The hubby and made reservations at this very nice Italian restaurant. We were very pleased right from the start. The staff was very professional, friendly and knowledgeable. The prices were very reasonable. The food was fresh and very delicious!!! I've found my forever authentic Italian restaurant. The place was classy and modern. Spacious and well designed. Service was excellent. We will definitely be coming back on a regular monthly basis.

Came with my dad on a Saturday night and they were PACKED. Host station was efficient and we were seated within a few minutes. Service was friendly and attentive (multiple people offered us Parmesan and pepper). Food was just good, not great. For apps we got the mushrooms stuffed with crab meat (Dad said it was good but filling) and I had the bruschetta "classic" board which was 5 big pieces - an app to share for sure. Tasted good but it was like the Parmesan wasn't salted (maybe it was really Romano?!?) so it lacked something. For entrees Dad got the Scalapini Angelini with veal which he said was good. I got the homemade cacio e pepe which was just okay. The dish was unsalted (including the pasta which didn't seem to be cooked in salted water) but I asked for some salt and that helped a lot. Without it there just wasn't much flavor to it. The place was hopping and is clearly popular. My dad has enjoyed it in the past, it was my first time.

Enjoyed our dinner last night at Angelina's and I'll give it 4 stars. Mallory our waitress was very nice. The food was good except they overcooked my steak. Started off with a meatball appetizer which was good but not great. They are giant size meatballs but for $18 they better be. My ceaser salad was good but not great. My wife's Alfredo with broccoli was good but not great and it was amazingly expensive at $32. My steak was over cooked. Every thing was just good not great. The place was packed but not sure I would go back.

A must-visit in Ogunquit--classic Italian done right. Cozy, welcoming & always delicious. FOOD Delicious, hearty & full of flavor. Big portions mean your money really goes a long way. The pasta and seafood dishes - always on point. SERVICE Warm, attentive staff - always happy to recommend a dish. AMBIANCE Charming & cozy with a classy vibe. Feels upscale without being stuffy. Perfect for a date night or special dinner with friends.

My previous review is included in the photos... My opinion has changed. 5 stars on food, service, and atmosphere. So why the rating with a one star review? We had a mix of families with two young children. With children we intentionally made our reservation for 4:30pm. Our waiter, who by his statements is one of the owners, was phenomenal (professional and kind); our backwaiter/server assistant was amazing and very kind and understanding to our children; however, the host, was incredibly rude. At the end of our meal my 2yo niece fell and hit her head. As any 2yo would do, she cried, loudly. Her father attempted to console her, but realized she was very upset and removed her from the restaurant. As he was exiting the restaurant the host/manager (David) made inappropriate comments regarding him needing to get her out immediately. When confronted regarding this, the host became argumentative and lied regarding the statements he made. He refused to take accountability for his actions or statements. I spent 20+ years in the tourism industry in a business that prided itself on excellent customer service. If any employee of mine spoke to customers like that in front of me, I would be livid. If you want a phenomenal meal, with a decent chance of horrendous customer service, then this is your place. I'm sure the restaurant will reply to this, as they seem to do frequently, and will offer some other variation of the truth. If you only want to cater to adults and couples only, then you might not want to operate a business in a family friendly tourism driven area. Reply to David: Not once during our meal did any staff approach our table regarding noise or complaints from other guests. We were in a side room with no other guests until the very end of our meal, when my niece fell. At this time there was one other family at one of the two tables. Additionally, the interaction between myself and the host occurred at the host stand, in a different area of the restaurant away from guests. As predicted, you have created a web of lies to support your host's inappropriate behavior. Your reply solidifies my experience, as well as many other reviewers' similar experiences with management. To the owners: David informed me he was just an employee, and not an owner. Why would you continue to employ this person, and why would you allow him to treat guests like this (in person and online)?

I'm in town visiting for a few days with my husband and we were recommended this place by the locals. I loved it, we had a great waitress, delicious drinks, and amazing food. The lobster pasta dish was fantastic. I think I might come back tomorrow, no shame

Angelina's in Ogunquit, Maine is a culinary destination that promises an exceptional dining experience, boasting exquisite Italian cuisine, a warm atmosphere, and outstanding service. A highlight of the menu is the Eggplant Tower, an expertly crafted dish featuring layers of lightly fried eggplant, fresh Maine tomatoes, rich mozzarella, olive oil, and a decadent Balsamic reduction. This culinary masterpiece could easily suffice as a substantial meal on its own. Bravo, David, on creating such a phenomenal dish! Time to write a new review for Angelina's. My wife and I have been back at least a half dozen times since our last review. Every time the meal has been excellent. In fact we went last night. My wife had the Rigatoni Bolognese and she raved about it. I had my favorite, pork chop parmigiana with pappardelle and puttanesca sauce. It did not disappoint. The sauce was one of the best, fresh and just the right taste. The portions are plentiful. We finished with carrot cake which also was great. I'd recommend a visit as this is one of the better Italian restaurants in the area.

