Very attractive upscale restaurant/bar is very well appointed. Probably not the place to go to in Wranglers. This is simply a VERY GOOD restaurant. Had crab cakes, slightly spicy remoulade sauce served with fresh made garlic mashed potatoes and steamed asparagus. Was 1/2 price off on bottle for wine (A DEAL). They also have a reasonable twilight menu. Friend had a steak looked good, said it was perfect. Really good dessert tray. Diane was waitress--great!! My husband and I have made a ritual of going to Bristol every year for our anniversary. This year I was a little disappointed. Service was just okay, food was just okay. My shrimp was overcooked as was my rolls. The table next to us was filled with three couple in sweat pants and tennis shoes, not what we are used to seeing at this pricey of a restaurant. This place is amazing! Has the feel of a big city restaurant in St. Charles, and the service to go with it. I would recommend getting a reservation on the weekends, it got pretty busy on a Saturday night and unlike some places our table was ready at the time that we requested. I would agree with all of the other reviews on here, the duck flatbread is amazing, thought about ordering more... and the lobster mac n cheese was delicious. We also had the K. C. Strip, was cooked perfectly as requested and very well seasoned. The service is awesome. I have so many allergies and when I ordered the food, the manager made sure I got what I ordered. Being a vegan, I am picky about using the same oil for meat and fries. The order came with fries. When I asked if they used a separate frier, he honestly answered saying no. And he offered some green beans to go with. I said no because I didn't want to cause more trouble. But he came back with the steamed green beans and said 'I want to make sure you are taken care of'. That was a very sweet gesture. I live close to Bristol's and have been coming here for years. I have never had a bad meal here. Never. Not even mediocre. Favorites include the almond encrusted tilapia, the lobster mac 'n cheese and the chipolte grilled shrimp enchiladas. I also love their biscuits. Sunday brunch is wonderful too! Just had an excellent birthday dinner! It was my husband & my b.day. I had a 6 oz.. filet, lobster mac & cheese & grilled asparagus. EVERYTHING was expertly prepared! If that wasn't good enough, they gave us comp. desserts for our days. I had the chocolate lava cake with homemade hazelnut ice cream. SOOOOO good! My husband had surf and turf with Yukon gold potatoes and the cookie box. Everything was perfect. And our waitress really good also! Great experience all the way around. I liked the place but I didn't care for some of the food. I didn't care for the dinner salad and my steak was a bit dry. The the shrimp cocktail was fantastic though. I admit that I like my meat with little or no pink in it. I have found several restaurants that can cook it like that and not dry it out. This place couldn't do that. read more

Just went to Bristol's for my husband's birthday and we had a wonderful evening! The atmosphere was perfect for a special occasion- not too stuffy and not casual either. We came from work so we fit right in. Seemed to be a lot of work-related clientele there. We had a sushi appetizer which was delish. I had crab cakes (amazing) and he had the red pepper chicken penne pasta which I tried and that was also delicious. We also had to get a slice of the carrot cake since it's my husband's favorite! (I was going to make him one, but saw in the reviews that they had some, so that saved me some time!) Our server, Trina or Trista was really sweet and even put a candle in his dessert :) We'll definitely be coming back! We are new to the area and have finally found a decent restaurant for dinner! read more

I was disappointed. Although I am particular about my seafood, how it is prepare is always important. I ordered the Ahi Tuna. It was still cold in the middle. It needs to be brought to room temperature before searing, it's meant to be rare not raw. My wife order the lobster macaroni. It was full of shell bits. This is not a fast food restaurant. Take the necessary time to prepare the food. Also, I can understand items that are not local to be priced higher, but the entire menu was over priced. Both of these factors are why we do not eat at chain restaurants. They do not care about what they make, only making money. We will not be returning. read more

