This was one of the worse experiences I have seen at a Doctors Office. I took my 80 year old sister who has dementia and just had surgery from a fractured leg there for a 3:15pm appointment. I looked up the address on Smoke Ranch Rd. and drove her there. We went into the office to check her in. The girl there told us we were at the wrong office and they had another one in the same complex a few doors down. I got her back into the car and we drove over to the other one. I went in to their office and gave them her name. The girl stated we were 15 minutes late. I explained we were at the other office mistakenly and they directed us over to this office. When we went into the lobby there was nobody in there. It was totally empty. I explained we were at the other office. She stated well if that was true the girl from the other Office would of called her. I told her she could call her to verify it. She disappeared into the back Offices for about 10 minutes. You could hear her and another girl chit chatting and laughing for about 10 minutes. She then came out and said we would have to reschedule. I advised her it was not easy getting an elderly person with a handicap back and forth to these appointments. She did not care about the circumstances. In the time the girl and the other girl were in the back laughing and caring on, my sister could of been seen for the simple little issue she had gone there for. I don't understand why they have no compassion for the elderly in an empty office, but have time to sit in the back and laugh and chit chat. My sister could of been in and out by that time. My sister has two upcoming surgeries scheduled with them. I am considering canceling them and going to another provider. I will also report this to her Primary care Physician and to Humana who send us there. read more

UNACEPPTABLE. Unnecessary test to kill time and charge VA for unnrefed test. Greedy and zero compssion. Everybody says gow compasdionaye they are but it n where to be found. I went in to see a doctor about two weeks ago, after terrible symptoms that were impacting my quality of life. The front staff was great, but that's about it. I expressed my symptoms and concern of ocular rosacea due to my...rosacea. The doctor quickly diagnosed me with dry eye, then said, "Not to sound like a used car salesman, but punctal plugs are the best option for dry eye". I said I'd try drops and then decide from there. I picked up my prescriptions and within one day had one of the worst allergic reactions I've ever had. My eyes were swollen shut. I called the after hours line and the doctor sounded like he did not care to help me at all. He called in another eye drop. I got that eye drop, and now an even worse reaction. I called the office to see if I could be checked again, because obviously, this wasn't working. The person I spoke to said, "It's not the doctor's fault you had an allergic reaction". That definitely was not what I was inferring. I was looking for...idk, help with my symptoms? I stated this and the response was basically an audible shrug. I made an appointment with another doctor but then declined to continue at this practice after I saw that they had scheduled my "follow-up" after the first appointment for punctal plugs and not a simple follow up. Between the comment and being scheduled for a procedure I never asked for, the complete disregard for my quality of life and care, I was disgusted. I get it, dry eye is easy, any maybe lucrative with those plugs, seeing as how pushy they were with those. Since then I've been diagnosed with...ocular rosacea. What a waste of time, money and my health. read more

I'm truly bummed because I went to Meadows Eye to have Ptosis surgery done (droopy eyelids causing vision impairment. Often caused by poor development of the levator muscle, which lifts the eyelid). Supposed to be a most successful surgery with no complications. And I've come away with my left eye drooping farther than it did before. I have the Hunchback of Notre Dame's eye, and I look like Renfield (Dracula's sidekick). I have an enlarged eyelid covering most of my left eye. It's really sad because even if I go on Snapchat to try to select one of those cute little faces just to make me look better. The eye is so droopy that SnapChat can't help.. I'm really very bummed. I can't even pose for any holiday pictures unless I'm wearing sunglasses or an eye patch. Truly sad. And I have to wait for 2 months until they can look at it again and see what they can do. Urgency is not their forte in correcting issue. So my holiday festivities are all shot to hell unless I'm wearing sunglasses or an eye patch. What makes it worse is the staff is really cool and it is a good practice...as I stated, urgency to repair not their forte. read more

Trying to figure out how to do a no star review but can't....Family member had 10:00 appointment, got there at 9:30 to check in .The usual wait to get worked up.. then eyes dilated and a hour and ten minutes later still not called in. Finally after an hour and fifteen minutes called in to the doctor's office. Dilation effects wearing off... Let's see how long the wait is until the doc comes in (time check, it's been fifteen minutes and no doctor)....(time check again, 25 minutes, still no doctor, dilation effects long gone) (last time check 40 minutes, no doctor, checked again told will be another 30 minutes... We're out of here! Time for a new doctor! read more

