Last year they were very generous, this year the portion was a bit smaller, but still very delicious. I tried the camel empanadas which came with a delicious sour sauce. For main dish, I had the grill watermelon chicken. The chicken was very tender and had a spicy sweet taste. For my dessert I tried the cake with was very rich in flavor and sweet. I loved it!

Other than that, the food was great. I sampled a few items of the apps that people ordered. From what I can remember, the truffle fries really stood out. For my entree, I got the chopped elk medium cooked. It was fantastic. Very delicious and almost tasted like a really beefy meatloaf. Not gamey at all. The sauce drizzled on it was so savory. I wished there were more mashed potatoes underneath because those were amazing too. It was also a very big portion. Definitely recommend. Would come back again and try something else or even order that again.

My friend treated me to a birthday lunch this week and when we got to the table, the staff had a birthday card waiting for me! How thoughtful! We came during happy hour and decided to try a few small plates and drinks. The Egg Rolls are a must! They were packed with flavor and a variety of ingredients. My friend especially loved the shrimp. We also tried the quesadillas and sliders on the happy hour menu. Both dishes tasted incredible! Sadly, though the happy hour has half priced apps, the plates are also half sized. They were absolutely delicious, but the dishes felt overpriced for the portion size. As for drinks, I tried the sangria flight. I wasn't expecting such a full portion size and was pleasantly surprised with that. I did, however, only find 2 of the 4 drinks to be especially tasty. I wouldn't order that flight again, but would be interested in their wine offerings. I loved the low lighting in the space as it set such a calm and laid back mood. Overall, I enjoyed my experience and especially loved the food! Totally recommend.

The birria arancini was amazing and the churrasco made me want to wine with joy. The kitchen completely crushed every single dish. The Atmosphere. The noise level was out of a different barrel entirely. Calling the dining room "lively" is a stretch--it was downright deaf-ening. You really have to strain to hold a conversation, and we left feeling completely vocal-cord drained. It's a pour-fect spot for your tastebuds, even if your ears feel a bit decanted by the end. Go for the incredible food, but bring earplugs if you want to chat!

We had reservations and they greeted us outside like family …read more Our table was a nice booth and our server Salene greeted us right away . She gave us the menus and answered our questions and gave suggestions . We had looked at the menu before arriving so had a good idea what we wanted . I started with a cocktail ( a smoked Notorious Fig ) very good My husband was pleased with their beer selection . We ordered a appetizer (the goat cheese croquettes ) very good Our entrees were the Mahi and the Braised short ribs . We love to share . They both did not disappoint. The restaurant also helped to celebrate our anniversary with complimentary champagne and a decadent dessert ( the cookies and cream cheesecake ) worth every calorie Dustin the manager came by to see how things were going and also shared some of the history behind the restaurant. Love this extra touch . After dinner we went upstairs to have a drink at the bar . The atmosphere and ambiance of the place was amazing . You saw young and old some families . They have outside seating as well . Beautifully done . We will be back !!

After getting a gift card, I went the same day to enjoy an early dinner. This was on a Saturday…read moreevening and our table for 2 was seated right away. This location is cute with an open floor plan, black and white photos, many tvs, and an open kitchen. I started the evening off with an espresso martini. For the bar only having about 3 people and the restaurant not full, I was surprised at how long it took to get the drink. It was a pretty good martini. Our server was very nice. Let's get to the food. For an appetizer, we started with the grilled cheese brisket sliders. The brisket wss juicy and I enjoyed the dipping sauce that was paired with it. For entrees we got the 6oz bistro steak and the classic tavern burger. The steak was cooked great and the sauce on top was delicious. The meal comes with veggies and potatos. I asked for the chickpea fries instead of the potatos. I was shocked to see the bill at the end that I was charged the full amount for a side item of chickpea fries. I get an upcharge for a more premium side but I did not get the potatoes that come with the meal to have the chickpea fries instead. Also the chickpea fries have a much mushy texture now than they used to in the past. The burger was decent with no complaints there.

The cocktails I selected were not all that strong, but they were visually appealing. I absolutely loved the Buffalo Rock Shrimp. It had the perfect amount of spicy kick. We ordered an additional one since it was such a hit. The edamame is addictive. The only dish that fell flat for me was the Coco Roll. Nothing special really. Our server Lucy was hardworking and provided stellar service. She guided me to try their rośe sake, Amabuki, which was beautifully light, crisp and smooth. Lucy had us laughing and feeling good. We would love to be served by her again. This location is artistically styled inside with eye-catching Asian touches. It gets busy and ends up being somewhat noisy, but we could still hear each other at our corner table. The intimate lighting creates a sophisticated aura. Soon I'll return for their brunch since it has received rave reviews.

Amazing Happy Hour with Creative Sushi & Cocktails…read more Sushi Pop exceeded our expectations! Their happy hour is one of the best in the area, with a fantastic selection of sushi, small plates, and handcrafted cocktails at great prices. Everything we ordered was delicious, beautifully plated, and tasted incredibly fresh. Some of our favorites were the crispy sushi tacos, which had the perfect crunch and were topped with creamy avocado, fresh herbs, and flavorful sauces. The bao bun was soft, fluffy, and packed with tender, savory meat and crisp pickled vegetables. We also tried several sushi rolls, including spicy and fresh fish options, and every bite was well-balanced and high quality. The tuna dish was exceptionally fresh and melted in your mouth. The cocktails were just as impressive--creative, refreshing, and beautifully garnished. They're definitely worth trying during happy hour. It was the perfect spot to enjoy drinks with friends while sharing a variety of dishes. The atmosphere is modern, stylish, and sophisticated while still feeling comfortable and casual. It's ideal for date night, girls' night, or a fun evening out. The staff was welcoming, attentive, and knowledgeable, making the entire experience even better. Overall, Sushi Pop delivers outstanding food, excellent drinks, beautiful presentation, and exceptional service. We had an amazing experience and will definitely be back. Highly recommend checking out their happy hour--you won't be disappointed!

Stopped into City Pho off University Boulevard and came away very satisfied with a delicious bowl…read moreof chicken and flank pho accompanied by pork and shrimp summer rolls. I started with the summer rolls, which were well prepared and generously filled with plenty of fresh ingredients wrapped in that pleasantly chewy rice paper. They came with the traditional peanut dipping sauce, which was good on its own, but I always add a few squirts of Sriracha to mine. It adds just enough heat to wake things up without overpowering the peanut flavor. The chicken and flank pho was the star. The broth was clear, clean tasting, and well balanced, providing plenty of flavor without being overly heavy or salty. The chicken was tender, there was a generous amount of flank, and plenty of noodles made this a hearty and satisfying bowl. Of course, part of the fun of pho is making the bowl your own. The usual assortment of accompaniments arrived alongside, Thai basil, bean sprouts, sliced jalapenos, lime, and culantro. I usually expect cilantro, but the culantro provided a similar herbal punch with a little more intensity. After adding the basil and sprouts, squeezing in some lime, tearing up the culantro, and dropping in a few jalapenos, everything came together into a flavorful and nicely balanced soup. The restaurant itself is bright, clean, and inviting. Service throughout the meal was attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu, which is always appreciated when there are plenty of combinations and options to choose from. Sometimes a restaurant doesn't need a gimmick or elaborate presentation, it just needs to execute the basics well. City Pho did exactly that. Fresh summer rolls, a flavorful bowl of pho, attentive service, and a comfortable atmosphere. I'll gladly return when the next pho craving hits.
