When my Dad recently passed I used Brings with the help of hospice to support my family's needs. They were incredibly kind, supportive and informative during the entire process from picking up the body after hours through my appointment to make arrangements to keeping me updated on post arrangement items. Joseph made sure that all items were discussed and that my Dad was taken care of and arrived safely in New York. The lobby and rooms at Brings are very tastefully decorated with a quiet/calming vibe. The prices are reasonable and the staff helpful. Particularly when I was getting a little anxious about getting the death certificates which are provided by the county. They called me the moment they were in so I could pick them up. I understand the loss of a loved one can be so stressful, so I took that into consideration when looking at past reviews. read more

Terrible! They couldn't provide the ability to run a power point presentation video because they lacked the basic IT expertise. My tech savvy siblings and friends were able to figure it out in the reception room. They were supposed to be honor Guard there to fold the flag given my father's veteran status. No show! They were paid upfront for original cremation charges. The additional charges for use of the sanctuary and reception room were paid via check from my parents' account. As the executor of the estate, I created electronic access. The bank shut the account down as a fraud precaution which was cleared up in a day. The check to Brings did not clear and was made aware of that the day before I am writing this note. I called them, they said they understood. Today I told them that I would have someone bring another check over. That said, the answer was nope! I gave them an option, I'll give you a credit card, or you take check. If you don't take a check, and opt for credit card, I'll write a review. As a family of reasonable wealth, I was insulted. Don't work with Joesph, the Funeral home director, I put this squarely on his shoulders. These people were unprepared to serve us in the best manner possible. Unfortunately, we are regular customers from back in the 1970's. Between family and extended family we have had nearly a dozen services from them. This was unacceptable and impacted our ability to celebrate my 91-year-old fathers' life. Shame on Joesph for his inattention to my family's request. No leadership! read more

We had recently lost my Uncle. Using this company was the worst experience that my family had to go thru. The clergy was disrespectful and cruel to my Aunt. The entire ceremony was terrible and I feel a disrespect to my Uncle'a memory. Embarrassing family members because they didn't want to make a statement. My Uncle was a veteran and they treated him as if he was just another body to handle. They wouldn't let anyone go to the actual burial site. They told my Aunt if the were late to the burial area which was down in Sierra Vista they would not be allowed in and would have to leave. Just the whole experience, NO should have to go thru. This was disgusting and I don't know how these people are still in business. You are a disgrace!!! read more

My Father passed away peacefully at home in March of this year. Brin'g's was contacted, and they came to pick him up. A silver van pulls up, and we were wondering exactly how were they going to transport our Dad back to the funeral home. To our horror as we accompany our Dad to be loaded into the van, there was another body in the back of the vehicle. This body was left in the car for about an hour that it took to load up our Dad with the vehicle turned off and no AC on. This (our Dad's and a stranger's body) was a very undignified transport and we did not know Bring's does 2 for 1's. It was extremely tasteless. I am following up in the hopes that this unprofessional and uncompassionate company does not treat another family this way . As of today, 4/27/2022, I have yet to have any person from Brings Broadway reach out to me or attempt to apologize or explain any error on their part. I am beyond devastated with the service and treatment I received from Bring's- specifically from Paul, who has no business being in this line of work. It is OBVIOUS money is the only thing on his mind and he has ZERO compassion. Here's a recap of all that went wrong during the worst time of my life these last 2 weeks for the passing of my father.... 1. The obit was printed with several spacing errors (no spacing between words), even though I didn't send it like that. It wasn't fixed for about 24 hours. 2. Paul was outrageously rude to me. He got paid thousands of dollars up front from my dad when he chose this place. "There is a balance of $290 & we don't want for death certificates. It is due before the service on Friday". The tone was colder than ice. He also made the comment, "You sent so many emails I lost track". I'm sorry. I live in Chicago trying to do everything from afar and I've never had to arrange a funeral before. I can't believe how this "man" spoke to me. 3. My dad's service was to be on 6/19/20. Of COURSE the plan was to go to the cemetery immediately after for the burial. Remember, I live in Chicago (I was leaving on the 21st). Paul called the man (Nick) my dad put in charge of taking care of everything to tell him my dad wouldn't be buried until Monday the 22nd.....and that I knew and agreed to this on our first conversation. That is a 100% bold face LIE. I NEVER would have agreed to this and could have easily changed the date. I planned this almost 2 weeks out for reasons that don't have anything to do with this review. I called Bring's to speak with Paul- and was clearly upset to the woman who answered the phone. He wouldn't take my call. He called Nick back & said he wouldn't call me back because "She is irate". He's a MANAGER. He's telling me my dad is going to be buried without his family. Of course I'm irate!!! Since he said he wouldn't speak to me, I sent an email to him and cc'ed 2 other directors to call him out on his lie that I agreed to a Monday burial. I didn't swear at him. I didn't threaten him....but I expressed my feelings over his unethical conduct. He replied back threatening to file harassment charges. Absolutely crazy because he didn't like being called out for messing up the worst time of my life. 4. I had a friend make a slide show for the service. It was on 2 TVs during the service. The music was off. So the music for one TV was a few seconds behind the other. Very frustrating, annoying and unprofessional. 5. The webcast. Since only 10 people are allowed due to Covid, the service was webcast. After it was over I was getting texts that they couldn't hear. There was a droning background noise that wasn't in the room but was VERY loud on the recording that made it very difficult and often impossible to hear what people were saying. I called Bring's (not sure who answered) and got an "Oh well. There's nothing we can do about it now" In my entire life, I have NEVER been treated so disrespectfully and like such trash as I did during my father's death. The Google reviews are similar to mine. I wish my dad researched better before choosing this place. Please save yourself the stress and humiliation and do not use this place. They have made the very worst and saddest time of my life somehow even worst. Save yourself. Do your research. Go to the place that will treat you and your loved one with patience, dignity, respect and HONESTY. This isn't it UPDATE to address their response: This has NOTHING to do with the direction of the power of attorney as I was making all the decisions for my father. The power of attorney and I agreed on EVERYTHING so that makes no sense. This has everything to do with how I was treated and the gigantic mistakes that were made with no apologies. It has everything to do with zero compassion and disrespect. The POA didn't want my father buried 3 days later without his family!!! Please stop trying to hide the truth and the real issues. How does the POA have anything to do with the inaudible webcast? My goal is to save other people from the trauma and heartache Paul and this place caused me. read more

