My 05 Chrysler Crossfire flat out died on Rt 65 yesterday so I managed to get it off the road and into a parking lot and called AAA. It was HOT out, we broke a record, 94 freaking degrees! The last thing I wanted to do was wait hours for a tow truck. AAA said they would send someone from 'Brighton' and I thought 'Oh god, I can't wait to review these guys...' since I had seen other reviews. Well, less than an hour after I called- Sean shows up and is as friendly as could be. He analyzes the situation and decides on a plan of action. In maybe 5 minutes my car went from parking lot to bed of a flatbed with him being extra careful to secure it down. It has aluminum rims so he strapped it down in the back with those nylon/cloth straps & ratchets it down. I hop into the cab, air conditioner already on, cab cleaner than most of my friends' cars, aside from some extra dust, and away we go... I know customer service can vary by 180 degrees, and maybe I should just be rating Sean, but that's basically what I am doing. If I need another tow, I'm going to request him. The tow truck was blocking my driveway, when I asked them to move so I could get out of my driveway he told me I had to wait 5 minutes. This is a violation of the state law title 75 § 3353.2.i. The driver was so arrogant that I had to call the police and almost back my car into the tow truck before he reluctantly moved the tow truck. Choose a more respectable towing service. read more

I had a flat and couldn't get the car up high enough to put on the spare so I called AAA and Brighton was the local company dispatched to help. I had a 90 min time zone. While I waited one of Brighton's employees Sean walks up and offers to help, on his day off. He just happened to drive by and see me. He was so nice to take the time to help. So I didn't have to wait for AAA. I hope the folks at Brighton know what a stand up guy they have on their team. read more

My car has electrical problems. Brighton Service Station manager Jeff said his mechanics couldn't fix it and gave a lame and shallow excuse and charged me $100 anyway. That is extortion because I couldn't get my car back without paying it. Jeff was rude when I called them on their excuse. As if the victim of extortion is to blame. We both know the real reason, don't we Jeff. read more

I called for a routine tow for a car that would not start. I was told there would be a driver at my home within an hour. An hour and a half later, I had to call AAA and was told that the previous call was cancelled and I was next in line. Two and a half hours later, dispatch could not get a hold of the driver NOR was the driver communicating with dispatch OR the field manager OR me...I have better things to do on a nice day than to sit by the phone. I've never been to this place but their drivers are dangerous. One of them came INCHES away from hitting my dog and I crossing the street, we were in the cross walk and the driver had a red light (that they must not have seen, considering their high speed). We had to jump out of the way so he didn't kill us. This happened on the busy part of North Avenue, close to the park and businesses, after dark. I can only imagine what would have happened if I had been wearing darker clothing or had a slower reaction time. I would not trust these people to tow my car and they shouldn't even be on the road. Brighton Service is a menace on the road. Coming off Camp Horn Rd and a flat bed driver tried to run me off the road...then slowed to almost a stop trying to get me to hit him. The car behind me almost hit me then the Brighton Service driver drove off in the other lane. They are dangerous drivers who feel they own the road. They speed up my street as a short cut to Rt 65 and more than one neighbor has had to run to get out of their way when crossing the road. Not sure why AAA would be affiliated with them. read more

If I could write negative stars I definitely would. I called triple A and they sent this company. Driver said van was to heavy and wanted to charge me an additional amount for tow weight!! Van was towed numerous times without a problem from other companies. I Told him to leave.I called triple A again & same company different driver. Said it was to heavy and he'd get another truck. I left for vacation thinking van was towed. I found out a week later, after getting back he never showed up. Called triple A and 1st driver showed up again and tried to do same thing ,said triple A won't tow it wanted more money!!I called triple A back & another company came and picked up without missing a beat!! Worst company I've ever dealt with!! Never Again!!!!!! The worst!! read more

3 years ago I called AAA about a battery issue. The Battery I had was a AAA battery and they sent out Brighton who is an authorized AAA tower and battery dealer to come check it out. They brought my van back to their shop and apparently the battery in my van is mounted in such a way that it is kind of a pain in the butt to test. I was able to locate the records for the battery being bought from AAA but they gave me a hard time anyway until I called AAA and finally they replaced my battery. I didnt think much of it bc it was a weird situation and in the end my car got the new battery and everything was fine. Fast forward to now, Brighton is at their new location on Mt Nebo but they are still just as difficult to deal with. I have once again had issues with my battery and since I purchased it through them before, my husband took it to them to have the battery tested and purchase a new one if need be. They told him it was too difficult to do this and basically turned him away. We took my van elsewhere and within 30 minutes they had my battery tested told us it was in fact the battery that was faulty and that they would have it replaced in an hour or 2. I don't know what the deal is. I wanted to give them my return business and a second chance but this is the second time Brighton gave us a hard time about replacing a battery. I will be contacting AAA to let them know that this is how they treat their AAA customers. I have never in my life had so much of a hassle with any other AAA authorized tow company or dealer. Literally I would have paid whatever it cost to repair my battery, I was like here is my car take my money and they were like sorry we dont feel like doing that. read more
