They hardly tried to even keep things well organized or labels, nearly all my glass items were broken, top glass table went missing for my entryway table never go delivered, my large poster frame was damaged and corner with glass was broken, a big four picture long way frame was never delivered. Still finding things damaged, really bad communication want to argue commited dates. I wish I had read Chi-C's March 3, 2026 review. Their story is like mine, except, after 23 days of waiting, I have no delivery. Here is my moving story with this company: I booked my move with America First Moving (John Capella) with a contract for March 17th. I expected a decent truck with skilled movers who would take care of my items. My experience was dismal and nothing in the contract or what was communicated to me has held true. On March 17th, a series of phone calls from movers (Bristol Movers) occurred, stating there was bad weather and that they would be late, which they were at least 6 hours late. I had missed a day of work for this move. I could understand bad weather, stating they were coming from NJ. They reported driving through a "flood" area. Please note - America First Moving is located in FL. Upon arrival, Moustafa (crew head - Bristol Moving , NJ) claimed my items occupied twice the allotted space and wanted to double the cost. They offered to take some of the items. I protested, having signed the contract with American First Moving on March 4. I told them this was an all-or-nothing move. Either they took everything for the quoted price or nothing. After calling their contact, they agreed to take everything. When asking for a date of delivery, Moustafa stated delivery within a week. I flew to GA anticipating delivery - it never comes. Thus starts a series of unsuccessful phone exchanges with Bristol Moving to try and get my items deliverd. When it came to the promises of America First Moving about the care of my items, all lies. Bristol had no boxes for my TVs or art. They wrapped some dirty blankets over my items, except the artwork. The artwork went out in their hands. Please know the art frame alone is worth over $300, a floating glass frame, - very fragile, left me with the mover holding it by the frame loading it on their truck. I hoped for the best. Needless to say, Bristol never arrived with my items. I'm in GA on the second promise of delivery, at the 21st contract day mark. Nothing. Jasmine the supervisor stated they would compensate me for the delay, but had no date of delivery. Now daily calls. I have called America First Moving company who brokered delivery and now Bristol (Nate with Bristol) daily. It must be hard for him to try to keep face with poor business practices. I receive nothing but apologies. I talk with Nate's supervisor, Jasmine, nothing but negative responses from her. I still do not have my items moved. Nate discloses that my items are in storage in NJ and that they have not been able to get my items to me. So disappointed with all of these folks, but I blame America First Moving the most because they sold a good story, backed by a contract, that they then sold to someone else. America First Moving got their payment and now cares nothing about the plight I'm engaged in trying to get my items to their destination. The next movers of Bristol (Moustafa) got their payment as well. No delivery. I have never worked with such unprofessional movers. Never use them, and don't trust them. I have no idea how I will get my items returned or to GA. Don't trust a word John Capella (America First) says. He lied. Nothing he said was true. I now know this. Don't trust anything representatives from Bristol say. They try to get you to do a review before delivery. Don't do that. The completed job is what counts. I can't say what this move is costing me because it is not finished. The initial cost was reasonable, but the bait-and-switch tactics and the failed deliveries have cost me thousands more dollars at this point and I still do not have my items. read more

Consumer be warned! This company is awful. They 'lost' our very expensive dresser, and took no responsibility for it. A $4000 piece of furniture that was filled with irreplaceable personal effects and they wouldn't give us a dime for their mistake. Not only that, they destroyed our 200 year old cherry kitchen table. And rather than just give it back to us damaged they were sneaky and tried to fix it, by putting ugly glue in the hand carved dovetail feet and putting screws through the table top. I'm a woodworker, I could have restored it beautifully and wouldn't have even been that upset at having a project. But their "repair" ruined the thing beyond repair. They refused any responsibility for their mistakes and even though they're supposedly insured, we never got a penny for the more than $8000 in missing and damaged good. Deceptive Practices & Terrible Experience with Bristol Moving & Storage LLC I booked my move through Paramount Van Lines, thinking they were the actual moving company. Turns out, they were just a broker disguising themselves as movers. On moving day, Bristol Moving & Storage LLC showed up instead. Right away, they told me that Paramount had underquoted the volume needed for my move and that I would need double the space--meaning I had to pay double the original estimate. Up until this point, I thought Paramount was the shady one, but I soon realized Bristol was just as bad. I told the movers to take whatever fit in my originally quoted volume, expecting them to pick up around 50-70% of my stuff. I specifically asked them to load large furniture items like my bunk bed first. They completely