What I Ordered; a large pizza with one half pepperoni and the other half sausage. Also ordered a SMALL white sauce pizza with chicken, bacon, black olives, fresh tomatoes, and an order of cheesy bread VS What I got; a large pizza with virtually ZERO sauce (it was sooo dry) with half cheese and the other half was BOTH pepperoni and sausage...a large (not small) white pizza with no white sauce to speak of (it looked like it might have been brushed with olive oil or garlic butter, but definitely not Alfredo sauce) these toppings were correct but the chicken was flavorless and the pizza was undercooked. Cold.. Cheese, what there was of it, wasn't even melted. The cheesy bread was correct. HOWEVER despite our picking our order up the instant it came out of the oven (we were in the parking lot) the pizzas were underdone/undercooked and we're cold in the middle. We live LITERALLY 6 minutes away. No way a pie can cool that quickly. Not sure if they were having a bad night or I'm a PICKY bitch ‍ but no way this was 5 stars consistently. HOW?? Maybe since it's across from the University the drunk college kids have no taste buds. It's a no from me sorry. I'm still in search of a really GOOD pizza place.

Other options were the Lemon Drop Martini or the spiced pumpkin latte martini, with plenty of beers on tap or soft drinks for the under 21 crowd. I had a hard time choosing between spaghetti or the armed Italian sandwich. Luckily, spaghetti or fries could be served as a side for the Italian sandwich, so I enjoyed the best of both worlds. The presentation was not at all what I was expecting, given that I've only ordered a bucket of spaghetti for take-out from Belleria in Kent. But this felt different. I felt fancier and spoiled by the kindness of the server, with lighthearted jokes and kindness. With each plate, the smells were even more exciting than the presentation. But the food was delicious and I wouldn't change anything. The temperature was just right. The bread on the Italian sandwich was crispy and never soggy. It smells fresh, fluffy, with a crisp outside that will definitely bring me back again. Thursday nights, there's a special for pizza, a pitcher of beer, or a carafe of house wine with two salads. The perfect chance to give it a try for less than $30. Highly recommended.

Parking was easy, and the door was wide open when I arrived around 9:00 a.m. The line wasn't too long, which was impressive given the timing. As I waited, I noticed one of the many signs stating cash or check only--uh oh. I rummaged through my purse and managed to come up with $8.00. Whew! Just enough for what I was hoping for: a loaf of sourdough. I love sourdough. Mine was a complete failure back when everyone else mastered it during the COVID era. Since my husband is gluten-free, bread has mostly disappeared from our home, and when I do buy it, I usually choose small half-loaves for the freezer. But with Christmas here, I decided to treat myself to a full, good-tasting loaf--and I found exactly that. The sourdough loaf was $7.00, and they offered to slice it at no extra charge. I was also offered samples (which I happily accepted). I tried the Parmesan-crusted onion bread and immediately understood the hype. The crust was chewy, the cheese flavorful, and there was a subtle onion finish--perfect for snacking on the way home without dipping into my new loaf. Once home, I tried the sourdough. The end piece is always my favorite test bite, and it did not disappoint. The shop itself is cozy but efficient, easy to get in and out of, and conveniently located near Route 18. The aroma of fresh bread was divine, and the staff was fun, friendly, and incredibly helpful--even with the steady flow of customers picking up holiday goodies. I also learned they accept Venmo and Zelle, which is great to know for next time. They even offered me a calendar of their daily bread specials, and I noticed that sourdough is one of their regular daily offerings--very good to know. I'm really looking forward to going back.
