This review will resemble many others here on Yelp. Ambiance and service was very good. Drinks were well made and balanced. Quickly served what should have been a nice half loaf of airy Italian bread. Please see pic in manhandled squashed bread. Not exactly appealing or appetizing with the hand and thumbprint left in the loaf. Entrees were served in a reasonable time. Shrimp Spaghetti was fine. Nothing remarkable about it that would make me order it again. The chicken Marsala was quite disappointing. The only thing cooked well was the asparagus. Two small breasts were over grilled, easily happens to breasts 1/4" thick and they couldn't even come up with enough Marsala sauce to cover them?!? I guess 2 slices of mushroom in the sauce were generous. The cafeteria ice cream scoops of mashed potatoes were a nice touch. I had to actually laugh when my plate was set in front of me. What upscale restaurant serves mashed potatoes using a scoop? Cold dense and had a lumpy weird texture. Felt like they added cold mash to hot mash and tried mixing them together. The cafeteria quality food doesn't match the decor or cost of the entree. The deal is if you are charging an avg of $30 a plate in Dayton for Italian entrees you better up your game. Brio really doesn't. Hopefully new people continue to come here because I think repeat customers will be hard to come by. I can't say I have a convincing reason to return which is unfortunate because everything else is set up for success. But if your primary function is to deliver Italian dishes at a higher price point than the local competition your food has to be better and customers have a higher expectation for what we are paying for. In Brio you may find better elsewhere but you'll never pay more. Sorry Brio, one and done for us. read more

I'm so disappointed, we arrived at brio today at 2:15 and sat on the patio. It was our 16 year anniversary and we wanted to have a special lunch. Unfortunately it was very lackluster. We had the inside bartender as our waiter, there was only one other table on the patio and no one at the bar. I'm not sure why this became the ridiculous experience it did. We ordered water, Diet Coke and a miller lite. We must of sat waiting for 25 minutes for just that. Finally I went in and said can we please get our drinks and bread ? Bartender told me - So sorry, we're trying to figure out the new computer system. We were told they were out of Miller , so I asked for a house wine. And the bread was in the oven. We ordered side salad that arrived with wilted iceberg $8 each and had no dressing on it and received No bread- I asked again for bread. He said still in the oven.... 40 min after we arrived. We did get one piece of bread at the 50 min mark after finishing our salads. My lasagna was good but my spouse's chicken caprese had little pesto and no flavor. The bartender said I know you've been here forever with service being sub par so desert is on me. We were not at any point offered refills on drinks or bread... When our bill arrived- He charged us for both desserts and said he forgot what he said about complementary... And just laughed!!! Our whole experience was the worst I've had in years ! Our bill was $100 and it took 2 hours and 10 minutes total. I will never return to Brio at the Greene in Beavercreek Ohio. read more

The service was great. Our server paid attention to us. The restaurant is large and decorated well. Unfortunately it was pretty empty and it was Saturday. We decided to give them a chance because of the coupon they sent to our home. TBH I was worried at the low Yelp rating. I ordered salad and lasagna. The salad was delicious. It was fresh and had a good amount of ingredients. The lasagna was good. It was different from any I have had previously. I was surprised that there are no meatballs on the menu. I guess because of the region of Italy the food represents? Bread was warm and fresh. On the whole no complaints but also no raves. read more

On Mother's Day, the service was despicable. Waited over 45 minutes to be seated for a reservation and another 45 minutes to get bread and water. Then no plates or silverware to eat the bread for another 15 minutes. Bar was backed up and the kitchen was even worse. Asked the manager why there weren't hostesses at the table or people to bus empty tables. He seemed nonplussed and non apologetic. They ran out of spoons and plates for the bread and appetizers. What used to be a nice place to dine turned into a disappointment-especially for a special occasion. read more