Definitely not happy with the demeanor of the staff that was working with us on my family's recent loss. The tone was condescending. They just wanted your money. I realize its a business but there is a better way to handle it. I know this from previous services in my life elsewhere. read more

A friend recently passed away and due to COVID only 10 people were aloud to attend. There was a webcast. It was horrible. It was grainy. You could hardly hear what was being said. Went to rewatch it to see if they cleaned it up. That had 45 minutes of the family and deceased milling around. Thought that's all the repeat was. Then found out the service started after the 1st 45 minutes. It was just as bad and had a horrible back round noise. It was so said that the people who could not attend could not hear what was going on. I'm sure this was not the first webcast. So it should have been a better quality. While a morbid topic, I think it's important to let people know about my experience at Bring Funeral Home. I attended a service for my husband's co-worker who had passed away last week. The employees were extremely attentive to not only the family of the deceased, but to all guests- handing out programs, making sure everything started on time and went smoothly. The interior is very nicely decorated and lit- some places look like...well...you know. Bring had lovely lighting and touches that made you feel comfortable. Also bonus points for ample boxes of tissues in the pews. I forgot mine, so I was thankful. Overall, the staff at Bring are very in-tune with the demands and needs of people requiring their services. They are unobtrusive and ensure that you have a wonderful service to remember your loved ones- that's the impression I got. read more

Amazing! This business is exactly what business should be. We dealt with Allan. He is so amazing!! We were in a tough pickle. My grandfather pre-arranged his death for a northern AZ business to handle everything, he ended up passing away 200 plus miles from home. All his pre-arrangements at his local mortuary were then null and void. It would have been a very expensive transport for 200 plus miles. So we chose Brings in Tucson instead. I based my decision solely because of Allan. When I called around to a few local funeral homes to write down costs of each so that my grandmother could make a decision. My last call was to Brings. Allan was nice, efficient, patient, very caring he gave off a good vibe so I told my grandmother to pick brings over everyone else. We had some hang ups with not getting grandpa's contract sent from the NAZ pre contracted company to Allan, so Allan and I did all the work ourselves. There are a couple less expensive funeral homes (not by much) but meeting with Allan over the phone for the first time he stood out from the rest. Bring's assisted my family after the passing of my grandmother. The staff were all very kind and helpful, and the facilities were clean and welcoming for the memorial service. I would not hesitate to recommend them to someone else who has suffered a loss. read more

My father lived in Tucson and passed away their. It was hard to figure out where to go to organize his funeral beings I wasn't from Tucson and I didn't know the area at all. I actually looked at Yelp (strange but true) to see if I could find a funeral home with great reviews. Our experience at Brings was fantastic. Alan helped us with all of the planning and made a sad experience an easy one. My father asked to be buried in CA and Alan organized everything to help get him to CA. Every staff member we encountered at Brings was friendly and helpful. The interiors are updated and very pretty. I defiantly recommend Brings if you are in need of a great funeral experience. read more

They missed the military honors on the funeral. Said it was a sever update. Once we complained they only refunded the cost of the video. When they panned the people in attendance they waited until everyone was gone. To top it off they sent a one year condolence letter asking to come in for future arrangements. Unbelievable. read more

While it is a rather unfortunate thing we had to use a funeral home, I'm pleased to say that Brings is fantastic at what they do. My father passed away, in his home, due to cancer last month, and while it was expected it was rough. Brings made it clear that we didn't have to call them to pick him up right away, so that everyone could say their goodbyes. When they did arrive at my mothers house they mindfully, peacefully, and very softly let us know what was going to happen. They moved him on to a stretcher, and much to our surprise put a U.S. Flag over him, because he was a disabled veteran. That was a great touch and the whole family appreciated it. He was cremated and they called to let my mom know he was ready and that she could come get him whenever she wanted. They are very understanding and welcoming. I can't comment on the funeral services, seeing as though he will be buried in Ohio this June. By far, these guys go above and beyond. read more