First time patient. The Dr. was very thorough but found it a bit difficult understanding his medical terminology of what he was suggesting. I was appreciative of his thoroughness though. The staff on the other hand was a joke! The technician who dilated my eyes FAILED TO MENTION TO ME THAT I MIGHT NOT BE ABLE TO SEE FOR 4-6 HOURS! but then she said that (I quote) "Only Seniors are the ones who have that much trouble with dialation!" What!? Long story short, I ended up having to pull over somewhere I guess near their (even though I waited for 30min. in the ofc) only to have my wife's boss come bring her from across town to drive me home bc I could Not SEE!!!! I can't say enough good things about them. After going to an optometrist and opthalmologist and not getting anywhere, I reached out to Meadows Eye. It was Saturday and I was in a lot of pain and I just googled to try and find anywhere that was open. I stumbled upon them and called. The woman who answered the phone was very kind, understanding and helpful. They did not have a doctor in the clinic but she called the on call doctor. She called me back and said he would come in to the clinic (on the weekend!) and see me (a new patient!) in person. I was shocked. And relieved. Dr. Gunn was also very friendly, helpful and personable. He really took his time and didn't rush me and was thorough. Dr. Claudia Krispel is the most amazing women in the world!!!!!! She is literally the best at what she does and I can not thank her enough!! She has saved my mothers life twice now, and almost exactly a year apart! In 2019 my mother had a full retina detachment on black Friday and Dr. Claudia answered her phone call and met us a the hospital with in an hour for emergency surgery! It was amazing!!! Then October 16th 2020, my mother just had a partial retinal detachment on the other eye. And Dr. made phone calls and had us a surgery room ready within 2 hours at Sunrise. Also she is very understanding and takes her time and explains what is going on and what her plans of care are. Her staff is amazing and compassionate, they really do treat patience's like family. 1st place that popped up when I typed in reitna specialist was meadows reitna... every review is a 5 star & I knew in my gut I wouldn't be disappointed along with reading all the reviews. From the moment I walked in yesterday to when I walked out to my car it was only 1 hour & 40 minutes. Staff is top notch, very kind. I had kinda an Informal eye exam with numbing drops & dilation, then a scan took pictures of each eye. Was taken to the exam room, maybe waited 5-10 minutes, Dr. Krispel came in, shes soooo nice & no white coat as I have severe white coat syndrome. She talked to me for a bit & looked at my eyes, took pictures of each eye in many different directions & saw several white spots around my reitna along with bleeding behind my eye. She is extremely through, she said we can start treatment today if you'd like, no pressure at all knowing I drove myself, but I wanted to start, several numbing drops & more of a process later I ended up with an injection in my eye where the bleeding is & didnt feel a thing. Dr. Krispel, extremely gentle, very informative & even spoke to my mom over the phone so in case I forgot everything as a lot of information is given to you. You will not leave uninformed. I'm extremely happy so far & looking forward to the rest of my treatments. P.S. My very 1st review I read was the review that stated she was told the same needed to get a shot in her eye, I remember reading that & was like what the heck, who would allow that. LOL. read more

He explained everything and answered all of my questions. I was 80 years old and this was the first surgery of my life. I was a bit nervous, but thanks to Dr. Saboori, he gave me confidence and I concentrated on my vision improvement. The surgery went as planned and the results were better than I could have imagined. I was excited about the surgery on the other eye. After completing the second eye, I had no problems, no pain and would describe my surgeries as pleasant experiences and so rewarding. Highly recommend Dr. Amram (retina specialist).... but for some reason BOTH of my appts with Dr. Ortiz resulted in VERY LONG wait times. In fact, after waiting 1 hr and 24 min to see Dr. Ortiz, I walked out!!!! It's extremely disrespectful for doctors' offices (the docs and staff) to keep patients waiting an excessive amount of time! And this happened TWICE....so clearly they don't know how to run an efficient practice/business. My time is valuable too! read more

I was referred to Dr. Krispel by another ophthalmologist who was not a retinal specialist. The very next day I met Dr. Krispel who is a brilliant and talented surgeon, physician, retinal specialist, ophtalmologist, and a doctor who really cares about her patients well being. She explained that I had a macular hole in the macula which is part of the retina. My vision in my right eye was growing dark and there was distortion. This happened suddenly and I am no eye expert but when Dr. Krispel saw me she gave me an immediate diagnosis, with an explanation I could understand, and a recommendation that she perform surgery to fix the hole. She operated on my eye three weeks ago and it has been healing steadily since. Dr. Krispel saved the vision in my right eye. And she is a really nice person who has impeccable credentials. I hope you never need treatment on your retinas but if you do, it is certainly comforting to know that Las Vegas has someone like Dr. Krispel to take care of you.