My friend insisted that we come here but we came on a Sunday when they have brunch. I got the French toast and my friend got the breakfast plate. For how overpriced this restaurant is, I thought we would get really good brunch but it was not good at all. The French toast was like any slice of white bread you can get at the grocery store--I figured an upper scale Italian place could afford something decent. I have to say, Brio is one of our favorite restaurants. We have never had a bad meal here and we love all the servers. Especially, Coup and Heather. Went to Brio at about 4:30 and it was very empty, it filled up around 5 but I would definitely recommend getting a reservation since they're available online. Food and service were quick and great tasting. Ambiance was very nice and felt more upscale that other restaurants in the area. read more

Brio qualifies as a date night with your wife restaurant Tis a grand day. We carefully select Brio at the Greene for a date night. In all aspects, Brio has it together. Brio is a handsome property, and the al fresco dining is inviting. The hostess is well trained, as are the servers. Brio is also inviting for inside dining, and outside dining in good weather. Brio is a corporate restaurant chain along with Bravo! Cucina Italiana. My wife always elects the Calamari Fritto Misto, specifying "lots of tentacles. And my wife enjoys the Pasta Fra Diavolo with shrimp. I like the lamb chops (New Zealand.) We recommend Brio. read more

I am giving this restaurant a 1 Star - Poorly Managed and Unprepared on Mother's Day. I had a 2:15 PM reservation for four on Mother's Day at Brio Italian Grille in Beavercreek at The Greene. Despite making the reservation well in advance, we were not seated until nearly an hour later. The front area was a mess, completely jammed with guests and clearly understaffed, with only one or two people trying to manage check-ins. The manager was disorganized, dismissive, and showed little concern for the growing crowd. Once we were finally seated, it took another 20 minutes before anyone came to our table. I walked to the bar to place a drink order (two iced teas and two Tuscan Sunrise cocktails), only to be told they'd "work them in" but couldn't say how long it would take. By the time we sat and placed order it was over 90 minutes after our reservation, there were still no drinks, no food, and only an apology. For a restaurant of this caliber to be so poorly prepared on one of the busiest dining days of the year is completely unacceptable. Definitely not the experience I expected or paid for on Mother's Day. Everyone's meal should have been comped. read more

Regret for taking our out of town son and daughter in law for dinner last night. Service was absolutely horrible. 1. Sodas were totally flat and could not change because waitress did not have time to visit our table. 2. No silverware or napkins until food was served. Then we had to ask for silverware, small plates and napkins. It was so frustrating to ask for every basic essential 3. Waitress seemed to be a nice person but absolutely did not have time. 4. Food taste was OK but quantity is small compared to charges but that was ok. We will never visit it again, very unsatisfactory service. read more

Let's start with the fact that they use an incredibly strongly scented bathroom cleaner. This might not sound horrible but let me assure you this becomes much more of a factor when you're seated six feet from the bathroom. Also my wife tells me the women's bathroom was out of toilet paper. Next the service, our waiter was nice enough. Disappeared for long stretches which seemed even longer becasue of the 50 minute wait to get our food. Now onto the food. This was easily the worst meal for the price I've ever paid. $130 before tip for a party of 3. Appetizer of the bruschetta sampler was decent but incredibly overpriced at $17 for 6 pieces. I had the lobster and shrimp linguini which was shockingly salty. My daughter had the filet which was undercooked and came with the wrong side. We would have been far, far better off going to The Olive Garden both for value and food quality. Avoid this place. read more

Do yourself a favor, skip and go to Olive Garden instead. Went there for a nice family meal and service was just plain bad. I don't say that lightly and I am prone to give people/places the benefit of the doubt but...this was a bad experience. Server took a long time, drinks took and long time, getting bread took a year and getting our food took 45 mins (I timed it). When the food came...the blandest salmon I've ever eaten atop of the smallest and blandest plate of angel hair pasta I've ever had. I had to ask for cheese but even that didn't save it. They were out of the kids pizza but offered flatbread pizza that tasted like cardboard. Barely any toppings. Horrible experience. Go get your unlimited breadsticks, soup and salad and get what you pay for somewhere else. Avoid at all costs read more