ignored my request, clearly not wanting to spend effort on disassembly. Instead, they picked a few boxes, my sofa, and a dining table, then told me my space was full. In reality, they took less than 20% of my belongings. At that moment, I realized their scam--they either wanted double the money or weren't going to take anything substantial. I had no choice but to pay, and once I did, they magically fit 80% more just by doubling the volume. Well played, Bristol Movers. When my stuff arrived, the experience didn't improve: One of my TV stands was badly damaged due to poor packing, and they blamed it on the table's quality. Some boxes and mattresses were wet. They refused to reassemble my bed properly--I had to guide them 3-4 times on how to do it. They rushed to unload and leave, asking for extra money for carrying items to the second floor. They left behind all the packaging materials and didn't clean up anything. The only reason I'm giving them 2 stars is because my belongings arrived on time. They charged me a $3375 "Binding Fee" on top of the actual moving costs of $5400, $540 fuel surcharge, $500 for packing materials (they provided no packing materials), for a total of $9815 for a living room, kitchen, and two bedrooms. Had no choice but to pay as I had to be out of the house that day, and by the time they showed up 4 hours late it was too late to look for another mover. Original contract was for $2783. But he waits until half of my belongings are on the truck before he presents me with the new total with the "binding fee" added on, and basically holds my loaded possessions hostage until I sign the new invoice and make instant payment. read more

My experience with Bristol Moving & Storage was extremely disappointing from start to finish. The customer service was almost nonexistent, and communication was terrible throughout the entire moving process. When the company experienced delays picking up our household goods, no one from Bristol bothered to contact us. Every time I called for an update, I was put on hold and told someone would call me back--but they rarely did. Their pricing was also a mess. They asked me to guess how many boxes we had for a 2,400 sq ft home, and based on that, they sent a truck that was far too small. As soon as the driver walked in, he told me we'd need another truck and that I had to pay immediately. When I called the broker for help, they refused to get involved and said it was "between me and the moving company." We were closing in three days and had no choice but to pay. I also wasn't told that my delivery would be split into multiple shipments. The first truck arrived quickly and those items were fine, but the driver had no idea when the rest of our belongings would show up. Once again, Bristol wouldn't help--same answer: "It's between you and the movers." After several more "next Friday" promises, the remainder of our goods finally arrived 18 working days later. The driver himself was great, but everything else about the experience was unacceptable. Bristol Moving & Storage should seriously reconsider calling themselves a relocation service. I dont even know where to start. first of all I went through global elegance, moving company out of Boca Raton, Florida. I didn't know they were a brokerage company so all they do is get their cut and give the job to whomever take it. Spoke to global elegance. I told him what I had. I have 28 boxes three wardrobe boxes, two ladders in a mirror and they told me you have less than 300 ft.³. But they were gonna charge me 307 ft.³ for extra just in case I said OK . Mind you I'm an engineer and I deal with numbers and measurements all day long.the day the company was coming to pick up the boxes the foreman right off the rip said you got more than 300 ft.³ I said I measured everything 6 feet high 5 feet wide 10 feet length came out 300 ft.³ a measuring tape does not lie. We kept going back and forth they ended up charging me 480 ft.³ they had my boxes hostages and I just wanted to get the job done and over with these are the biggest scammers the biggest crooks I've ever seen they charge you if they have to walk over 50 feet. charge you if the truck can't be parked in front of the house and they look for any reasons to charge you for something. Fast-forward two weeks later they are supposed to deliver my boxes between 10am and 1 pm they called me up 15 minutes before and said we won't be there till four or at 5 o'clock. I got a call that they won't be there till now eight or nine pm I live in HOA that is unacceptable and they will not allow it. Now they want come and do it on a Sunday once again that's an issue with the HOA and now they want tom charge me $1000 for an overnight stay my bill went from $1800-$2800. One thing I will tell you is they will charge for all the space from top to bottom and from side to side but they won't let you stack that way. I told the driver if I go rent a moving truck they won't tell me that I can't stack my stuff to the ceiling . Do yourself a favor and make sure if you move you do not go through a broker go directly to a moving company. This company is the worst of the worst and I can't believe they're still in business. ZERO RATING!!!!! Bate and switched. I contracted with America First Moving Services on 2/3/26 for job number (A2362878) to move my belongings from Fairfax va to sparks nv between 2/5 or 2/6/26. On day of my move another moving company called Bristol Moving and Storage showed up, unbeknownst to me, and double the price. After much discussion with this one, rude, aggressive, unprofessional man that showed up to move my property, I went along with his demands, as