Terrible service, they set an appointment for me at 12:30pm and after some paperwork around 12:40 they tell me that I need to wait till 2:00pm since their lunch started at 1:00pm and ended at 2:00, and the procedure I need (xray and general check out) wouldn't be 20min. very disappointe about the service. read more

Made an appointment, came on time but they couldn't see us because 1/ We don't see you in our system (While I pulled up my phone and saw the appointment had been confirmed) 2/ Our X-ray machine is broken If their machine is broken they should have called the clients who need XRay service and let them know before they showed up. Terrible experience. Management of this location is awful. This is what I've experienced just this past 2 weeks with 3 total visits: 1) today my children were seen, one was given the sealant (no cavities) and the other was not (the one prone to cavities) - so I called after asking why - they told me one was "diagnosed" for it and the other was diagnosed for a special sealant the insurance did not include (between the teeth) whi b I refused so I asked why he wasn't at least given the regular sealant anyway for the top of the teeth and she kept saying he wasn't "diagnosed" for it. she couldn't tell me what the diagnosis was exactly --- and then hung up on me. 2) I went there for my own appt 10 days ago and they had no desk people there, so they couldn't process anyone and had to reschedule my appt. Some reason they didn't show up for work and thr staff didnt know if anyone would that day. 3) I went for next appt and the front desk told me I had an HMO plan (we have PPO) and would not accept my insurance, but they took my kids?! awful - they've gone so far downhill. i would be surprised if this place stays open! read more

Big warning- Murphy Crossing Dental Care is now Brident Dental Group. The orthodontist is new, the other ortho staff are new, the front office staff is new, etc. Even the dental tech staff are mostly new. We never had issues with any of the old staff and I can't say the same with all the new staff. We've been here twice since everything changed and both times were not good. The 1st time since the staff changed we had an ortho appointment and they were running one hour and 15 minutes late. I understand emergencies happen but once we got back there we saw someone then waited another 25 minutes for treatment. Also the new ortho doesn't seem to have the same patient concern. He came in & literally looked at my child for 30 seconds. The second time we visited, after the switch, I all of a sudden had gingivitis & required a $300 treatment not covered by insurance. I've never had a dentist say that. They also said cleanings now need to be done every 3 months. The last time my teeth were cleaned they (the old staff) commented how clean they were...now it's like Monarch Dental where you need a pricey out of pocket tewatke read more

I've been taking my child to Brident Dental for a few years for cleanings. There usually isn't a long wait and since Covid 19, they have safety precautions in place throughout the location. They always check insurance and if anything has changed from the last visit. The staff is always friendly and helpful. If anything needs to be relayed to the parents regarding the child's care or payment, the information is given before additional care is given. My wife had an orthodontist appointment here, a first time visit. She walks in, tells them she has a broken retainer that needs to be fixed and the receptionist asks her to fill out some forms. My wife fills out the forms, gives them back to the receptionist and is then told that she has to get Invisalign before she can get her retainer fixed. The braces phase is over, her teeth are straight. Why is this office recommending unnecessary treatments when all she needed was a fixed retainer? A sketchy waste of time. read more

I went in for two upper wisdom teeth extraction. the doctor was awesome (Dr. Patel) I never even felt the numbing needle go in. I forgot to mention how much I hate needles!!!! Also, he was done in literally 10-15 minutes with taking my impacted wisdoms out. I got scheduled on a payment plan and was on my way. My mouth feels so much better now it's amazing no more pain!!! also thanks to Jennifer a receptionist who helped me get my payment plan set up you guys rock 10/10 highly recommend this dentist office to anyone in need of dental work!! read more

My daughter is 11 and she normally has no fears going to the dentist. This was our first time going to this dentist and she was in tears when we left. She said the dentists were extremely rough with her and she said her mouth hurt and her gums were "throbbing" when we left. She couldn't eat for 2 hours and I had to give her Motrin. All she had was a standard cleaning and exam! She also said the tools smelled terrible like they hadn't been cleaned and that she had to hold her breath throughout the exam because of the smell. I also was not comfortable with the fact that I was not allowed to accompany either of my children to the back where they were examined and cleaned and I did not get to speak to the dentist or anyone about the results of the exam! The receptionist handed me a result sheet to sign and that was it. Will not be returning! read more

