Some members of our party love barbecue, others don't, and the menu provided great options for the bbq lovers and a few solid options for those that don't. Not at all necessary but so kind, and very appreciated. They have a very extensive selection of whiskey and bourbon, with some good rare ones too! This was my first time coming to Bristol and I can already say I will most definitely be coming back! It is a whiskey bar, which I am not a whiskey gal, but the atmosphere was so cozy. I came here as a Yelp member for their bingo night. I was able to bring a friend and we both received a complimentary cocktail and banana pudding. It was such a steal! When you enter, you walk up to the host stand. She was so nice and welcoming. It was bingo night and it was pretty packed. My friend and I were able to sit at the bar where you can still receive full service. The bartender got us water right away. They have so many drink options so it was hard to pick a drink. I ended up getting the pear margarita and my friend got the mulled berry cider. The margarita was absolutely delicious where you can taste the pear pure and lime juice, but also a hint of the tequila. The cider was not really a "cider." It was good, but it was more blueberry and with a hint of cinnamon. Not necessarily my favorite, but still good! I put in a food order for the hot links and a side of waffle fries. It did take a while for me to get my food, but it was really packed. It was nice that it was bingo night so I was distracted with bingo while waiting for my food. I got it about 25 minutes later and I was surprised it came with a cold slaw, pickles, and saltine crackers. It was a cute set up! The waffle fries were portioned small for my personal taste, but it was absolutely delicious! It was piping hot and super crunchy. LOVE it! The hot links was good, but the spicy definitely built up. I'm glad I got a side of their BBQ sauce to simmer down the heat. It is really spicy though so I felt like it did take away from the flavor of the sausage a little. I think my favorite thing on the plate were the pickles. It wasn't too acidic and had just enough of a crunch. We ended up getting an extra side of the pickles. My first time at here was for a Yelp Elite event. It was a great time! We were invited back to try out their weekend brunch. My second time there was just as enjoyable! I went for their Sunday brunch. The place was packed and was reservation only besides the bar area. MAKE RESERVATIONS! I did not have a reservation so I sat at the bar. Which was fine by me, less people around. Their brunch buffet was amazing. They had so many delicious options to try. What a cool brunch spot! Came here for fuel before a football game. They don't do any bottomless drink specials (smartly) on game day. They got us right in and we had really fast service. We had a large crew and spit champagne bottles. They were up front on what they were out of (ribs till noon and cinnamon rolls). We had two people get the breakfast burrito (you can pick the meat). I've been wanting to try this place for some time now. After reading the menu I became really excited. Being a person who pretty much grew up on barbecue and seafood from the south I'm always interested in good barbecue and soul food. However I'm always cautious when I see restaurants trying to gourmet barbecue or gourmet a soul food dish A lot of times it takes the soul away from the dish. I've always said the soul of the food comes from the soul of the chef / pit master not So much of the ingredients or recipe. I tried the brisket. The brisket is the end all be all of any barbecue spot you go to. If their brisket is on point everything else falls in line. If their brisket is a five star everything else is 10 stars. I got the brisket collard greens cornbread potato salad coleslaw and just for fun the waffle fries. Well we'll start with the brisket. It was tender but it did not have a smoky flavor to it at all. It did not have that barbecue flavor that even 0° weather it reminds you of summer time sitting outside with a cold beverage smelling a smoke from the grill and tasting it. It didn't have that bark as we call it in New Orleans. That is the most favorable part and some people can't handle it because the bark or as we say debris has a strong strong hit of flavor that you can only get when it is barbecue slow low and out the doe. In Creole doe means door. This brisket collard greens potato salad cornbread and slaw the entire dish taste like a banquet barbecue. What I mean by banquet BBQ is everything had a bland flavoring. It didn't have that robust pop when you bite into it you go oh wow. It didn't remind me of barbecue green grass blue skies the smell of hickory oak pecan and applewood it gave me the feeling of banquet. now I know how I was different from a lot of places like Memphis Texas Louisiana and Kansas City Chicago but in most of those places whenever you get whatever it is coming out of a barbecue place they always include a piece of bread they didn't but it's okay. I was not impressed They were very friendly The place is clean If parking is an issue for you it might not be the kind of place you want to go to. Now for me usually when I walk into a barbecue spot you smell it inside I did not smell it inside They said the brisket will smoke for 18 hours I don't know what they smoked it with because there is no wood taste there is no bark flavor at all. Now I might go back and try happy hour and see how it is but as for now this is not a place I would take a friend from out of town who wants barbecue collard greens potato salad or cornbread. Again I always caution going to places who gourmet soul food or barbecue because you can't gourmet soul It just is what the chef / pit master is. read more