my flight was that evening. My property did not arrive until 2/28/26, after much pleading and begging for delivery. Upon delivery half my belongings are, damaged and/or missing. Neither company gave an explanation as to the delay in delivery. I believe the length of time my belongings were in transition also contributed to my missing and damaged properties. This moving company also left boxes belonging to others at my place, which I notified them about, and nothing was done. I am extremely worried about some of my boxes missing as they contained very sensitive and personal information. Bristol charged us for 4,800 cubic feet when our shipment clearly occupied less than two trucks. At full capacity, one truck holds about 2,100 cubic feet, which was also the amount in our original estimate from Amerisafe, their moving broker. As a result, we ended up paying nearly $20,000 above the original estimate. At delivery, Bristol claimed they could not fit the truck into our neighborhood and attempted to impose an additional $4,000 charge. After repeated complaints to Amerisafe, these charges were reduced to 4,000 cubic feet and $700 respectively. Even so, our goods arrived several days later than promised, with no reasonable explanation. Although Bristol's initial packing seemed careful, they moved our items multiple times between trucks, causing several pieces to arrive damaged beyond repair. Communication between Amerisafe and Bristol was ineffective throughout, and neither company took responsibility or acted proactively to resolve issues. Many reviews of this company report similar concerns about inflated charges and unethical practices. Do not use this company. If you must hire a moving broker (not recommended), at least ensure they do not use Bristol. read more

Bristol Movers in Jersey was easily the worst customer service I have experienced in my entire life. (We dealt with Zaza) Keep in mind these people were carrying all of my family's belongings. We paid our down payment half card and half cash. Np. We call less then 2 weeks later and said we were ready and have a place. They arrive 5 days later with a truck half the size of the original truck our things were packed in. Only to open it and see all of our things crammed into one side of the truck and another familys to the other. So we gather our payment and hes on the phone telling us in front of this moving truck and his driver in our driveway that they DO NOT accept CC. Attached is out receipt saying all forms of payments accepted and not one box was checked off. Zaza is still on the phone and he starts saying that if we don't have his money in cash app or zelle he will auction it and send it to a storage co and we would have to go get our belongings ourselves. He's screaming into the phone he doesn't care repeatedly in front of his driver and my family. He talked to us with no respect and hatefullness for no reason whatsoever. The truck our things which was packed into a DIFFERENT VEHICLE and then the company CANCELS the movers coming to unload the truck into the house. So now we're waiting outside for HOURS for the new movers to arrive. They showed up at 12:30 and didn't leave until 6pm. Moving is ALREADY A HEADACHE. These people made everything 10x harder. This company was brokered out, from a moving company. The initial driver upcharged a "bonded and guaranteed quote" from original moving company. We did walk through with driver before move started, counted boxes, identified items to be loaded, etc. The "bonded quote", at end of day, (goods on truck), was crossed out and driver began the convincing of "upcharge". Please note; My husband was a "pricing optimization specialist" at a major distribution company. We were held "hostage" to pay for additional amount. Also, "reaching out", for a return phone call, from original booking mover, went unanswered and no resolve. We have read our "rights and responsibilities", pamphlet, given in contract to clients, per industry standards. We have phoned, spoke to/emailed Bristol and "original moving company", who brokered Bristol for "answers repeatedly." We paid over $6300.00 for 627 cubic feet. Noted items; A 10 ft ladder and blow up paddle board, went missing, damaged top right corner of sideboard, damage edges of concrete table, damaged legs of dining table, dining chairs also with black residue/dirty marks on upholstery, from truck, and Bistro chair legs damaged. *Furniture was to be properly wrapped with blankets/cardboard per "*bonded contract", to insure a prevention of damage to (new) furniture. Rugs were "dragged" across bottom of truck leaving black residue/dirty marks, from truck bed. The delivery driver, at end point, did not have additional person, to unload truck. My husband was the additional "help" at unload. It was stated by driver, that the Bristol, could not find uploader, that day. *I may add that my husband "helped" on *"load day" and "unload" day. This, again, was not in *bonded contract. Please note, *We paid an additional $2300.00 for "bonded and guaranteed fee", with original moving Company. Bristol driver changed that, at initial loading day. To be more specific, we had closed escrow on home we were moving from. You are held "hostage, no return help', from original moving comany who brokered Bristol. There is ongoing dispute is with the credit card company, the original moving company and brokered moving company, Bristol. We had a terrible,experience,with this company. They showed up in a truck in terrible condition, front bumper falling off, bad tires, etc., and demanded an extra $3000 to load our stuff. I refused that, literally did not have it