Customer Service is rotten, the service was absolutely horrible. they didn't miss a bea T charging me 40 bucks for every false alarm the system had or double charging and overcharging me for cancellation. I can't wait for this contract to end... you guys just stealing people's money ... you charge for everything. You won't send someone to fix an issue even if is not our fault... You guys make us do your job over the phone. One time we were on vacation and the alarm went on, I have someone to go check it out and later I got a bill for it! Really? Why? I couldn't believe it! Plus the guy just went in front the house check is it was closed, took a picture and left.... I was so disappointed!! Even worse I got a guy in my door from Elevation Solar or Vir (not sure if it's the same Company), he said the company was partner with Brinks, he convinced me to get panel solar by making a deal, to add more cámaras for free, guest what happened? After the installation he will not answer my calls... his name is Blake Preston (still have his business card lol) I believe he was moving back to California... Lesson learned!! Horrible. Just horrible. The customer service is awful. It took 4 hours to schedule a service call via text. The phone lines were too busy for an actual call. We just needed the wifi changed. After confirming someone would be in contact within 2 days, nothing. We finally called the local CRS Services who were efficient and helpful. Fast forward a week and I was charged twice within 20 days for service. Try to contact customer service and it's the same loop all over again. Don't waste your time or money. read more

So, my original Security Company was bought out by Brinks and I was never notified other than email that went to spam folder, so when my credit card changed over to another #, I didn't even know they were still monitoring until it showed up on my credit as a late payment. They placed a notice on my credit! I didn't know they could or would do that. I am not under contract with them, it was over 4 years ago that we were under contract with protect america the original company, so I am not sure how they can do this. regardless I spent almost 40 minutes on hold waiting for someone to talk to, they told me they coldn't do anything and would send me to technical support who would handle everything and then proceeded to hold for another 40 minutes and the ultimate conclusion was they could not do anything about this and the billing department was closed for today (1:30 pacific) and I'd have to call again and deal with this all over again, over all my phone says I was on phone with them for 1 hour and 43 minutes with no resolution. I purchased security from Livewatch about 7-8 years ago. They were great! Easy to get a hold of for questions and during alarm situations. Brinks took over and I can't be done with this company fast enough. It is impossible to get a hold of people: many different numbers to call or text, no email, hours...and i mean HOURS on the phone to ask a questions or troubleshoot. Some problems I've had are the following: *alarms go off while I am at work and they don't text to warn me or my back-up person like Livewatch used to do *too many choices and unable to get a hold of someone and find out what is going on during an alarm going off *person on the phone sounded like they were selling something, so my back-up person didn't know they were from an alarm company warning of an impending alarm *equipment not working properly, people don't know how to fix, hours passed around from person to person *two different people telling me to take my base unit apart, doesn't warn me about alarm about to Blair in my ears causing severe tinnitus that still hasn't gone away *person on phone didn't tell me (nor seem to care) how to turn off alarm on base unit when taking apart especially when the keypad isn't working *person on the phone saying they were cancelling my alarms while unit isn't working but didn't, waited hours to talk to someone else while unit kept going off continuously and only could turn off with phone *got on with a new person. Several people had to be told to cancel dispatch while we were trouble shooting and alarms were set off. They didn't seem to understand this *Billing question??? Forget it. People will give you different answers and plan to wait hours on the phone...yes...hours. *extra charge added to bill with no warning or explanation. read more

