Customer Service Experience at the Brident Dental and Orthodontist 7750 West Bellfort location. The office on Westheimer is closing their location; therefore, most of their clients are being transferred to other branches. I had an 11am appointment, and my files weren't transferred. The front desk administrator told me I would become a new patient at that location. While I was there waiting on verification from my insurance provider, another customer was waiting for her Orthodontist, which travel from site to site wasn't on hand; she asked for the office manager to come out to ask questions, the lady was so RUDE and didn't have any customer service experience. If you want to waste your time go ahead and schedule here. First, if you get lucky they'll reschedule you 5 times before you actually get seen and give you all sorts of excuses, "doctor is leaving early due to and emergency" "our system is down" etc. if you've made an appointment any time after 2 pm just go ahead and reschedule cause they will, or you'll get there and they'll tell you you won't be seen. Second, just cause you're there doesn't mean you will get seen, you will arrive on time for your appointment wait about 2 hours for the front desk to call you just to say you won't be seen or if you will be seen. Third, if you do get seen, they will do the minimum work, and make you do another appointment so they can actually do the work. There are so many issues with the staff in this location, it's amazing how they are still open if they never actually attend any patients. read more

I changed my dentist since my brother goes here and it's just convinient to have us both at the same dentist. The staff here are really helpful and they don't sugarcoat anything, which I really appreciate because I need the honest truth when it comes to my health. They conversate with you and make sure you feel comfortable since dentists aren't the most pleasurable place to be at. I would recommend not to come on Fridays or Saturdays since it does get busy, but the staff do let you know this beforehand. Best days to schedule would be Monday through Wednesday. When you initially call a specific location, you're directed to a call center. If you have the second number to this "specific location" NO ONE EVER ANSWERS THE PHONE, it's absolutely frustrating. There isn't even the option to leave a voicemail for them to call you back, the phone just hangs up. I used this location 6-8 months ago and found them very helpful, I even was offered a payment plan for the extra my dental insurance wouldn't cover Worked out great. I live now in Pearland instead of Houston and made the 30 minute drive because I thought that locations care was worth it. I recently made an appointment at 9:30 and wasn't in the chair until after 10:45. When I went up to reschedule the recep was very nice, but informed me there was a whole family booked ahead of me and that was the problem. Why? I was offered this time, why not look over your schedule and offer me another slot When it was just me and over 3 of them? I sat a little longer because she was so nice. After finally being in the chair, i was told I needed to the Ortho, which is fine I understand, but just for antibiotics? A whole different office and visit? Why couldn't the dentist just provide me that there is a wait for the other appointment, my tooth could be worse by then. My final complaint Was I was told to wait for a recep to go over a payment plan with me, I sat there in the chair for over 20 more minutes, long enough for me to complete a timed call from my husband. This place is a scam. It's a scam because they don't give you pricing up front. Let's back up. I received a beautifully highlighted estimate worksheet - the work for my crown was shown as $0 and I'd have to go elsewhere for the root canal. They really pushed the $1000 cleaning that first day. Yes, $1000 for a cleaning. I got my root canal and called back to make an appointment. The people at the front desk are very brusque and not very helpful. We set up the appointment. I walked in to get my crown and I'm suddenly facing a $1500 bill. WHAT?? You shouldn't blindside people with a huge bill. They called my som in for xrays at 10:40 still have not called my daughter. Someone wrote a fraudulent check with my account this week freezing my account and making me be behind on my bills and rent which made me go in my emergency funds to pay...this also caused my auto pay not to go through. I called to see if they can take both payments out at a later date. The agent tells me I never made any payments this whole year which is a lie. I asked her to look and see if it's more than one account and she says no with a attitude. She then starts say I can pay my balance off today because I have made no payments this year. I told her they take it out my account every month since February...she then proceeds to say no I haven't. She then says she can take a payment today. I guess she needs a hearing aid because the reason above that I stated is why I missed only this months payment. When I tried to call the office to see where my money been going no one answers. Totally uncaring unprofessional sorry place. I was scheduled over the phone to have a tooth pulled. I provided all the information necessary from the insurance information to the referral info as well. I informed the lady over the phone that I had an emergency Authorization number from my insurance company that allows me to be seen on emergency basis because i' i'm in extreme pain. They scheduled me for Friday at 2pm. At my first attempt for this emergency extraction, I arrived only to find out that the dentist that accepts my insurance only comes on Monday and Wednesday. So I have to reschedule for Monay at 12 noon. I arrive on Monday at 12 noon only to be told they are back logged with the morning patients so could I come back at 3pm. I couldn't so they rescheduled me for Wednesday at 10:45am. Why couldn't they give me a call to say they are back-logged so I wouldn't have to travel all the way there for nothing? Anyway, I arrive on Wednesday at 10:45am, this is my 3rd time there