Both were incredible and my mouth is watering just talking about that sandwich! Their options are mainly chicken and barbecue, but everything sounded delicious! Great spot for brunch. We went on a Saturday before a buckeyes evening game and had no problem finding a table or parking out front. They offer bottomless mimosas, but it seemed a little pricey so we opted for the individual mimosa, which was still pricier than other brunch spots like Highbank or Knotty Pine. Chicken and waffles were great and the Nashville seasoning is pretty spicy. The gravy on the biscuits and gravy was different, but not terrible. We came here three years ago with a large party of 8 - no problems, food and service were excellent. Came her recently and had an awful experience. I do not know if it it the post covid work we live in and lack of work force, but this was truly awful. I think there was one waitress and one bartender for the whole restaurant. The service was slow, our food was dropped off and we were never spoken to again - not to check on our food, see if we needed anything. We filled our own water glasses from a nearby pitcher. The drinks from the bat we ordered with out after came after dinner. My husband and I have both worked in the restaurant industry. I waited tables for years at many restaurants while in college. My husband and our son were both dishwashers for a time. We get it. We get the industry. We tip well and have a lot of grace. This was just awful. The hostess checked my temperature before I walked in and I was really impressed but how safe they made their venue. The tables were all really far from one another and staff was all wearing masks. To be honest, this probably wouldn't be a typical place I would venture to (I am not a country girl by any means) but I was really charmed by how cute and nicely decorated the place was! I had a reservation for the Sunday brunch. It had been made for 10 and of course people aren't as prompt as they should be so it took a while for my whole party to arrive. My original server before shift change seemed a bit irritable that our party took a while to arrive which is fair but it left a bad taste in our mouths because it showed in the service. We'd all gotten the bottomless mimosas and they bring out quite a bit of juice which is nice! I ordered the French toast and it wasn't explained to me that it's fried so it was really crunchy and not very good but I'd ordered the breakfast burrito as backup and that was delicious! The tables I wish were a bit bigger cause even for 10 people after the buckets for mimosas and our food there was barely any elbow room at all. But, our replacement server was the sweetest. Never heard of this place but went with a couple of friends who had been there before. Loved the location in the Short North and the decor. Great vibe. Food is BBQ and portions are very big. I actually got the least BBQ thing on the menu a Buffalo Chicken sandwich asked them to make as a wrap, when they brought it to the table it looked small compared to what the others got but man did they stuff the wrap with chicken, I could only eat half of it. It was tasty, nice spice with not being too hot. My husband got a half rack of ribs that could have been enough for 4 people, baked beans were yummy. My only slight disappointment was they forgot the baked beans my husband ordered, and when my friend ordered the pulled pork, the sandwich came without BBQ sauce, I would have thought the waitress would have mentioned you need to specify if you want sauce and what kind. She did politely take care of the two issues, it just took a minute to get her attention she was busy. The place is worth a try especially if you like BBQ. read more

I booked a table with their Events Director Hannah for my birthday with some friends. The deal was too good not to utilize! Hannah went above and beyond to keep in communication with me and have everything ready for arrival. Once I arrived, the booth set up with the drinks I preordered and a display of ice and additions were nicely displayed. The server made drinks for the party and was even accommodating to my diabetic friend, getting a sugar free mixer for her to enjoy at the table. When we went on the dance floor, Hannah made sure the liquor was saran wrapped, which was a nice safety gesture for a group of girls who didn't want to be glued to the table and wanted to enjoy the music.
