I had my quick appointment with Dr Crum and was told my vision isn't as bad as I thought. My first time at an eye Dr, also for a specific reason (had debris in my eye causing irritation, as I work at a rock quarry) and Dr. Crum made the visit super comfortable and smooth. We have been coming here since I was 11 and I'm now 25. When it was crum optometry it was great service. When it became total visón and many new employees began working the customer service went down and the male in the back is unpleasant, unprofessional and always seems annoyed when you ask a question for your own bill. They charge you one thing and then you get insurance bills in the mail stating you were charged incorrectly. Dr crum and Lisa are always amazing and willing to help, everyone else has 0 customer service. They've lost my business starting today. read more

Dr Crum and Dr. Tran are the most knowledgeable and friendly Drs. you could ever meet. I was greeted by Denise and she took care of the pre exam. Very friendly and helpful. She used state of the art equipment and told me what each test was for. A+ Denise!! Dr. Chang came in and showed me the result of the eye exam. You can now see your optic nerve and any issues you have with your eyes. Amazing. Dr Chang really listened to my concerns and fitted me with the Multi- focal contact lens....Wow I can see near and far. They last for 1 month then you toss them. so light and thin, I can't even feel them in my eyes. If you live in the Chino hills area, you definitely need to try Dr. Crum. total Vision. The worst experience I have ever had! My 7 yr old son came for an eye exam and we had to wait for over an hour for Dr. Tan. When he came I can't believe the unprofessionalism! He was very rushed and the extent of his vocabulary was, "uh-huh, greeeaat...uh-huh greeeeat." No matter what letters right or wrong he said the same thing! Worst of all Dr. Tan was so rushed that he moved the eye instrument/phoropter (the big multi-lens you look through during the exam) and hit my sons head and didn't have the common decency to apoligize until I spoke up. I would put 5 stars for Lisa and the staff. She was great, apoligized and made a make-up appointment with Dr. Crum. I read great reviews with Dr. Crum and look forward to a better experience. read more

Denisse was my tech, she was very professional and had a great personality. Dr. Tran took care of our exams, he also was very professional and thorough even though my mom spoke only spanish. WOW!!! Steer clear! I've been coming here for several years! This year I came in for annual checkup and ended up getting fitted for glasses. They never told me that since they changed names or merged with another company they no longer accept my insurance. So they just gave me basic cheap lenses ( never told me) and they are heavy and distorted. They were also not transitional. After waiting more than 3 weeks I finally called to see if they are in, and the girl said oh yes they're here! Why didn't anyone call me? She says oh we were going to call today. Okay fine, I go to pick up and they fit fine but we're not transitional. So I have to wait another Week and a half and they said we will just swap lenses out. No! They give me a whole new pair which feels heavy , won't stay on my face and lenses are distorted! I call today and to complain and I'm informed oh yeah we don't take your insurance anymore but we can work some discounts to get you what you need. The girl takes two days to get back to me because now I'm no longer in their system... what the heck?! I've been going there for over 5+ years! So for an additional $574 on top of what I already paid they can fix them! WOW!!! Never will I ever go back! So I'm stuck with these Horrible glasses I can't wear or see through!!! Beware! If I could give 10 stars or more, I would. Our family has been going to Dr. Crum's office for the last 4 years now... since we moved here. We initially began seeing Dr. Crum, and in the recent year, we [5 family members] see both Dr. Jon Crum, and Dr. Marvin Chi. The experiences we have had over the last 4 years have been tremendously positive. We would recommend their Optometry Office to anyone... and they really have handled our entire family with such care, as if we were a part of their family. Everyone there has been amazing, and they always go over-the-top with how they treat their clients, from coming in, to leaving. Dr. Crum has such a vivacious, friendly personality, which makes it extremely easy to relate to kids, and Dr. Chi went above and beyond with us as well... in being so determined and patient with our eye care needs. Dr. Chi made some comments about the kids... and it was just a nice feeling knowing they have gotten to know our entire family over the time we've been here. Their office really gives meaning to what any office should anticipate in receiving for any type of care, but theirs... we will never forget. They seemed ok at first but the more issues I had the more condescending and unhelpful they became. I have terrible eye sight and there's only few places you can go to take care of this issue, like an eye doctor. It took 3 different people to finally adjust, just to adjust my eye glasses to a good fit on my face. They would tell me I was wearing my glasses wrong and one of them straight up said I don't know when I asked where the lenses for the "relax" frames transition. I was never able to properly see out of my lenses but after being told I just don't know what I'm saying in so many ways I just gave up on them. They over charged and in all my 25 years of wearing glasses I have never had a worse experience. I paid out of pocket and I heard them bad mouth many insured patrons when they walked out of the door many older individuals. I would go anywhere else. I came here for a second opinion because eyes have been getting progressively worse. I regret ever coming here and now that I am due for another check up I will go anywhere else but here. Dr. Yang was very knowledgable while thoroughly explaining any questions and concerns regarding my vision and made me feel very comfortable while doing so. They also carry a great selection of prescription eyewear and sunglasses to choose from, Maui Jim, Oakley, Tiffany & Co, RayBan as well as many other name brands. I chose a pair of Maui Jim StingRays since I was partially eligible for a new pair of frames & lenses from my insurance company. I had a little bit of extra money and decided to get a second pair of Maui Jim's in progressive lenses which I tried out earlier this evening and they really help out with the evening drives. Before seeing Dr. Crum, we usually go to Costco for a check up and glasses and contact lenses. I'm so glad that we found this place after the Costco optometrist can't find solutions for my blurred vision and claimed my vision just got worse over time. I am currently waiting at Costco for 30 minutes for a fax to go through. I called and spoke with a woman that said she would fax my families 3 prescriptions over she was nice until I told her I needed it sent to Costco because it's WAY cheaper with their current $70 off. Anyway, I waited 20 minutes then called to check the phone rang and eventually went to voicemail. I called back it rang twice and went to voicemail, I called again it rang once and went to voicemail this happened over and over which is a clear sign that my call was being forwarded. Call me old school but I still think customer service is ESSENTIAL for a good Yelp review and for returning customers. At the very least she could have said "I apologize we are busy I'll be a while" or answered the phone and asked that I hold. read more

