I had the clear vue implants to correct my vision. I had Dr. Brimhall do the surgery. I also had the Lasik surgery to touch up the clear vue implants. Now just 4 weeks later I have better than 20/20 vision, everything crystal clear looking at my phone and long distance driving my car. It does take a few weeks to get maximum benefit. I just can't say enough good things about Dr. Brimhall and his staff. My optometrist had been telling me my cataracts are getting worse so I finally decided to dive in and he recommended Dr. Brimhall. My first appointment I was pleasantly surprised. They follow all Covid instructions and the office was nice and clean and I didn't have to wait but maybe 10 minutes. I went back and Rob (Rod?) ran some tests and before I did each one the machine was thoroughly wiped down with a disinfectant wipe. He was super friendly and being a USAF veteran made me feel even better (I'm a USAF Mom-in-law). Dr. Brimhall then came in and took a look. He said I was the youngest patient he ever had for cataract surgery (54). Flattery will get you everywhere. Then I spoke to Andrea in their insurance office. I had already done my homework and knew what my copays were and she had exactly the same information. I scheduled my surgeries for 10-6 and 10-13. I was very nervous but the staff at the surgery center was very calming and explained each step. Before I knew surgery was over and I was on my way home. The next week I did my other eye. All the staff was great but I am calling out 2 OR staff members. There was a 3rd but being sedated, I can't remember the name. Andrew and Sol. And they played the best background music (80's). At one point during the surgery, which by the way takes maybe 10 or 15 minutes max, I felt some pain (I thought). Dr. said well that doesn't sound right I am not doing anything that would cause pain. So he did something and said does that hurt? I said kind of. But, the surgery was over and everything was fine. I found out at my follow up appointment he was touching my forehead LOL. My anxiety had gotten the best of me. If you are in need of any kind of eye surgery I highly recommend Dr. Brimhall. read more

Thus far, I have had a very good experience with Brimhall Eye. After tests were done, I decided to move forward with cataract surgery on both eyes. My surgery was yesterday with Dr. Thomson, and overall I had an excellent experience. Dr. Thomson is first rate and very professional. I was very nervous about anyone touching my eye, no less performing surgery on it! Amanda the nurse, who got me prepped, was excellent, and had a great personality. When you first come in they greet you and have you wait in the lobby. Lobby is always a nice and clean and honestly never have you waiting longer than 15 Min. Blanca their Tech is amazing! She's super sweet and comforting. She's very knowledgeable in what she's doing and extremely caring. Dr Lin has been my doctor for about over a year now. As usual BrimHall Eye came to the rescue. Due to numerous ER visits and recommendations to see ENT and an ophthalmologist to figure out what's going on. After ENT said clear but go see your ophthalmologist. Called and saw Dr. Thomson within a few hours. Dr. Thomson gave me a clean bill of health for my left eye but strongly recommended I go straight back to ER for MRIs. All this on a Thursday, January 14th. I did and found that I have Cranial Sixth Nerve Palsy and not a stroke though it can be mistaken for such. Left eye closed since Jan 11th and hopefully a recovery in a few months or so but at least Dr. Thomson set me in the right path. His concern for my health was definitely evident and also to follow up with a neurologist which was also validated by the neurologist at Mountain View Hospital. read more

Phew! I had gotten something in my eye and wasn't able to flush it out. I could see it on my cornea but it wasn't moving when I'd flush. Yelp lead me to the location on Durango, but the earliest appt was in their Tenaya office. The appt was for 20 minutes from the time I called. She warned me that because they were squeezing me in there might be a bit of a wait. I was surprised at how quickly I was seen, and even more surprised at how quick the whole process was. An hour after the thing had gotten in my eye, it was out! Instant relief! Everyone was so nice and helpful, I felt like I was in good hands, which was proven by the end of the visit. read more

Brimhall Eye Center came to my rescue after I was unable to have my second cataract surgery. My previous physician told me it was not considered "essential" after he did the first eye and that he didn't know when it could be done. This left me completely unable to perform the normal activities of daily living. After spending literally seconds with Dr. Brimhall, he assured me that he could perform the second surgery immediately.
