The laundromat now has new management, who are absentee it appears; I have never seen them. Prices have almost doubled in the last six months and machines are still breaking down. This place is no longer worth going to. read more

This place is awful. The floor is in terrible shape, space is tight so you can barely get around with another person there, many of the machines are out of order, and there is nobody working when help is needed. I washed a few small rugs. The washer leaked and didn't spin the items. I had to spend another $3.50 at another machine to rewash and spin. If you can, go somewhere else. read more

This place is absolutely infuriating. 75% of the machines don't work. Two of the machines that did work stopped mid cycle and would not drain thus forcing me to take soaking wet clothes out of the machine and switch to another washer, for another $7.00. I cannot even begin to explain how frustrating this place is. There is no help, nobody on site and not answering the posted phone number to call for help. Do not come here. I will never be back. 3 stars is sufficient for this place. It wasn't disgusting but it's not super clean. There are like 3 spots to sit. It's a tiny place. The largest washers are not as large as other mats that I've been too but they are priced accordingly. It's a convenient location for people so it's fine. I have a washer and dryer in my house so I never go to laundry mats, but recently I wanted to wash a large quilt that wouldn't fit into my machine. I read a bunch of reviews on YELP and tried to find a laundry mat that seemed decent near my house (I have to admit - I am completely sketched out and disgusted by laundry mats...#sorryimnotsorry). However, I was pleasantly surprised by Brite Whites. There were a large variety of types of washing machines (triple loader, top loader, front loader, high efficiency) and plenty of machines. I used the triple loader which cost $4.25 for a load and then the dryers which were 25 cents for 6 minutes. It took about 36 minutes to dry my large quilt. The place was clean enough, could probably have had cleaner floors, but its winter so there is slush and snow etc. The machines were nice and clean. Also, I noticed there was a TV but it wasn't on, and there were security cameras. There was also a phone number posted on the wall to call in the event of emergency. Oh and - a private parking lot in the back (huge plus) as well as street parking out front. Overall I would recommend Brite Whites to others and would go back if I needed to. read more

My washer is broken, and I just went there to do my laundry. The counters and machines were clean, but the floor was very dirty and the trash was overflowing inside and outside. It needs a really good cleaning- I had to leave. read more

One of the two change machines did not work. It was crowded and despite a sign, several people were not wearing masks. There was no attendant. The washing machine did not spin and my laundry was so heavy with water that a stranger in the laundromat had to help me pull it out and take it outside to squeeze it out on the sidewalk, as there is no sink. It was still sodden when he helped me put it in the dryer and despite coin after coin on the highest head, it hardly made a dent. I won't be returning. read more

To confirm for everyone, the WiFi does NOT work. My iPhone says "unable to connect." This place has 4 triple-load machines. I had to wash a quilt and a large blanket, and the other 2 machines were being used. I felt bad when a bunch of other people came in looking to use the machines- looks like they are very popular. There are two change machines, an ATM, and two vending machines - one is snacks, one is drinks. No AC. Not a bad place, but next time I will try somewhere else. The parking is a big plus, and the reason I came here. I had 5 loads to do and needed to be able to park close! read more

This laundry is just down the street from me, but I stopped going there a couple of years ago because it is small and cramped. I started going the laundry about a half mile up the road in Lexington, but it closed recently, so I went back to Brite Whites. It was a disgusting experience. Filthy floors, dirty rags lying about, and still cramped. I gave them one star because at least the table for folding was clean. I won't be going back there again. read more

S'OK. After finally getting around to Extreme Laundry Day, and not being able to get to the laundromat I originally planned on going to, I ventured further up Mass Ave to Brite Whites. First thing I noticed: The actual laundromat. I was having a problem finding the placed I planned on going to because they didn't have a sign. Brite Whites is on the corner and has a can't-miss-me sign. Yay for signs. Inside was clean. I guess I am used to super industrial laundromats that have tremendous machines because their triple loaders didn't really wow me. I ended up using 3 of the 4 they had while the last was already occupied. Then I had to use 4 more washers, eating up all my extra quarters. 2 of my 3 big loads came out SOAKED. Now, there is a huge sign there that says not to use more than 1/4 cup soap because your laundry will have to go through an extra rinse cycle and not have enough time to spin out. Well, I know how to do laundry and I did not overload the machines or use too much soap, but still SOAKING, DRIPPING laundry. :( Their dryers seem a little older than most of their washers and really took FOREVER to dry my things. I ended up leaving with my comforters still wet because I ran out of quarters. They have some HE washers and it seemed like everything was in order the day I was there. A few people came in and out leaving me to believe that people felt safe leaving their laundry there. I never do that! After school got out there were a bunch of punk kids hanging out right out font, because, in case you didn't know, laundromats are totally hip. They were throwing snowballs at passing cars and just being generally obnoxious. Can't blame that on Brite Whites though. All in all, an OK experience. I probably will try another laundromat before coming back here, but it's not totally off my list. read more

