Ted showed up and helped up into the kayaks, gave some more instructions and we were off again! The Potomac was really calm and we took our time paddling back. It was a beautiful and peaceful trip back. Ted met us at the landing and drove us the two blocks back to the shop. Ted was super helpful, the trip was great. I highly recommend this to anyone looking for an easy going and beautiful trip!

Having brought it to the Harpers Ferry area to cycle through the area, a broken chain was depressing. We called 3 Points at 4:55PM, 5 minutes before they were scheduled to close and asked if they could help. We got a yes, and the guy in the shop (I never got his name) stayed to help us out. 3 Points got our bike back on the road. We were desperate to have the bike for the weekend and would have gladly paid a ransom to get it fixed. 3 Point charged us a fair and normal price for the new chain, installing it and testing the derailleur's to make sure they were not the cause nor damaged when the chain broke. In addition to staying late to help us out, 3 Points gave us a ton of local information about where to ride, trail access, wineries, local events and restaurants. We highly recommend this shop. If you are a local, I recommend supporting your local business. If you are from out of town and have any cycling related need, I suggest calling or heading straight to 3 Points.

And saw the "under" orientation of the toilet paper, which violates the original patent for toilet paper holders from 1891, where the paper clearly goes over the top. The "over" configuration: * prevents the roll from brushing the wall * makes it easier to grab with one hand * reduces accidental unrolling * and, most importantly, does not make decent people feel like they're living in a lawless society. What you have here is bathroom anarchy. I must admit that tile and brushed metal fixtures actually look really nice, which somehow makes the backward roll even more upsetting. It's like a beautifully plated meal served on the floor. Moreover, the ceiling contains approximately 400 judgmental eyes observing you while you attempt to live your life. The wallpaper on the ceiling (on the ceiling!!!) has a pattern based on the "evil eye" motif (sometimes called nazar), which shows up in Mediterranean and Middle Eastern design. Traditionally it's supposed to ward off bad luck or jealousy. All it does in this case is confirm the establishment has abandoned reason and at least one of the people who work has met a psychedelic mushroom. We got our bikes serviced recently and I was impressed by the way they called to discuss the cost of potential repairs before making them. Last, and most offensive - while on my ride, I had an issue where the bike chain cover kept coming loose and the pedal would get caught on it mid rotation causing me to stop suddenly. I completed the ride and when I returned the bike, I mentioned it to the owner Mr. Robert Esti. He indicated that I may have done something to the part as it did not start out like that. I explained that nothing happened and it seemed to be spontaneous. He was rude, dismissive and did not address my concerns. For such a large price tag for rentals, this was not a good value for the experience - combined with the rude demeanor of Mr Esti- I recommend not using this location or the new location in Herndon.