My 12 year old and 5 year old come here for their regular cleanings and it's always a pleasant experience. Elizabeth was our hygienist and she was absolutely amazing. Super patient with my kids and explained every step as she was doing it. I will request her every time we come in. She is the best. read more

I am more than satisfied with my visit with Brident Dental today. I had a HORRIBLE experience with Aspen Dental and came here after not receiving the quality of care and customer service needed from Aspen. I LOVED how everything was explained to me in detail every step of the way, and how attentive all of the staff were. Dr. Al was great, and I loved that he was the one that actually did my exam himself and didn't rely on notes from a dental hygienist. That really stood out to me. Ms. Claudia went above and beyond to help me understand everything about my treatment plan, and broke everything down for me in a way that would be affordable for me. I've got quite a bit of work to do so that is much appreciated. This is hands down, the best dental visit I've ever had. As someone who is hard to please, I'm VERY pleased. Third party scheduling department scheduled my 5 year old knowing I wanted cavities worked on but scheduled her for exam,X-rays, and cleaning only because they don't actually fix cavities on kids there. Yet, The on site staff was nice and professional. They cleaned everything thoroughly after each use. This review would have been 3 stars or less but I don't want to be unfair considering that everything else about the clinic was nice. They give a toy to the kids as they leave. I've been coming here for years. but today I experienced a horrible experience. My appointment was at 2. just for an exam. I got there at 1:30. To make sure paperwork was done AND TO VERIFY MY INSURANCE. I didn't get in the chair til 4. People were nice and everything but so damn slow. the lady up front, Jessica, seem frantic and kept jumping from one thing to another. I would give them zero stars after my experience today. I called to follow up on them getting a medical release form (that makes no sense to me for I've been going here for 8years) so they can do a deep cleaning (which I am not approving of because my insurance won't cover it) only to be told that a deep cleaning is required before I can resume my regular cleanings. Whatever happened to it's the patient's choice!? I can't afford the price of deep cleaning (I've had them done before twice at another dentist office and once here) and they aren't effective. How dare they hold my regular cleanings hostage because they want to milk more money out of their loyal patients!! I will be reporting this to the American Dental Association and I will be removing myself and my family from this practice and hopefully find a better one that'll let the patients choose what's best for their health... read more

I hate going to the dentist but one of my back teeth started hurting really bad and I had to go to a dentist. Brident was recommended to me by a friend so I went. The girl in the front , Lorely , was really nice when I walked in and she helped me fill out paper work. Even offered water and a mask in case I wanted one. The doctors were also nice and very good. Friendly staff but the worse teeth cleaning I've ever experienced. Arrived 5 min before my appointment but was called back 1.5 hours later. Dr Yu did a half a** job on my teeth. He spent literally under 10 minutes "cleaning" and only flossed 1 side of my teeth. Did he not learn to floss in dental school? Dr Yu is not thorough at all. And even though I brought my x-rays that are less than a year old, I still had did to get them retaken and paid for out of pocket. Worst money ever spent. Do not recommend this place! Just left from there and was very disappointed. The call agency linked to them said they accept Medicaid, took my medicaid card information and birthday. Told me I had a spot available for a 2:30 appointment. Because my mouth is swollen due to an abscess, I called out of work and had my son stay home since no one can pick him up from school at 2:45 while I'm at the dentist and also due to them not having an early spot for an appointment. Once I got there and gave them my I.D. and medicaid card, as I'm filling out the new patient form, they called me to the front desk to decline my visit. Unfortunately they don't accept Medicaid for adults. No compensation for my time being wasted. Told me the agency knows nothing about their business. No apologies. Nothing. I'm sure I'm not the only person this happened to. At least have a list of dental offices that take Medicaid to provide for those people who were misled. This location is in Plano, Texas. read more

