DO NOT BUY THE TENNIS BRACELET from BE. There is a manufactureing defect that cause the very fragile bracelet to break. I had 2 different bracelets break. The first time i was able to retrieve the bracelet and they exchanged it for a new one, acknowledging the defect, and assuring me the defect had been fixed. The new one broke after 3 days of wearing except i couldn't retrieve the bracelet, and they will not replace it even thought they recognized there is a problem with the product. I had such a great experience at Brilliant Earth! I arrived with my boyfriend, and we were warmly greeted at the entrance and offered water and chocolate while we waited for our scheduled appointment. Once our appointment time came, our jewelry consultant, Christianna, greeted us and made us feel comfortable. She took the time to get to know us as a couple and asked questions about what I was interested in. We were there looking for engagement rings, and we also took a look at the wedding bands while we were there. This was our first experience going to a company for a consultation and trying on rings, and I couldn't have asked for a better first-time experience. Christianna measured my ring finger and then allowed me to try on a variety of rings from their showroom. It gave me so much clarity on what style I liked/didn't like. She even measured my boyfriend's ring finger and allowed him to try on a ring he had liked. Christianna was very knowledgeable. She gave us a breakdown of the 4 C's and then gave me options of carat sizes of the diamond that I liked the most, along with different cuts, colors, and clarity. At the end, I was able to pick which one I liked the most. She explained the next steps and sent an email with the exact details of the rings and how to move forward with ordering them if that's what we decide to do. Another thing I could appreciate about Christianna is that she was not pushy at all! Pushy consultants of any kind turn me off. I expressed that I was looking around at other places, and she respected that. Ordering and getting the ring was a very pleasant experience, and I give a lot of credit to our consultant, Tajani. She was helpful and very knowledgeable through that process. Then the nightmares began after we dropped the ring back off to get resized (it was just a quarter-size off). We were originally told it would take 2-3 weeks to have it resized and shipped back, which would have been fine. There was no communication from Brilliant Earth until we inquired after 2.5 weeks, at which time we were told it would ship out in 2-3 days. Four days later, I received an email stating that the ring needed to be completely remade, which left me confused as to why just days before we were told it would be shipping out. Gave me the sense that no one had even looked at the ring until we reached out. After that, getting in contact with a Brilliant Earth manager over the phone was abysmal - we would be told a manager would reach out in 24 hours, then a call wouldn't come until 7:30pm the next day. And if I happened to miss the call due to the odd timing, but tried to call back immediately, I would be told no managers were available. Getting answers as to when we would be getting the ring back was a near-impossible task, and we were repeatedly misled again. After Brilliant Earth kept the ring for 6 weeks in all, we finally got it back, with little more than some apologies and what was described as a "modest" discount off a future purchase (which felt a bit insulting, and no further details were given). Overall, the ring itself is great and what we were looking for, but this may have been the worst customer service I have ever experienced. As of now, I would strongly suggest others shop elsewhere, because if anything needs to get addressed with the ring and you have to send it in, you might never get it back without plenty of persistence and patience. read more

They had only 1 size of each ring: for her it was twice bigger, for him it was small. We had to decline the offer because they didn't look like wedding bands at all (more like rings to determine the finger size) and mainly because they didn't fit us. When I sent them an email they ignored me. I sent them another email AND THEY OFFERED US TO COME TO THE SHOWROOM AGAIN AT DAY OF OUR WEDDING. 8 month old ring already turned yellow multiple times, all they offer is a cleaning and then it's right back to being yellow. Horrible quality rings. Tarnish very quickly. White gold should not have to be cleaned this much. It's been 2 months, and the ring is already starting to turn back to the tarnished look. This is unacceptable. We have kept the ring away from everything that can get it to turn colors. Taking it off for every shower, not using hand sanitizer, she's not even washing her hands with it on. They will not give a refund since it is after 30 days, so just be mindful, they only have to make the ring last 31 days to keep themselves in the clear. Which they do by not putting enough anto tarnisher on. Again, STAY AWAY at all costs. Jerry from customer service Operator: 7042 did not have the capability to transfer calls or know who the supervisor on duty was and said they might not be back for the night. That is not the kind of establishment that should be getting your hard earned money for an engagement ring. A 24/7 call center should have someone from upper management on at all time to help with issues that regular support roles are unable to fulfill. At the end of the call he informed me that no supervisors are currently working. This should be looked into. UPDATE: Darline Ba****is has been helping me, she offered to replace the band and downgrade to a platinum band with a $400 refund and a pair of diamond ear rings (AS LONG AS I REMOVED MY NEGATIVE REVIEW). Three weeks later, we have the