to give him. They got it loaded quickly, since they brought 6 people, but as soon as the truck hit 1650 cubic feet, they refused to load anything else. The deal we made was for a full 26 foot truck! We had to leave a lot of our belongings in the garage, with the house for sale. Fortunately, our load was given to a different crew and company out of Coral Gables to drive and unload, they were very professional and did not ask for any more money. From getting an end total that was double than the estimate, to rude behaviour, hounding people for money before the delivery and refusing to bring in goods until a bank employee confirmed money was send... These guys hounded us for money after doubling the quote on a Sunday! We have been cursed out, with the manager using profanities over a recorded line with the bank on a three way call, to yelling at us in the street at our new address. The gig-workers this man and his manager hired for the delivery were hands down embarrassed to be seen with him. Being pregnant and during a heat wave, "distressed" was an understatement. We found out later our bed wasn't even screwed back together!!! I was in the army for over 20 years and moved every two to three years. I have never experienced a move as bad as this. A $2500 Japanese block print disappeared/never was delivered. Multiple glass on picture frames were broken due to poor packing. The antique Japanese dolls were just thrown into a box and one head was broken. They tracked paint onto my floors and also scratched the wood floors. Bristol movers of NJ also said that my goods wood be stored in a temperature controlled environment and when we received our boxes it was obvious they were not. They boxes had collapsed on themselves and my clothes had mold on them. I have just posted several examples but there was so much more. They broke all four legs off my buffet. James, the mover stated well one broke off so they took the other four off. This company also charged us double of what the original quote was. We got them through Eagle movers and they blamed them. I would never use Eagle or Bristol movers again. If you are wise you would not either. We did not choose these...people. We chose Eagle Moving Group, and they farmed out our move to Bristol. What a disaster. We knew the approximate measurement of our load from the originating warehouse. Bristol claimed that the load was 50% larger than the actual cube, because "they were professional movers, and it would be irresponsible to pack the truck to the top," so we needed to pay an extra $2000 for the empty space at the top of the truck. At this point the truck was loaded with our stuff, so we had no recourse. After providing our credit card details, Bristol attempted to charge 10x the correct number to the card, triggering a fraud alert at the bank. While speaking with their owner, to fix the payment problem HE caused, he started screaming at the top of his lungs. Thirty years in business and I've never seen anyone behave like this. It was surreal. The first thing I did after dealing with these guys was cancel my credit card to prevent them from attempting to defraud me again. To summarize, this company WILL defraud you. My friend and I hired Bristol / EZ Movers for an interstate move from Brooklyn, NY to Nashville, TN. Our experience using Safe Ship was awful and therefore we would like to request a full refund. On the day of the move, the driver showed up and did a physical inspection of our belongings and gave us a "worst-case scenario" estimate. For context, our initial quote was for 378 cf which then jumped up to 456 cf after adding those additional items. After his inspection, he told us that based on the amount of stuff that we had, he would quote us on 1000 cubic feet (cf). Once all of the items were loaded into the truck, the driver then revised his estimate and said that we actually only took up 900 cf resulting in a new total cost of $5,760. Not only was this significant increase in cost unexpected compared to our initial quote, but also this placed a huge financial burden on us by more than doubling our base-line estimate. On the day of the delivery in Nashville, we met the driver outside of our apartment building where we directed him to park the 18-wheeler in the alley where we could unload everything safely. After looking at the alley, the driver said that the truck would not fit and grew frustrated and impatient with us. We told him that we had spoken with building management and made sure that he would be able to pull the truck into the alleyway, but he did not feel comfortable doing this. He told us that we would not be able to do the exchange outside of the apartment building. Instead, he told us we had to meet at a different location and use a shuttle to deliver our belongings back to the building. He told us that he could run out and rent a U-Haul truck which would cost us an additional $900 or that we could rent one ourselves and it would cost roughly $100. Not wanting to sink any more money into this move, we had no choice but to run out and rent a U-Haul then meet the driver at a truck stop outside the city limits to do the exchange. Keep in mind that the driver was getting more and more frustrated with us and kept telling us that we needed to hurry and that time was of the essence as he had another job to get to. He also said that we couldn't rent anything that was less than a 26 ft truck because our belongings would not fit. Uncomfortable and still processing everything that was going on, one of the movers drove us to go to a nearby U-Haul. We had no idea who this person was, where we were headed to and what part