for what was supposed to be an emergency. So, I approach the front desk only to be told that the insurance booked me for the wrong address, but if I get the insurance company on the phone they will talk to them and still see me. Then they say, oh we didn't realize that you wanted a tooth pulled, we can't do that until July 31st because that's when the dentist who does that will be in. I was amazed and shocked to the core by this new news. This is my 3rd visit here and they are just now realizing what I am coming in for? Even though I told the receptionist on the phone on Friday and gave her the Emergency Authorization number over the phone. I re-iterated what I was there for the 1st time I went to the office, which was Friday, the second time I went to the office which was Monday and then again Wednesday when I arrived at their office, and they still didn't know what I was there for until after 2 conversations with my insurance company, and then she says, Oh, we can't do that until the 31st. 20 days from today? What? Why didn't they tell me that on the phone Friday? Why didn't they tell me that on Monday? The reason is, they don't pay attention to the patient talking to them in real time. They are so busy staring at the computer and not really listening to what the patient is saying. All they care about is getting your name in the system. To make matters even worse, the supervisor comes up to the desk and I explain to her that this is my 3rd visit and now you are telling me to come back in 20 days..I asked her why didn't they tell me this on the phone of Friday, or in person on Monday? The supervisor looks at the receptionist and asks her what happened. The receptionist starts talking with the supervisor in spanish, although she speaks English fluently. I was amazed that she did that so I couldn't know what her reply was. Then the supervisor has the nerve to say, "well if the patient doesn't inform us what they want then we can't tell them anything. I told her, that I told them at least 5 or 6 times what I needed. Then she got quiet because she knew they were wrong. And then she turned around and told me that, '"oh I don't accept referrals from the insurance company, it has to come from the primary dentist. News flash, they ARE the primary dentist. I told this lady, I have taken off work 3 times to get this tooth pulled and your company is treating me like you just don't give a care and you really want me to just get out. So I asked for the board of directors information and for her to put her name on the form so I can mention her in my report. She gives me a pre-printed list of numbers and writes her fist name only on the top of the form..Ruth! When I looked at the list, she highlighted the Customer Service number. I asked for the owner or board of directors information, she gives me customer service number and she writes her first name only on the paper. Ok! My recommendation is that this place should not be in business. Toothaches are what dentists are supposed to be about. But I can plainly see, from some of the other million negative ratings they are getting, that all they are trying to care about is cleaning teeth, and moving on to the next victim. I was on my way to my appointment, i called them to let them know I would be running 10 mins behind and they inform me that the doctor no longer takes my insurance after I had already took off work to make the appointment. No prior notice. I had general and ortho treatment here. Now I have to find a another place to go. Also, the Coordinator (guy) is snobby, He was standing there with nothing to do, I simply asked him if I could go to the back to use the restroom, he wouldn't even make eye contact or address me and told his receptionist to assist me. On top of that they're are so non chalaunt with concerns! I've had problem after problem with their organization, scheduling, and customer service since day one. I have insurance and was scheduled for an appointment on a Saturday, went in and they said that they couldn't verify my insurance because the insurance office was closed. They took my insurance information and scheduled me for another appointment 2 weeks from then after work. Called me the morning of my appt. and asked if I could come in early. I left work 2 hours early to get there and had to wait for 2 hours for them to call my insurance company and after they reached the insurance company, they tell me that the dentist that was there that day wasn't in my network so they couldn't see me. Scheduled me for another appt. in 3 days which happen to be a Saturday again. They called me on Friday evening to confirm that I was still coming in the next morning at 8. I confirmed and asked them was everything verified with the insurance company, and I was told yes they had the verification. I get there at 8 on Saturday and the receptionist informed me that she don't see the verification so she don't know what to enter into the computer. The wait was over an hour to be seen but everyone was friendly. I went in for the braces consultation but the front desk wasn't able to tell me what my out of pocket costs were after insurance. I'm actually still waiting to get the out of pocket cost for them and my appointment was last week. I was told to call back in 2 weeks to get the actual costs. ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE! I got my top braces put on March 26th of this year and haven't had a real appointment since. The first time I went, I was there for about 2 1/2 hours. I was rescheduled more than 3 times, and someone actually made my appointment and another patient there on MEMORIAL DAY. I finally went June 6th, and after having tops on for 4 month- no tightening, no cleaning, no bottom braces. Not to mention they didn't even bill my insurance! All they did on the 6th was change my wire and color! Not to mention they didn't even let my step-mother back with me while everyone else's parents could go. I understand COVID-19 is messing everyone up, but you have nurses (like my stepmom) who spends about 18 hours each day making sure babies are healthy and well. Completely ballistic!