Do not go there!! I visited them for the first time this morning with the expectation to have my 6 month cleaning. I was there for 3 hours and was told that it is their requirement to take a complete set of x-rays for my teeth. There were some 30 plus x-rays taken because most the x-rays had to be taken 3 times on the same spot. I had to ask for a neck protective collar after they started taking pictures aiming at my neck. I felt dizzy after the procedure. Sat at the examination room waiting for the doctor to come for another 30 minutes and ultimately was told that the doctors were too busy and could not get to me. Asked me if it is okay to give me a refund for the exam. I did not get the examination nor had my teeth cleaned which I found out later that the pricing they quoted in the beginning of visit me did not include the cleaning part. I have been going to South Texas Dental since moving to Plano in 2014. I have never had any issues and have had great service up until this year. I started this process of getting a crown earlier in the year and it's been a nightmare. I already paid for the crown but it was determined later I need a root canal. I've made 3 blank trips to the office on my scheduled appt day only to have staff tell me I couldn't get my planned service done because of not having the necessary equipment, even despite me calling ahead to make sure. Now my root canal has been postponed because the specialist is not available when I was just at the office and was told I was going to see a specialist. My tooth hurts and is sensitive. I'm getting married in less than 3 months and there's no end in sight for this nightmare. I have taken off from work for some of these spothat have not happened. I was told the district manager would give me a call. I am still waiting for that call. I really want my money back but I'd have to start all over and I'm still wearing a temporary crown. I will not be coming back to South Texas Dental after my procedure. read more

Brought my father in to have the dentist look at a triple infection. Our appointment was on a Friday at 3:30 pm and we arrived 15 mins early. We were finally called into the room at 4:30pm. We waited for the dentist for 45 minutes before he came into the room. Spent 5 mins examining the patient, gave us no antibiotics, prescribed pain meds, told us he would contact his doctor for medical clearance and schedule us the following week for extractions. I called the office Tuesday at 8:30 am to inquire about his appt status only to be cut off several times and told "the dr hasn't responded". It had been 4 days since his triple infection and my father was in severe pain. After several calls between the two offices and miscommunication errors on the dentist office, I had to personally do the legwork to contact the doctor office. I finally received a call Tuesday at 3pm and was told by the dentist office to go ahead and have my father stop his blood thinners for his Oral surgery scheduled this morning. I received voicemail at 5:30pm yesterday stating they did not in fact receive medical clearance and we would need to cancel. The total initial consult time was 2.5 hours and $100. Stay away from this place unless you have HOURS to spare and don't mind being dismissed and misquoted!!!! So unhappy with this place! read more

If I could give this place no stars I would. I waited an hour and a half and never got a cleaning. I finally just got up and walked out. I sat in the waiting room for an hour before being called back. Had xrays taken and then sat in the dental chair for the next half hour. No one came to check on me or tell me what was going on. Dr. Dahl is amazing. The staff, however, is the worst!!!!!!!!! I drive from out of town (2 hours) to see Dr. Dahl and when I scheduled my appointment I was assured Dr. Dahl would be in the office the Saturday I was going into town. When I received a phone call to confirm my appointment (Thursday - 2 days before my appointment), I again received confirmation that Dr. Dahl would be in the office. Then I get another phone call the Saturday of my appointment letting me know Dr. Dahl was not in the office and had never been scheduled to work that Saturday. I had already driven the 2 hours!!! Just had a molar removed yesterday. I had let it go after losing a filling because I couldn't afford to get it fixed. stupid me. I should have called. It had already had 2 root canals at another dentist years ago but by the time South Texas Dental got to it was beginning to be infected. sigh. They did a great job. I'm following the dentist's follow up rules about care and healing well. Ice packs really help. Thanks South Texas Dental. btw.. you did a great job cleaning my teeth too. read more