I just went to this laundromat today (Dec 14, 2011) because my washer broke. I was a little nervous after reading the other reviews but it was most convenient for me. To my surprise, there were tons of machines. Each washing machine bank is slightly different (capacity, efficiency, price) so walk around before deciding where to do your laundry. I ended up moving mine after I noticed high efficiency front loaders at $2.75 a load toward the back. They also have a whole wall of dryers at 6 minutes per quarter. Most of my laundry took 24 minutes (4 quarters) but I put some in for longer. There is a free parking lot in the back and free on-street parking but the only entrance is around the front. I was doing a juggling act to get three baskets of laundry and a baby into the laundromat and the woman who works there came outside and helped me get my baskets inside. She was very helpful. The place was very clean and she even asked me to wait a minute while she cleaned out the washing machines I was going to use because I had baby clothes! They didn't look dirty or anything so I was impressed by the extra help. The woman spent her time doing laundry for the drop off service offered but also managed to keep the place clean and swoop up lost socks and stray garments and hand them to the customers before they noticed anything was missing. Apparently there is not always an attendant onsite though. She left while I was there and no one replaced her. There were two folding tables which worked fine for me because most people were coming and going without folding. The place is a bit small and tight. The customers were all friendly and courteous about sharing space. It felt like a safe place. The place also had soda and snack vending machines, an ATM, and a change machine although I didn't need to use any of them. Overall, I would recommend the place. read more

Ok this place is horrible. 3$ machines are the cheapest and the dryers don't tell you how much one quarter is worth, time wise. And I put two quarters into the dryer and started it and it said 12mins. I put in another one and it still said 12. And I couldn't even take my quarter out. I waited for the 12 mins two end and then put on three quarters and it was still 12. So 4 mins for a quarter. What a rip off read more

The person working at this place on Saturday, 3/2/19 in the morning was a complete rude nightmare. Make sure not to tell her if a machine you are using isn't outputting water. You are wrong. Or that you don't see soap. Because you didn't follow instructions that are not posted....not that that was the issue anyway. Because you will be wrong and she is not afraid to let you know. She will mumble annoyingly as she tries to move your unwashed clothes to a new wash. I mean call me crazy...I wanted my clothes actually washed for $5 a load. It was awful for me to interrupt the hour long personal phone call she was having. She huffed and puffed with every ounce of effort she had to give. Hopefully if you drop off your clothes, she doesn't put them in a washer that doesn't run water or add the soap. Trust me, she wouldn't notice if didn't. read more

This place is very small and not clean enough for the prices and cleanliness of the machines/establishment. Also -there is no A/C (and/or not working?) and no windows so it gets unbearably hot inside while trying to navigate the tight space that is this laundromat. It was cooler outside when I was there and it was almost 90 degrees out that day! The washers work well enough, though I wouldn't say they were clean enough to spend $3+ per load. To top it all off the industrial dryers do not dry properly. I give this place two stars for it being "clean enough" and having a lot of washers and dryers for such a small space but I plan to take my business elsewhere in the future! read more

Update- don't use the front washers with the black door. I put one large load in the back extra large washers it was about 30 minutes. At the same time I put a small whites load In the front washing machines. I did a few errands and came back. My wash in The back was done and my front one had about 8 minutes left. I threw my clothes that were done in the dryer and waited for my other clothes... wish I knew how long that would have been! I waited almost an additional 40 minutes for them to finish!!!!!!! This is so frustrating! I understand when you use to much soap or put to much clothing in that it will take extra time. However I come here all the time and know which washers to use. This is absolutely unacceptable. Waiting for these made me late. It should not say 8 minutes left and the t eh customer waits almost 40 while the clothes just spin and then stop over and over. The clock just stood at 1 minute.. so frustrating. Also huge negative NO WIFI! Normally I would not care but waiting this long I started to. maybe customers could watch a movie for free. They have a wifi connection but when asked to enter a password there isn't one to be found in the place. Just be careful using the front machines. The amount of wasted time is infuriating. read more

There's a free parking lot behind the laundromat, plentiful machines (but next time I will avoid the high-efficiency ones - it kept one of my loads for about 10 minutes longer because - according to the sign - it was either unbalanced or too much detergent (only supposed to use 2 Tbs with these) or too dirty). Had top loaders, side loaders, lots of dryers, .75 dispenser with several types of detergent, fabric softener, even oxyclean. Closes at 10pm this weekday, security and video cameras came on following an announcement at 9:30. Lots of machines in a small-ish space. A local place. read more

This laundromat has been fixed up recently and looks nice! Always bright and clean with all machines working. New washing machines were added recently. Fair prices and very nice neighborhood laundromat. Never a problem to find a parking spot, as they have parking in the front and a parking lot in the back. I do my own laundry here and sometimes use the Wash, Dry, Fold service to drop off my towels and sheets (I'm a massage therapist), and they do my laundry for me. I dropped off over 30 lbs of large turkish towels and bed linens for their wash/dry/fold service. Service was extremely courteous, friendly, and helpful. When I returned to pick up, I found my laundry beautifully clean, meticulously folded,and carefully sorted and packaged in clear plastic. An impressive job! The attendant anxiously asked if I found everything satisfactory (to say "yes" was an understatement, to say the least). She insisted on helping me to carry the bundles to my car. This is a great place, and, I might add, very reasonably priced. read more