of town we were driving to. We had just moved to the city two days prior. When we got to the U-Haul location, we asked if there were any 26 ft trucks available but since we didn't have a reservation, the only truck that was available was a 15 ft truck. We were then notified that the location we had originally decided to meet at had changed and now we would be meeting at a Walmart parking lot. In addition, it is ridiculous that there was no communication to the driver about the building and whether or not he would be able to fit the truck. This was shocking when we heard it and we had to scramble to get a U-Haul to shuttle our belongings to our apartment. When we got to the Walmart parking lot, we started doing the exchange between the truck and the U-Haul. This process took much longer than expected because the driver claimed that all the blankets wrapped around our items were his and he needed us to remove all blankets and coverings from our furniture and bulky items before they entered our U-Haul. This left all of our belongings more susceptible to damage and put the movers at a greater risk for breaking anything. Due to the driver's demeanor of rushing us along, we had no time to inspect each large box to ensure that all of our items were accounted for. However, once the driver confirmed everything had been moved out of the truck, we truly believed everything was accounted for. We were also pleasantly surprised that all of our belongings had fit into the 15 foot truck with room to spare, not having to do multiple trips to and from the Walmart parking lot due to the size of the truck like we were told. This was interesting because although we were quoted at 900 cf, a 15 foot U-Haul truck only has 764 cf and yet we still had extra room. This is reason to believe that there is substantial doubt in the way the estimate was calculated. Once the move was finally over and we began unpacking our boxes and belongings, it was clear there were several missing items, including valuable possessions. Several of these missing items include: Duffle bag full of clothes A full length mirror Bose headphones (which I presume to have been stolen) Electric Razor Broken coffee mugs, broken bowls and also chipped furniture U Haul rental Watch Although we did not choose to work with Bristol / EZ Movers from the beginning, we expected professionalism and outstanding service for the amount of money we paid. This company is the worst moving experience ever. after twenty years I. the military and several moves after, this company in conjunction with national movers are absolute crooks, initally they quotes me a price and when Bristol Movers showed up they double it, they had no boxes no tape, the workers fought with the guy that says he is " just the driver" and they left, so he had no help, so my wife had to drive him to Lowes to get boxes while we sat and waited for a new crew to come, the truck they sent wasnt big enough, then on delivery they cussed out my wife and threaten to leave with all of our stuff and charge us another thousand, they hold you hostage, go with a different company not national or Bristol.....everything is damaged so I just wanted all my money, I have to replace everything..... read more

I could give negative stars if I could. I've never dealt with worse customer service than with this company who made my move a living hell. I had paid a deposit through Zelle after constant harassment by the main contact (who called me repeatedly on Father's Day (Sunday) two days before my move pick up to demand I Zelle him the deposit). On the actual delivery day, he refused to complete the move because even though the Zelle was sent, he for some reason hadn't received it yet. I had shown him the confirmation of the Zelle being sent but he sat outside with his truck refusing to move anything inside while my pregnant wife called the police to help rectify the situation. I demanded to speak to his manager who literally cursed me out (telling me to STFU and to call Obama if I wanted to call the police) and demanded a three-way call with MY BANK to confirm again that I had sent the Zelle payment even though I sent the confirmation number of the payment. Only after my bank confirmed what I said over the phone, did he tell his movers to complete the move. The main contact and his manager were TERRIBLE to deal with and I want to make sure anyone who reads this is aware of what they might encounter with this company. DO NOT USE. read more

Bristol Moving & Storage (Dallas, TX) was the worst service possible. The driver Ahmed, was late, inaccurate, charged twice as much as quoted, argued for 2 hours before loading, stayed til 1 am. I should have fired him on the spot but customer service talked me out of losing my $2,200 deposit. Driver was disrespectful to me as a woman, rude, told his loaders they could not talk to me, did not provide a viable receipt after I paid twice as much as quoted. Delivery was similar as he added on a $1,200 delivery fee for a street that was clear and accessible for delivery. All at his discretion just to get more money from me. If he couldn't drive on a normal road perhaps he should ot have had a license. I spent hours on the phone with customer service trying to navigate as the rude driver was so contentious. My goods got moved on to at least 4 trucks that I know of before delivery. Many goods, damaged, items broken to unusable, and my shark vacume not delivered at all. Disaster from start to finish. Avoid this company like the plague--especially a driver named Ahmed. 15 other moves with little difficulty and minimal damage: this move was a NIGHTMARE EXTRAORDINIRE!!
