I can not rave about this establishment enough. I came in looking for my dream dress and to be honest the day I came had not started off good at all. Had the person that was supposed to go with me bail on me and other just drama in general. I went to another shop before here and they were nice enough but didn't listen to specific things that I needed one of them being my strict budget. The first shop I also left feeling really defeated and not feeling great about my image at all also. When I got to Brilliant Bridal from the second I walked in the door they were amazing. Paiton was an angel in all the help. She was very personable and actually cared about helping me get what I was needing in my dress and feel beautiful. She even put me in a dress twice just to confirm my love for it. She was extremely understanding that I was reluctant to say yes on that day as I had no one with me to validate what I was feeling and set me up with another appointment just a few days later when my moms could come with me. She made sure everything was good to go. On my second appointment I was blessed with Mickey who was equally as great as Paiton was and was super positive and knew the story from my first visit. I found the perfect dress for me. I didn't expect to find one on the first try out - so much so that I didn't have anyone with me! I had NO IDEA what I wanted or what would look good on me. I did know that I wanted something a little less than traditional. As a 40 year old woman getting married, I don't have to comply to the norms, and I didn't want to. As far as "silhouette" style, or any of the other 12 questions that other shops asked me when I called, I had no idea what any of them meant, so I really thought this was just going to be an educational experience for me. I'm the girl that hates trying things on. We all beat ourselves up over some part of our body, and I'm no exception. My stylist - Summer? - helped me find something that accentuated my assets and hid that part I hate . . . plus met the less than traditional request that I had. I actually cried when she got that last dress on me - one that she picked, not me - and it was just the right dress. She even made perfect alteration suggestions that I couldn't say no to. I can't wait for the alterations so that it fits (those clamps would be awkward at the wedding!) and for my family and more importantly my future husband to see my style shine in this perfect dress. I purchased a gown recently for my daughter from Anna at Brilliant Bridal. She was very helpful and gave us a lot of help and suggestions. With all the excitement of "Saying yes to the dress", I forgot to check in on yelp to get my 10% off my total purchase which would have been $145.00...I called the store right away the next day asking if they would honor the discount as the charge had not yet even been applied to my credit card. I was of course told there was no way this was possible. I feel we should have been offerred the 10% off at the time of purchase...We were even charged $25.00 for the dress bag. I visited Brilliant Bridal at the Mesa location recently with an appointment. I had made an appt for Saturday and last minute needed to change it to Friday. I called Friday morning and left a message, received a call back shortly after and they squeezed me in that same day. When I got there, I looked over the questionnaire I had filled out online and updated everything. My consultant Brandi (who is awesome) gave me 5 clothespins and had me go around with my family and pin 5 dresses I wanted to try on. I thought I knew what I wanted but quickly realized I had no idea just by looking at the bags. I picked 5- only about 2 that I somewhat liked. Brandi picked one of her choice and lone and behold... I will now be wearing it on my wedding day! The dress was a size 10 and huge on me but she was able to clip it to fit perfectly and created the low back look I wanted. Brandi was great! Not pushy, understood what my style was, answered every question I had. She knew all the little extra things to add- veil, jewelry, appliqué that help me envision the dress like it will be on my wedding day. I will be traveling out of state for my wedding and she provided me with all the traveling info and bag I needed for the dress, recommended seamstress for alterations and a timeline of when to do everything. I highly recommend Brilliant Bridal. My dress was originally $1.300 and I bought it for $895. No, it's not as fancy as some bridal shops but still very nice and clean and I saved hundreds of dollars on a dress I love. The girls working were much nicer than other places I had experienced. People who go in without an appointment and expect to get immediate service are crazy- that's why they say appointments are recommended. I found a dress really quickly and my apt was still an hour and a half from when I arrived until when I walked out with my dress. Cheers to Brilliant Bridal! I couldn't be happier! I was never one to obsess with what my wedding dress would look like until the day came when I would marry the man of my dreams. I had a lot of varied ideas and varied styles that I was in love with and it definitely had to have some sparkle and bling! Being a plus size bride gives little of that variety available, and unless you have a wealthy bank account, that dream dress can seem unattainable! My first experience with Brilliant Bridal was open-minded. I really didn't know what to expect and was hoping for something that was not outdated and financially obtainable. "I cant remember the name of who helped us, but she was amazing. Everyone there was so nice and didnt place any pressure on me to buy that day. We even went over my scheduled time and she didnt seem to mind. She anticipated what my needs were and what type of dress i would like. They helped me find my dress. With that said though i was torn between 2 dresses and bought one of them. They do not allow returns or exchanges and the next day i wished i would have gotten the other dress instead. Having at least a 24 hour exchange allowance would be nice considering brides get caught up in the moment. I ended up paying about 900 dollars to alter the dress to how i wanted it. WHICH IS COMPLETELY MY FAULT. they were clear about the policy and i went ahead any way. They were perfect. I was sooo excited to drop in and check out wedding dresses for the first time since getting engaged!! I came in two seconds behind another gal. We stood there for a few minutes before an older woman came out to ask if we needed help. I politely told her the other gal was there before me. I then hear her tell at least 2-3 other workers in the break room that 2 customers just walked in while she was in the restroom. I waited for 20 minutes while the older woman stepped off with the other patron. I could hear the other workers chatting in the break room and yet no one came out to assist me. I had to knock on their open break room door to get the younger female workers attention. I was so frustrated and disappointed that I decided at that point to take my money elsewhere. Poor customer service! Maybe consider hiring staff that won't just sit around chatting and that actually value their clientele. read more