RUN from this company DON'T WALK. THIS COMPANY are CROOKS. **NOTE**ALL the reviews on Brinks ALL have 1 star and NOTHING above this. There is a reason for this and I too am a victim of this company. I have been with with this company for more then 3 name changes, and by far Brinks is the WORST companyI have had to deal with. Brinks came out and put in an updated security system, which so far has been the BIGEST mistake. My system keeps loosing its signals. I have the giga blast internet system, so it is not my internet. I have had a tech. repair man with Brinks come out at least 6 times to try to fix it, and as of yet, still does not work properly. When Brinks originally came out, Brinks technician broke my balance inside my window when installing the sensor and I could not open up my window anymore. I called it in immediately and had to fight to get this repair fixed by Brink. After several hours and time, Brinks agreed to pay for it. This was in Nov.2020. I was told that I needed to pay for the repair ahead of time before I could be reimbursed OUT OF MY OWN POCKET. I called Davis Windows to come out and get it fixed. Davis required a 50% deposit to order the parts, and the rest of the balance will be due when its installed. I did exactly what was required and was completed in Feb. 2021 for the parts were on back order. I sent a email to the Executive response team that is where I was told to send the bill to per Brinks . I did so in Feb. 2021 and March 2021 showing the bill I ALREADY paid. I NEVER received a response at all in 2 months. I called in March and waited 1.5 hrs just to get hung up on because I asked to speak to a supervisor. I then called right back and was on the phone for another 1 hr and 20 min. to be told that the person I need to talk to is not in and will have to wait for a call tomorrow. When asked if they sent me a email or any communication regarding this, they said no, its in the notes of your account that the preauthorized repair is NOW denied. REALLY?????? HOW CAN YOU AUTHORIZE a repair and then once its done, YOU DENY THE REPAIR. Not only is this DISHONEST, HORRIBLE/BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE but it is UNETHICAL. I Have not been happy with BRINKS AT ALL. NOW I UNDERSTAND WHY AND HOW Brinks have soooo many BAD REVIEWS. RUN AWAY from this company and don't trust a company that gives you their word and then decide to reject it AFTER the fact. SHAME ON YOU BRINKS. You will be loosing a loyal , On time paying customer due their incompetence and lies. BRINKS does not deserve my business and I will be pulling my other 3 businesses that I currently have with Brinks as well. You just lost out on more money every month then it would have cost for the total damage repair to be reimbursed. I think it time to try Vivint Security instead. I had just moved into my home in July when the sales person claimed they were offering a deal and could install that day. I was told that My bill was being divided because the other company owned the equipment, but the truth is they are a final company and I didn't realize how much a rip off they were until I went on line and saw their packages. They don't provide any service. I want to cancel, but I don't have $2500 to cancel my contract. Technical is non existent. I called a week ago and still waiting for someone from their technical service to call me. This is the third time since July that this has happened. I had Protection One for 30 years in Virginia and they are now part of ADT. I have a home business and not having a reliable security system is unacceptable! read more

I signed up on the phone a year ago for Brinks. I signed up to lock in a fee of $17.99 for 5 years. I asked the representative of Brinks If my bill would ever increase for the contracted years. The representative said no. I asked how much will my total bill be? I was told it would not go over $20. The cost recovery fee was $1.97. I was fine with that so I signed up. Last month a year later my cost recovery fee was $6.40. I called and the representative told me that the fee changed and they are billing once a year, so I said ok that is fine. This month I recieved another bill with the higher fee and I was on hold for an hour and still could not talk to a manager. The representative told me there is nothing they can do about the cost recovery fee because it goes up depending on their upgrades to their system. It is in part c of the contract. I explained that I agreed over the phone and was not told this about the contract and I asked about how much the total bill would be. This company is a scam. There are so many other companies that do not have contracts, I would recommend you go with one of those. read more

They are a horrible security system . Don't waste your money.My alarm went off and they could not reach me. I called them 1 hour later they told me they had dispatched someone to my home but no one had shone up yet.I called the guard gate in my neighborhood they got there in 5 minutes . Thank God my house was safe. But after an hour of not reaching me someone still was not at my house . They told me that the only responsibility they have is to call and disperse the security service to the house it's not their problem of how long it takes them to get there. Due to a contract I signed, not able to terminate. They took over Monitronics and when u signed with them, they offered a free move program. Where they move your service with you and install a new system. Well because Brinks took over, they will not honor it. I fell that if they take over, they should honor what was signed. Claim to be 100% customer satisfaction, but did not contact me to let me know that I had an outstanding balance on my account. Instead, they sent my outstanding balance to a collection agency which has now affected my credit and I am forced to pay three times as much. I had NO IDEA that I had an outstanding balance or I would have paid it. Now I am being told that in the "fine print" it says that they will not contact me, I should have looked for it myself. Not sure why, it would have been courteous of them to just contact me and let me know instead of ruining my credit and charging me three times the amount! read more

Go with a different security system! Customer service is horrible! After waiting 40 minutes on hold I finally got a live person. I explained that we had canceled the service (we moved) and then we got another monthly charge. The person on the phone said she couldn't help and that everything looked fine on the account and it looked closed. She said I would have to e-mail somebody else. This was told to me with constant times asking to put me on hold. When she would put me on hold it would be for about 10-15 minutes at a time. I'm assuming she was trying to get me to hang up. After waiting on hold for more than 20 minutes the last time (a total time of 1 hour & 20 minutes) she transferred me back to the main line. Looks like I will have to dispute this charge with my credit card. Do yourself a favor and go with Brantley!! We used them in our new house and we are extremely happy with them! read more