My wife and I celebrated our birthdays here on a Friday evening. The staff was very friendly and competent, especially our waiter, Kyle. He was attentive but not overly so. We used my Bristol's birthday coupon and totally enjoyed our power lunch. I ordered the fish tacos and baby spinach salad. Both were outstanding. The tacos were the best I've had in St. Louis. My dining partner ordered the shrimp wrap and lobster bisque, and was very pleased with both. My only suggestion would be to have other options to the accompanying French fries, which really didn't resonate well with the rest of our meals. My husband, granddaughter, and I ate here this week to celebrate my birthday. As always, the food was excellent. Since my granddaughter is 6 and not a fan of fish, our waitress was very accommodating and offered options that she might prefer. She ended up with the lobster mac and cheese--minus the lobster! The service was good, and it was a nice evening. The only "negative" was that it took a while before the waiter with the biscuits came around; they are usually at the table shortly after seating. Went to Bristol's for first time last night for a late dinner. Arrived around 8:30 and received excellent service all night. We started with the duck flatbread and I could have eaten just that for dinner. It was really good, had a little bit of a BBQ flavor and I loved the apples on top. My husband wished there was a little more duck but I thought it was perfect. Then we had lobster bisque and strawberry salad. The bisque was very good, made with real lobster. The salad was good but I wasn't too crazy for the dressing, a little too tart for me. For our entree's, I had the filet platter with panko fried shrimp. The steak was cooked correctly and the shrimp was very good. My husband had the ahi tuna with lobster Mac n' cheese and sweet potato hash. All was great. I also had a Carmel white Russian cocktail from the bar that was very good. We will definitely be returning and thought the food and service were well worth the price. read more

First time to Bristols and first impression they didn't have the steak that was on their menu which was out of stock within 10 minutes after we got there. No big deal COVID-19 we understand we like seafood as well. We got the seafood platter which came with two scallops two shrimps a piece of salmon in the mashed potatoes and asparagus as well as crab cake. The asparagus was burnt on the outside and under cooked and flavorless. The shrimp was way overcooked and flavorless. The mashed potatoes inedible tasted like cardboard. The salmon way overcooked and dry. The scallops pretty great except for the fact you only got 1-1/2 and for a 40$ meal not filling. The biscuits on the other hand were like bisquick but burnt and dry. Our waiter was amazing great customer service, except for the fact we paid full price over $60 for one meal and 2 beers and only ate terrible salmon 2 horribly dry biscuits, shrimp, some great but small scallops and two beers.. we gave him a good tip but a $60 dinner only enjoying bottled beer and 1-1/2 scallops very very disappointed read more

We love their happy hour-half priced appetizers like tuna tartar, calamari, smoked salmon flat bread. Their house red wine is delicious. We tried their Sunday brunch for the first time yesterday. It was amazing! The selection included smoked salmon, fresh oysters, at least half a dozen other seafood selections, Belgian waffles made to order, an omlet station, prime rib, and an impressive assortment of deserts, including my favorite-mini creme brule. Let me just start out by saying that I love Bristol's food and wait service. However, my biggest issue is with the restaurant manager. I have gone twice to the Bristol in O'Fallon and had difficulties using an email discount and dining certificate. Last year, I went for my birthday meal of $25 off an entree. Since I had not printed off the email, the restaurant manager didn't want to honor the discount. I was upset because the Bristol's off Olive would allow you to use your mobile to show the email. The manager indicated he needed to scan the barcode. I think the server felt bad for me so he gave me a free dessert but still I had not anticipated the additional $25 on my bill. I noticed this year that they allow you to show the birthday email on your mobile to receive the discount. Several weeks ago, my mother and I went to use my birthday discount to celebrate both of our October birthdays. I also had $100 is dining certificates that I had received from a charity function. The charity event had a Bristol's Restaurant basket for auction and I won it with my donation. My mom and I really enjoyed our birthday celebration and had no problems using the birthday discount along with $75 of the dining certificate. Yesterday, I went to use the email discount $20 of $50 food purchase. I had $25 dining certificate too. I thought...sweet, I can really enjoy myself with some oysters, lobster bisque and my favorite entree of seared scallops. The food was delicious as always. I enjoyed a glass of pinot noir and read a book on my iPad. My server, Jacob, was very attentive. Everything was very enjoyable except for when I tried to use the discount and my dining certificate together. Jacob indicated restaurant manager would not allow me to use both the discount and dining certificate together. He said the dining certificate was a donation and therefore, considered to be an 'additional' discount. I was upset because once again I hadn't expected to pay as much as I did. It seems like there is inconsistencies with using discounts/dining certificates if you get them from a charity event. I think these dining certificates should be clearly marked to indicate these are considered to be a discount and cannot be combined within any other discounts so there is no confusion. As much as I enjoy Bristol's...I don't think I will be going back to the one off Technology Drive which is closer to my house. I frequently visit the one off Olive for work luncheons and never had any problems using discounts/dining certificates. Again, the food and wait service is excellent at both locations. I'm just not fond of the restaurant manger at the Technology Drive location. read more

Seared scallops were quite good. Lobster risotto was excellent. The carrot cake I took back to my hotel. It was phenomenal. Pecan praline filling between the layers of cake and a very good frosting.