While vacationing in Maine in October we stayed next door to this Italian restaurant and it was walking distance so we gave it a try. Although the front hostess kept us waiting almost 15 minutes before opening and was gold and rude, the server and food were above average. Maybe a bad day for the hostess, everyone is entitled to one.

This place is crazy busy and the parking is insane. They have kids work the lot valet parking cars and utilizing every square inch of space. There was a wait, despite having a reservation. Restaurant was very crowded inside as well. Dinner was good, and I would likely go back in the future, if in the area.

I want to thank you for an awesomely delicious dinner. My husband and I we're celebrating our 20th wedding anniversary. We have been together for 44 years. We loved the bruschetta with the caramelized shallots was to die for. Then the wedge salad and caesar salad were delicious. Then the Bolognese for my husband and the halibut special for me was the best. Our server David was 5 star and all the staff was great. We live local and come here several times a year

Once seated, it took quite a while to even receive water, though oddly our drinks arrived relatively quickly--the one bright spot of the evening. Honestly, those drinks were much needed given how long it took for the food to come out. Our meals took well over an hour, despite the restaurant not being particularly busy. When the food finally did arrive, it came out sporadically, with dishes served at different times rather than together. The quality was equally disappointing--the salad was warm (which should be a crime in itself), and the pasta was bland and lukewarm, as were the other dishes our family ordered. While this could have been written off as an off night, recent reviews suggest this has become a pattern. It's unfortunate to say, but this season does not seem to be their year. What made the experience even more frustrating was the lack of response from management. Staff were clearly aware of the delays, yet no one came to address the situation, offer an apology, or provide any form of compensation. There are plenty of great local spots to enjoy a nice evening out--I would strongly recommend exploring those instead. Do yourself a favor and keep driving past this place.

Onto the pizzas...it is a mixed review. The toppings were excellent, plentiful, and tasty. The crust was not my favorite but my dinner companion liked it. I prefer more of a Neapolitan style crust and I believe it would complement the toppings. The crust was denser and flatter than I would hope. For drinks, another mixed review. My dinner companion had a sangria and liked it. Today, it was just an ice tea for me. It did not taste like fresh brewed tea (at least in the last few days). It was bitter. Being a cold and wet day, we ordered coffee after our lunch. It was served with milk on the side, versus cream. In fairness, the person who served it was not a wait staff member. Holding the tray she was shaking to the point that I actually grabbed it from her before she spilled it - so it could just have been her inexperience. I may give this place another shot - it was decent, just a few things that could improve as the season goes on!

And I am a VERY patient person. We arrived at the bar area and got a seat immediately, which was surprising. The couple next to us, clearly had no food, but it took eternity to get drinks, they decided to leave. They got the check (and waited eternity) and asked for their card back. They left and then their bread, finally arrived. Not a good sign. There appeared to be one bartender who also served the table tops. This is way too big of an establishment to have one bartender, even for a slow Friday night. Not the worker's fault. Management is to blame. Where are the owners here?! My husband and I left after we finally got menus. And still.... We were at the BAR. SMH. We went next door to get pizza (still Roberto's), hoping this would be somewhat normal in terms of service. It was faster, BUT... What they don't tell you.... If you order a salad (yes, a SALAD), there's going to be a wait. Meaning, your pizza will come out BEFORE the salad. Why, you ask... they share the same kitchen as next door. ‍ There was a table of 4 -6 people that was there before us that waited 20 minutes over us to get their meals. It isn't the service nor the people working there... there is something seriously wrong with the management. If you go... set your expectations LOW. To the ground, low. The Margherita pizza.... I can make a better pizza with NAAN bread, tomatoes, fresh mozzarella, basil and my own sauce on the grill. No joke. Advice, DON'T. There are other Italian places that are far better than Roberto's.

First things first - parking is super easy, it's a free valet service (not obvious at first, as there is parking behind the restaurant, but you're greeted right away when you pull in). We walked through the bar area, over to the restaurant area (surprisingly the bar was quite full), and were able to choose a table by one of the two fireplaces. On the restaurant side, it feels very cozy, and homey, exactly where you want to spend a cold night, inside eating dinner. Our server was lovely, greeted us right away and provided menus. I started with a cosmo (they had flavored versions like strawberry, but I elected to go for the classic). For an appetizer, we started with the bacon wrapped scallops - the bacon was maple glazed, and wonderfully crispy, with the scallops cooked perfectly, and some micro-greens scattered on the plate - delicious. For entrees, my mom had the baked seafood stuffed haddock which came with a lobster sherry cream sauce, a massive pile of perfectly cooked green beans, and mashed potatoes (yum). I went with the duck special, which was absolutely delightful. It came with Brussels sprouts, and I subbed out the au gratin (I very strongly dislike sweet potatoes), for mashed potatoes. It was delicious. We were so full, we opted for dessert to go (chocolate cake), which was generously portioned, and decadently delicious. We really enjoyed the meal - this was a wonderful dinner to celebrate my mom's 80th birthday!
