Choosing a dog walking person/company is never easy. The prospect of handing over your animal, let…read morealone your keys, is certainly a daunting one. However, that's where Super Dog excelled right off the bat. Actually, I was lucky, because it was a random stop to inquire with one of the walkers (Justin) that gave me the instant sense that I found the people to help me with scheduled walks for my pup. Now, over a year later, my attitude hasn't changed. With Super Dog, you can expect people that care about your dog, and care about your satisfaction. Besides the fact that my pup loves those that have taken care of her, communication is key, and after every walk you will receive a note telling you who the dog was with, what "business" they took care of, and if need be, any other issues that were encountered or need addressing. Or, the note just might offer that it was a great walk on a sunny day! Additionally, Dana, Justin, and Patrick (those that have taken care of my pup) are more than happy to leave the pup in as good a condition to head back to the couch as when they took her out (meaning -- as thorough a towel dry as need be...wiping of paws, etc.). In fact, when I had previously forgotten to put towels out on a wet day, it was no problem to direct Justin to where they were so that the pup, and the house were left in good condition. Client satisfaction, without skipping a beat. My experience with scheduling has been nothing short of easy, and they will do their best to be as close as possible to a regular time within a 2 hour window (which, as we know, sometimes minutes matter). So, if you're looking for a dog walking company - two paws up for Super Dog!

I am very protective of my dogs and my home and am very picky about who gets my keys. I interviewed a couple of companies before hiring Ginger (the owner). Unbeknownst to her, I have a nanny cam. So I know for sure that she followed my detailed instructions to a "T." She was on time, stayed the entire time she was paid to stay, friendly and patient with my dogs (one of them is aggressive towards strangers), and was conscientious about keeping things clean (taking off her shoes at the front door, wiping off the countertops when she finished feeding the dogs, etc). I don't give a "Woohoo! As good as it gets!" review very often. But since I have no complaints or suggestions for improvement, and I got more than my money's worth, I have no choice but to give her a perfect score.

She is professional, caring and it's a relief to have a trusted adult in our home in our absence. I'm a bit intrigued that Yelp allows this review, which does not at all address the services provided by The Dog Jog and allows others, which are more detailed about actual services provided, to go in the Yelp equivalent of a Spam Folder. If you live on the Northwest Side of Chicago, or Park Ridge, and you need pet sitting services, The Dog Jog is an excellent provider.

I love Lizzie's Dog Walkers!…read more Before I hired Lizzie and her team of dog walkers, I was very nervous; I had never before used a dog walking service. However, as my senior dog aged, I decided that it was time that she stretched her legs a bit during the day and have the opportunity to use the bathroom more often. The dog walking team is comprised of Lizzie, the owner, and her small team of dog walkers. They meet you and your pets at your home first, pick up keys, and go over any important information. They also leave a laminated informative sheet on which they leave notes about the day's walk, if they went poop or peed, if they got a treat, etc. They are also always reliable. I have been using this service for approximately 6 months and they have never once been late or had to cancel. Rates are very reasonable- it is about $17 for two dogs a day. They give them a full 20-30 minute walk, give them treats and fresh water, give meds if need be, etc. It is so easy to contact them with any questions or concerns; I don't know how they normally contact customers but I do most of my communicating with them through texts. They immediately respond to my questions, are always flexible, and if they have a question during the walk/day they don't hesitate to send me a quick text for clarification. I highly recommend Lizzie's Dog Walkers. Although the website isn't up and running, please don't let this deter you. Give Liz a ring and set up a meet and greet and give your dog a little extra exercise each week. You and your furry friend will be glad that you did!

Lizzie's Dogwalkers is the best!!…read more I was initially apprehensive about allowing strangers into my house, but after my first visit with Liz, I felt totally comfortable. She is professional, warm and most importantly, an obvious dog lover. Liz's team is responsible. I have been using her service for 2 years and she has never once cancelled or been late. I have never come home after their visit and found an extra light on, a dirty water bowl, or any other issue. Their prices are fair. They are flexible with schedule changes. They leave detailed notes or texts letting you know how the visit went. They leave little treats and gifts for the dogs at different holidays and organize play dates a couple times a year. One of our dogs was a rescue with abuse in his past. In the beginning, he would refuse to allow anyone else to leash him. She and her team were so patient with him. They worked tirelessly to build his trust so he could be walked with our other dog. I credit her and her dog walkers with a huge part of the turnaround in his behavior. They really went above and beyond. We have also used her team to stay at our house and dogsit overnight. Again, everything went perfectly. Liz is a small business owner who is doing everything right. I could not more highly recommend this service.

I haven't ever left my dog for a night since adopting him but I know that when I finally do I'll trust Liza to watch him. I am seriously so grateful to my neighbor that referred me. On multiple occasions she has misinterpreted my intent and sent me either page long texts or emails describing her feelings about something I said or did that she didn't like for various reasons. She is far too quick to fly off the handle before getting clarification. I thought this was a professional relationship but I have ended up spending way too much of my time having to manage communication. This is where things unraveled... On Aug. 19th, Liza texted me to say that her schedule slows down around 3-4pm and said that if I wanted regular walks for my dog, she can do them for really cheap. I didn't need the walks but figured "why not" since they were so cheap. This is key. I did not need the walks. I did not ask for the walks. Had she not approached me, I wouldn't have ever done these walks. We decided on every Wednesday. On Sept. 12th, Liza texted me that she couldn't do the walk due to a personal matter. I said fine. We had, however, scheduled walks for the next three days, so the next day I texted her to confirm she could still do those scheduled walks. My partner and I were concerned that she may need more time to deal with the personal matter and just wanted to make sure we didn't need to find another walker. In fact, this is exactly what I said "Good morning. Hope you're feeling better. So we have you lined up for the next three days and I just need to know if I can depend on you being able to walk the pups because we won't be able to come back to take care of them. If you're not feeling up to it, I completely understand. Just need to know so that I can make other arrangements if need be." Instead of just getting a yes or no, I received a text saying that she doesn't think she has done anything in the past to make me think she is unreliable and then jumped to the conclusion that I may want to completely terminate the service, asking me if I wanted my key back. It was really confusing and total overkill for what I thought was a simple text confirming service. I clarified by saying that this isn't what I meant and that I just wanted to know if she needed more time to deal with the personal matter. I got a long response about how everyone needs to take time off sometimes and that if I wanted recommendations for a different walker, she could provide them. Again, I WAS COMPLETELY FINE WITH THE TIME OFF AND NEVER SAID OTHERWISE. So once I again said I was just making sure, she confirmed service and completed service. I then asked for vacation pet-care in October and we arranged for such care. Yesterday I got an email saying we need to change our Wednesday's to another day because she is now overbooked. Since I didn't need those walks to begin with, I said we could just not do them. I got an email back about how she's been so good to me and given discounts but that apparently they haven't been well received so maybe we should just do standard rates from now on. I was fine with this so I responded with, "sounds like a plan." The reply I got was whether she should remove the October vacation care that we had previously scheduled. WTF. I responded that I don't see why we would do that since my plans hadn't changed but considering this weird communication that it might actually be for the best. The reply I got was very lengthy and went on to say how ungrateful I was and how generous those cheap Wednesday walks (THAT I DID NOT NEED OR SEEK OUT) were; she states that she offered that price to work with my limited budget. Again, WTF. See above. THEN she told me my entitlement was something she chose not to deal with and was now forced to terminate the relationship. Thought that's what I had just done but ok. I've had breakups with romantic partners that weren't this dramatic. If you choose to go with Pokey, I recommend you tread lightly and be very careful with what you say and how.