I had ordered my dress from another shop and it came but was the wrong dress, I was panicked with only 2 weeks to go before the wedding. I was lucky enough to have Shea as my consultant at the PHX store, and when I hadn't found a dress yet, I made sure to make an appointment with her at her home store in Mesa. She hands down made the experience SO special. Actually, everyone with brilliant bridal was so genuinely kind. I didn't think I'd have that dress "moment" but I did and I felt like a million bucks. My daughter is getting married, we like most people went over to David's Bridal and well the lack of customer service made us rethink our choice. We had remembered that there was a bridal shop on Baseline & Dobson and thought we would go check it out. We were greeted by Sarah right when we walked into the door and even though at that time my daughter's wedding wasn't for another 2 years Sarah was more then willing to help us out. When we walked in we saw this dress and I knew that was the dress, but my daughter wanted to look around, Sarah helped her find styles and try on dresses, but when she tried on the one we 1st saw, we knew that was the dress! Its soo breathtakingly beautiful and when my daughter came out to show us my other daughter started to cry which got me started LOL. My daughter didn't even want to take the dress off, needless to say the wedding is now a year away and we can hardly wait for her groom to see her in the dress!! I set up an appointment with them for 10am today took my grandmother, great aunt, my aunt who had flown in from Oregon, and one of my good friends. I knew today was gonna be a little hard for us because my mom was supposed to be there but she passed away March 5th of this year so they came to support me and have a girls day. Well we walked in greeted with smiles and the one who would be helping us told us her name was Melanie instantly tears came because that was my moms name. I told her the situation she was super understanding and sweet. Picked out beautiful gowns that made me feel amazing I however emotionally couldn't make it through the appointment and was done after the second dress she still was super understanding and didn't try to push me to keep going she even gave me numbers for seamstresses for the dress I already have and a business card in case I want to go back and get a dress from them. I went here on a Sunday to look for a gown. They do some heavy advertising on Craig's List and I'm REALLY trying to avoid going to David's Bridal. Firstly, the web site recommends appointments, but they don't indicate that they're required. Based on other walk in reviews and it being a Sunday afternoon I took a chance. I walked in and there were 3 young ladies at the counter. I explained I had a pretty good idea what I wanted and would just like to try it on. They asked me if I could come back at 4, and said they were booked until then as far as .... Servicing customers I guess? I'm not sure, because there was no one else there except myself and the three employees. As a matter of fact, I browsed their racks for about 20-30 minutes, and no one ever came in while I was there. Just me and the, um, customers representatives, yep...just us. So I was pretty baffled as to what the issue was with someone assisting me, I even offered to try the gown on unassisted but the lady didn't even respond. Actually, I think they were huddled around the upcoming weeks schedule, because I heard some debating and phone calls going on about THAT. I just came at a bad time maybe? Secondly: The selection is off rack, 'discounted' wedding gowns. I didn't see much of a price difference between this place and others that I have shopped. Also, there's a pretty limited selection. There is no order service provided, but they'll alter it. The accessories seem priced as high as big bridal shop items I've seen, and maybe 2nd hand? I'm not a bridezilla, and I'm not in a last minute frenzy. I went alone to avoid the whole wedding dress debacle with friends and family. The service here, today, was absolutely inexcusable for a business as a whole. Good luck if you walk in. read more

I have been to Brilliant Bridal twice in my wedding dress search. Both trips were good experiences! The first time I went here, I dropped in without an appointment and all of the girls there were very helpful. They pulled a dress off of one of their window mannequins because 'they had to see it on me.' The dress was a beautiful fitted dress with a one shoulder ruffle. I ended up putting 50$ down on the dress to hold it while I looked elsewhere. I think maybe I got wrapped up in the moment, because I went to a couple other stores and found my perfect dress later that same day (the one I actually ended up buying after a few months of deliberation). So, needless to say, I didn't end up buying the dress, and I have a 50$ credit at the store. I went back after seeing them at the Bridal Expo to make sure there wasn't something else amazing that would trump the dress I had found. I tried on a lot of dresses, and they have a large selection, and the girl who worked there was very helpful and could tell that nothing was going to compare to the other dress. So, sadly, I didn't end up buying a dress here, but I would recommend checking them out, especially if you are on a budget. read more

I was able to purchase a gorgeous, 100% silk, true corset style, hand beaded, Piccione wedding gown with gorgeous train details, in brand brand new condition, all for less than 700 bucks!! LOVE the payment options that were presented to me, as well as the pricing and options for alterations. The staff was extremely attentive, offering us bottled water, helping me into and out of every gown even hanging them and putting then back into the bag! They stayed a little after closing to accommodate our decision making even though they had already closed. I never felt frustrated or rushed. It was extremely pleasant and I have been telling everyone about this wonderful gem of a store! The shopping process was easy since they have all sizes of gowns. I'm a street size 10, bridal size 14 and they have a TON of options up to size 30!!! Many styles and colors/materials. Prices were to die for!!! Try this place, you'll get a great gown, great service and have a lovely experience shopping for your dream dress. Although the staff is really helpful in picking out a dress, WATCH OUT! They hide the MAJOR imperfections when helping you into the dresses. They brought minor imperfections in my dress to my attention. Which was no big deal. But when I received my dress (I live out of state) I saw everything that was not brought to my attention. There was an 8inch rip in the I side of the dress. The zipper was ripping off as well. And there's 3 buttons missing. So now I have to pay for all new cloth buttons because they need to match. I paid $1100 for a trashed dress. And they won't even refund me any money to pay to fix these huge issues! read more
