Our 6 year old just had his first eye exam with Dr. Rebecca Phung today and she was amazing with him! He's usually anxious when it comes to seeing doctors but Dr. Rebecca made him feel really comfortable plus she was patient. Our pediatric eye exam lasted about 30 mins and at the end we were relieved to find out our kid doesn't need glasses! I came here about a month ago for the first time to get an updated eye prescription as my vision has been worsening over the years. Luckily, I was able to find Bright Vision Optometry on Yelp since there were so many good reviews. The process for getting a prescription was so easy and their office was able to answer all my questions prior to coming to my appointment. With Covid, they were precautious with sanitizing all high touch areas and would offer me to wash my hands at the sink or opt for hand sanitizer. I met with Dr. Hsu who was very nice and welcoming. She was easy to speak with and gave me her recommendations on what type of contacts would work best for me. She provided me with a free trial pack of contact lenses to test out for the week and a follow up visit to get my opinion on how I felt about the contacts. Her staff was very friendly and professional as well and assisted me with putting on and off my contact lenses. When my order of contacts were delayed, they provided me with extra contact lenses in addition to the contacts I had already purchased. I freakin love Dr. Hsu! She is just the sweetest and she isn't like other optometrists that get annoyed when you ask them can I see 1 again? She took her time in making sure that I could see, explained my prescription and retinal imaging. Staff was super polite, and I was floored when I told them I only wanted contacts and they did NOT get mad or continue to try to sell me on glasses. Not to mention they told me they would email me my eyeglass and contact prescription, which was impressive bc all other optometrists fight tooth and nail to not give that to you. The best optometry office I've ever been to! From the front office to the doctor... all suuuuper nice and amazing customer service! They are extremely careful with Covid precautions. Before your appointment, they have you fill out new patient paperwork online. Once you come in, they have a sign to have you wait outside on an X until someone calls you in (which was very prompt). The young man, (I wish I knew his name) was great and very personable. He took my temperature and took me back to wash my hands before doing the pre-testing. He wiped down all of the equipment in front of me. After the pre-testing, the doctor saw me promptly and started the exam. I saw Dr. SOONG. He was extremely thorough at explaining everything. I have never had any optometrist THIS thorough. He even explained two different eye surgeries and the difference between them, Lasik versus PRK. At the end of the exam, he gave me a sample to try of my current contacts but even ordered a new brand for me to try to see which one I liked more. Most importantly, my contacts are the perfect prescription. Not too strong and not too weak. Lastly, Joanna at the front desk was very sweet in checking me out. I made a comment how I liked the masks they were wearing and the young man who initially checked me in gave me two masks! Joanna sent me an email with my prescription, receipt and a price comparison of the two contact lenses I was interested in. I live in Eastvale and Chino Hills is a little bit of a drive but well worth it for the type of customer service they provide. The other optometrists I've been to are just ok. I don't like going to Costco or Target because I find it less personable. I've found my new optometry office! read more

Wow! I found this Optometry office because of the great reviews it had, therefore it only makes sense that I continue to rave about them. Both Dr. Sophie and Dr. Steven are very approachable and welcoming, which I'm sure is what drives their whole staff to be the same from the very moment you walk into the office. I went in for the first time to get a fitting for contact lenses and the whole process was thoroughly explained and simplified for me. I had burst my blood vessel in my left eye. It looked really bad I needed to get it looked at. My usual eye Dr. could not see me till June. Luckily I called this office, they saw me right away, and they are a state of the art facility. The Dr. was able to let me know my eye was healthy and would heal in 10 days. Dr. Soong was incredible, and delivered one of the most detailed visits to an optometrist I've ever had. Not only did he test my vision but explained my eye health as well as gave probationary contacts to test out for a week before I order for a year to ensure comfort and vision. And on top of that great service, Joanna was fantastic in helping us find frames for our glasses. She went out of her way to find frames that matched our ideal descriptions, but more than that, she went out of her way to get to know us as people. First time using Bright Vision Optometry for my eye care yesterday, 6/1 and my experience was fantastic from start to finish. Saw them on google, scheduled an appointment the same day since there is an available slot (had to choose them and cancelled appointment at the other clinic because of their good reviews). Dr. Steven delivered a very personable and great eye consultation approach. Been wearing glasses for 10+ yrs but I never had a thorough eye exam like what Bright Vision Optometry gave me. Jennie also gave me a very helpful recommendations during frame selection and NEVER rushed or insisted on suggesting an expensive frame. They are NOT other pushy clinics that I went to before. My glasses went a little above my budget, but its alright knowing it will be a good fit and it matches correctly with my current eye grade. Looking forward on getting my glasses soon and doing more business with them again. P.S. my husband was really impressed and he will definitely be getting his glasses from them too moving forward. Initially, I was researching YELP looking to switch to another Optometry carrying a better variety of premier designer brands for frames. BVO immediately stuck out because of their excellent reviews and then to my surprise once I called their office to inquire I was extremely happy to hear they DO carry specific designer brands that were unavailable at other optometries within the community. However, once I had my first visit not only was I satisfied with their designer brand selection, but I was exceptionally pleased at the level of service BVO provided. If I can give 10 stars I would! Dr Sophie Hsu always give extra effort to attend your needs. She never rush anything during appointment and make sure u understand clearly about the condition of your eyes. I had an medical exam to check out my retinal because I was having bury vision and weird blinking light on my right eye. Within minutes she can tell I am having a retinal hemorrhage and suggested I need to go to a retinal specialist asap for treatment. Not only she spent extra effort to email all the retinal images of my eye, she also email & print out a referral letter for me, so I do not need to explain the situation over & over again when I go to the hospital or specialist. Had an awesome experience being cared for by Dr Soong! I came in with some questions regarding blue light filters and he patiently explained it all to me without pressuring me to spring for them. In the end I decided to go for them since my job requires me to spend a lot of time in front of screens and I've noticed my eyes do feel less fatigued now. This place will charge you for any movement you make in their building and then claim your insurance doesn't cover it. My contact tore in my eye and they would not assist me with removing it unless I paid $150 for an "exam" and claimed my insurance wouldn't cover it even though they didn't accurately look up my insurance ... and when you order contacts or glasses they make it seem like you have to get all these expensive additions so that they can get as much $ from you as possible. I was very impressed by the excellent services provided by the professional staff at my first visit. Dr. Soong was very knowledgeable in his field even though he's only in practice for seven years. I could tell that he was very focused on his study in his medical school to prepare himself for his practice. I was referred him by my daughter, who also wanted to become an optometrist. She decided to switch to Dr. Soong as her doctor after gaining a lot of insights from her shadowing experience at his office. He explained everything I questioned about my eyes as well as how to better take good care of them. I got lots of information about my eyes that no doctors ever told me before. I am really impressed with the whole team at Bright Vision. The registration was a breeze. I love that they use technology where I can submit the health questionnaire electronically before coming in. It cut a lot of time with me filling out the form physically. Once I came for the appointment, I was met with very friendly staff members. This was my first time at Bright Vision Optometry. The office is very clean and modern. There was no staff due to the Safer-At-Home order for the COVID-19 situation, but Dr. Steven Soong was accommodating and made himself available to check on me. I was working out at home with resistance bands and the band slipped off which caused some trauma to my right eye. I reached out to Dr. Soong and described my symptoms to determine if I should go Urgent Care/ER. He suggested I come to the office for an exam to be sure the trauma wasn't too bad.