new band but are still waiting for the refund, and the pair of ear rings. They fail to follow through on their promises, offer horrible customer service (takes 4 calls to get an answer), and offer shotty products that they know you'll need to replace every couple of months. They do not return calls and will tell you anything over the phone to get you to take your review off of google. Second update: They downgraded us and gave us a new "platinum" band and a refund on the difference of the band (which they said they don't do for anyone but Darline Ba****is made an exception for us). Now the new band popped off of the prongs without hitting anything, and taking extra precautions on keeping it protected and clean.They replaced the prongs, because IT WASNT SET CORRECTLY WHEN IT WAS MADE! Me and my finance made an appointment with brilliant earth and saw the rings we liked at the show room, as wedding gift my mom decided to purchase the ring for me she applied for the BE Wells Fargo card and got approved, we ordered the ring and it was confirmed, next day they sent us an email with a link and asked us to upload a photo of ID or passport which we did and they sent us an email saying they received it. 2 days after that we got an email saying they need a school or work email for more verification, my mom is a retired nurse so she's not in school nor working. We called BE and spoke to a representative and explained the situation he said that's not a problem and most likely they won't require anything else since they received a picture of her ID back and front, we offered to upload a photo of her passport or any other proof of verification they need, he said it's not necessary and we should receive an email within 24 hours to let us know the next steps. We got an email the next day saying " that we were unable to accept your form of payment and they would need the payment either through PayPal or to wire them the money" noted that my mom was already approved for the BE credit card and can only be used to purchase from them other than that there was no point in applying for that card. We called back customer service to ask them like what's going on and the representative was like oh I don't know any additional information and we asked if there was someone who we could speak to about this and he was like you can just send an email. So after waisting our time going to the show room and they even charge extra for engraving all other places are free!, and a week of emails back and forth, and getting a credit card that we can't even use except for BE they just waisted our time and gave us a run around about payment methods all for nothing. I have never heard of a company asking someone to pay by bank wire tbh. Went to another jewelry store saw the exact ring I like at the show room and was even better quality and it took 10 minutes to place my order and purchase it. When I started my engagement ring search, I was overwhelmed with where to start or what I was looking for. Thankfully the internet has revolutionized the buyers market; but again, online selection is daunting. After much browsing, I decided to work with Brilliant Earth based on their section of engagement ring setting styles (my fiance is very much into nature ie: plants, flowers, etc...). The creativity of their settings are both diverse and unique, and their diamond selection is comparable to other big name companies. After opening the line of communication with BE via phone and the online messaging platform, their staff was very responsive, and understanding to my needs and questions. I decided to take a trip into the city at their NY showroom because I wanted to physically see what these settings looked/ felt like, and also wanting this process to be engaging in itself. Weeks prior to my appointment I contacted customer service multiple times making several requests to have all of the settings (and even specific diamonds) present for my appointment. I am happy to say all of my requests were met and walking into the showroom was such a wonderful experience! The showroom itself was beautifully set up. Open, spacious, warm and welcoming. Mary (my sales representative) was kind, knowledgeable and engaging. Working with her was delightful and she was very patient with all of my questions. My appointment ended with making the decision to invest in the experience and I ended my search for the perfect engagement ring on the day of my appointment! Few suggestions to those considering BE... 1. If choosing to go into the store, I suggest going during less busy hours (weekdays/ early afternoon). My appointment was on a Wednesday at 1pm and I had the entire showroom to myself! 2. Somewhat obvious, but do your research! I spent months watching videos, reading blogs and company reviews to ensure my decision was based on knowledge, rather than online shopping options. 3. Dont be afraid to ask questions! Extremely disappointed in Brillian Earth. Worst Customer Service I have ever experienced, and extremely poor communication to us about any issues that production might be having. Returned both my rings. Extremely broken hearted! The customer service reps were all nice, but ineffective. Nothing they said they would do ever happened, and when we escalated to manager it would take 24-48 for anyone to get back to you, IF they ever got back to you at all. They failed to deliver my engagement on time (missing delivery date multiple times), which caused my fiancee to use a "fake ring" for proposal and our engagement photos. Then when I went to change my setting and purchase a second ring, it took 12 wks and 2 days to complete, after promising completion in 3 wks. Extremely expensive purchase to not be treated with respect. Never a sense of urgency. Never a sense of how important these moments are for a couples.
