekends. Not a plus, but can't fault a place for its own popularity. -- The fries are now the industrial strength coated kind. A big minus and a sad drop off from prior greatness, but better that than from an item off the main cast. -- You can now order beer cans to go from the table rather than having to get in line. A nice convenience. A few things to know: -- It's a surprisingly good option for vegetarians and pescatarians. The veggie burger and the grilled fish sandwich are both much more than solid. -- There's outdoor seating in front of the building and also to the right. -- The bar room to the right of the entrance is adults only, so if those screaming tykes get on your nerves, this is the place to be. -- You can still order beer at the bar if that's your preference over table service. Still a favorite, and the combo of beer, food, and space is tough to beat (Mast Landing and Maine Beer in Freeport are also somewhere in that echelon).

As an IPA fan I enjoyed this new version very much for its hop saturated citrusy forward taste that drank quite smooth for the 9.5%. At this point now Bissell is broken into two separate parts. The first will be the space welcoming to families and is more of their restaurant style area. Appeared to be a popular area and does offer reservations. My preferred area is the Bissell Garden as they call it. Those entering need to be of drinking age and have more lounge vibes where you order at the bar. It still offers full kitchen menu so is perfect. Particularly my favorite is snagging bar stools to grab some beers and food. I had to try out the Super Swish while my wife grabbed their red ale named Turnpike. Then food wise we split their kitchen special Classic Poutine. Some of the best classic kept simple poutine I have had. The perfect comfort food for yet another cold weather day in Maine. Have been impressed by all the food from Bissell. Truly the only negative still stands being the fact it's on Thompson's Point and required paid parking (not Bissell Brothers call but still). One of the most popular Maine breweries for a reason especially in the IPA game. Give all their other style of beers a try too though, top notch brewery!