I had been here a few years back, and they provided great service. This time was absolutely horrible. I was there the first time for 3 hours to get an exam, and pick glasses for my daughter and I. The next day I called to cancel my frames, because I wasn't completely satisfied for what I paid for the frames. They told me they undercharged me, and the only way to cancel was to pay the difference. I paid the difference, and they said that I could come in to pick a different frame or get reimbursed. I showed up the next week to pick up daughters frames, and I saw a Prada frame that I liked. I was told it would be like $80 more, and ended up going with that frame. The next day they call me to let me know that it was $150 more for that frame. So, I went ahead and paid, and at that moment they told me that my frames were already at the lab. It would only be 2 weeks. Well, I placed my order on the 24th of August and as of September 14th, they didn't have an update on my frames because they claim "they're coming from Italy". I've ordered those same frames from Macy's and got them in about a week. I have been in retail sales for over 15 years, and I like when people are straightforward rather than give me the runaround. I felt like they were just giving me the runaround in hopes that I would let them take their sweet time. I went straight to another optometrist in Rancho Cucamonga, and they were able to get them processed and ordered right away. I asked for a refund at Crum, and on top of the poor service, they couldn't refund my credit card, because they're "corporate owned"...but, they were quick to charge it with no problem at all. I live right up the street, but with this poor service and experience, I will not be coming back. I'll drive farther for better service read more

I have been seeing Dr. Crum since I was in the 3rd grade and now I'm 23...so what is that..15yrs!? He is a great optometrist and has a great sense of humor. I can also tell that he loves what he does and genuinely cares about your eyes. Dr. Crum is the bomb. Dr. Paul is pretty cool too. I've been seeing Dr. Crum for my eyeball needs for well over 8 years. They have always been helpful - all of the staff. About 5 years ago I fell asleep with my contacts on and got a cut super close to my cornea. I was in so much pain. I couldn't go to work, I couldn't sleep, I could barely walk. That sounds weird, i know, but it's true. So I go see my eye doc, Dr. Crum, and he definitely took care of me. I ended up having to go to his office every single day to make sure the cut didn't get too infected. He gave me some special eye drops and after some time, I was all better - minus the scar that barely corners my vision. Dr. Crum was great. His staff was very helpful and nice. I go on basis of review by previous customers prior to visiting an establishment. That said I say there was just one review that caught my eye, but that another day for discussion. Although I had lasik from LVI 4years ago I've noticed my vision at night is somewhat blurry. So I decided to start going to dr Crum. And explained my condition. Well will you look at that I'm not the only patient that complained about this. Staff especially Jackie and Joanne and dr Crum were awesome very professional.I ended up with a new pair of Maui Jim optometric clear lenses that should be arriving soon. The selection of eyewear is good. As long as they have Maui Jim I'm a happy camper. Prices are on the high end price....but you always gotta remember...you pay for what you get...sooo never compromise your health and opt for "cheap". I picked up another pair on Maui Jim shades too called CHEE HOOS to add to my Maui Jim collection. You got a repeat patient in the long run keep up the great service and customer service. Dr. Crum is great, but his staff are not. It has been more than a week and CVS pharmacy has not received any response inregards of my prescription, which was too expensive. CVS faxed Dr. Crum's office many times and requested a cheaper eye drop, but so far no response. I had to go to CVS and get an eye drop over the counter. EXPERIENCE I've been going to Dr. Crum and Dr. Paul for 10+ years now. Everyone is very friendly, accommodating and informative. Whenever I've bent my glasses out of shape, they are always more than happy to help me get fitted without any hassle. I've been helped with eye problems (like finding a scratch on my eye, to making sure I get the right kind of hard contacts to help with my recent issue of them popping out of place).
