They are absolutely wonderful to interact with when I've dropped in, and Rafik the owner is such a great person in every way. This place was close to the tailor I was patronizing and it had positive reviews, so I gave it a try. I brought in my damask comforter for dry-cleaning, and the proprietor said "detergent?" when accepting it, to which I answered "yes," assuming he meant the dry-cleaning chemicals they use to clean garments. I figured he asked because some garments couldn't be cleaned with chemicals and didn't want to ruin my comforter. When I came to pick up my comforter, it looked like it hadn't been cleaned at all. There were visible stains and cat-hair on it, and when I pointed them out to the proprietor, he argued that the cat-hair wasn't there, that he "knows what cat-hair looks like and that's not cat-hair!" Then, when that didn't work, he said, "did you see the way it came in?! It was black!" Then, "you told us to wash it, not dry-clean it!" I asked why I would pay them $25 just to launder a comforter, when I could do that myself at the laundromat for less? Mind you, this was a queen-sized comforter with a complex black and white stitched pattern on it, it would seem obvious that it required dry-cleaning. Then, after arguing with me for several minutes over what I'd asked for, he said, "fine! I'll dry-clean it, but it'l be $40." $40 to dry-clean a comforter? I checked and American Dry-Cleaners only charges $25 for the same item). At that point, it was either pay $25 for literally nothing, or the $40 for the dry-cleaning service, so I left the comforter there and hoped for the best. When I returned, the proprietor told me they had "tried" as he tossed my comforter on the counter with a shrug, but had given up and were only charging me $25 because any more "work on the stains could cause holes in the fabric." The comforter looks slightly cleaner than the last time I saw it. Poor service, garbage attitudes/rudeness, and overblown prices, why would I ever return? read more

If I could outsource everything in my house, I would. Laundry was one of the easiest. I take advantage of the free pick-up and drop-off service which makes the whole process so much easier. They are fast and the man running the joint couldn't be nicer. The price is super affordable too. I only leave off one star because sometimes the soap they use can be a bit harsh on my more delicate items. Live and learn. I just don't send those out. No big deal, but something to remember for items that you really, really, really love. read more

I don't understand the positive reviews. I had a VERY different experience. DON'T use the laundering service at this laundromat. This is my first Yelp review in about 8 years, but I felt compelled to write one. I used the pick-up and delivery service last week. My clothes took nearly a week to be laundered. The staff did not return a half-full bag of Tide pods, a totally full jug of detergent, and a totally full container of bleach. Some stains on my clothes were worse than before, and many of the articles of clothing were folded inside out. The pick-up and delivery service stinks--the drivers stood in my apartment lobby while I brought all my clothes downstairs (and back upstairs when they were returned to me); the staff didn't offer to help. When I called to tell the attendant that my detergents and bleach were missing when my "clean" clothes were delivered to me, he dismissed me and said he'd call back IF they found my items. He said these items were in one of my bags, which they most definitely were not. Bad laundering, bad customer service, long wait, and stolen items--I won't be back. read more

I'm a week in and I'm close to giving them all of the clothes in my neighborhood. The front guys is amazing! Super helpful, easy to deal with, great hours (seriously, some of the others stop at 4, I work past 4). He even helped me out to my car with a larger order. $1.25/lb, 24-48 hours on average for smaller orders. Great job on sheets and bedding. and $25 for queen and king comforters. Parking right out front or half the block down on the side street. I haven't tried the pick up and delivery service as its so close to my work. Opening up my 40 pounds of clean, neatly folded/packaged clothes felt like Christmas morning! I normally don't send away my laundry, and I originally intended this to be a one-off thing (my room was getting a little out of control), but at only $1.00/lb and a few bucks for delivery, I may never do my own laundry again. John from Neptune was prompt, informative, flexible with delivery/pickup hours, and incredibly nice. He picked up from my door, I was able to just forget about it, and before I knew it, it was delivered back to my apartment. Definitely recommend to anyone in the Watertown/Cambridge area. The service at this laundry is fantastic. Recently I've had to have my laundry done for me due to time constraints, and they not only do excellent quality service, but they will even pick up and deliver laundry to and from your door in the Watertown area (usually after 7 pm). I've had many pounds of laundry done in just 24 hours. The service is easy, fast, and extremely good quality. It's all done over the phone (or you can drop by their shop). Completely hassle free. I highly recommend them for anyone who needs help due to a busy schedule and just can't fit in the time to do laundry or doesn't have facilities in their housing place (such as myself.) I have a goose down duvet that I bought in England many years ago. It's actually two duvets that I use separately for spring/summer, fall, and snap together in winter for incredible warmth. The duvets cannot be dry cleaned and require a wash and special drying technique. I've had the duvets done many times before. I'm always very nervous because if they get ruined, I'm in big trouble. I just moved to Watertown and on the advice of a friend went to Watertown Laundromat to have the duvet cleaned. Rafik, the owner, is an absolute delight. We talked about my duvet and how he'd dry it. He gave me a good price on the first one. When the duvet came back, it was beautifully clean and very fluffy...perfect. I brought in the second one the other day and fully expect it will be perfect too. Rafik has a good customer and I'll be telling all my new friends too. read more

Had a horrible experience here. Received clothing in one plastic bag that was covered in mold. No other items were covered in mold, just this one bag, which all the clothing items were mixed together previous to being sent to the cleaners. Proves it's not our fault, yet the person delivering decided to say to my family member's face that it was his fault. Delivery person tried to avoid talking to us after realizing he was at fault, legitimately dropped the clothing off at the door and walked at a rapid pace back to his car. When said family member tried to talk to him is when he proceeded to blame it on him. And we still had to pay for his services even though our clothing was delivered in this condition. I have been going to these guys for almost a year and thought they were nothing but great in the beginning. They used to be timely and courteous, but their service has gone way downhill. The storefront is often closed with a sign that says "Be back in 10 minutes" or with a specified time that's over an hour away and I'm often making repeat visits to the store to pick my stuff up. Worse yet, they often do not have my laundry completed as they say they would, after multiplve visits to pick up, and no attempt at customer service is made (an apology or a phone call to let me know there's a delay would go a long way). It might be that their prices are very reasonable and that they are becoming overburdened with too many customers and deliveries, but whatever the explanation it's become an unpleasant experience. I just had to edit and update this review from 2 stars to 1 after my last visit here the other day. I dropped off my stuff on a Monday and asked for it to be ready Wednesday, which they agreed. It wasn't, they hadn't done anything with it. So obnoxious. read more

After reading reviews from this place. I decided to try it out. I dropped off 3 suits and a winter The North Face jacket on a Friday morning for dry clean, washed fold and asked to pick them up Tuesday. The man, I believe to be the owner, had promised it would be available Monday afternoon. I came late Monday and again Tuesday morning. My stuff were not ready for pick up. He explained, because my suits were special made, he had to ship them out to Rhode Island to have them done and it would take longer than normally expected. He called Wednesday afternoon and apologize it will be in the store Thursday morning and that he would drop them off at my house. Not only I was disappointed that he was 2 days late. Upon checking my suits, the buttons were damaged and cracked. I called him and was told he was not responsible for the buttons damaged. I requested that the buttons be replaced. He said again he wasn't responsible for the buttons damaged and said to me to go somewhere else next time. He spoke in a very angry manner. Just an FYI. Parking can also be tough around here. read more

Be advised that although it is called a "laundromat" you cannot do your own laundry here. They only offer pay by the pound and they will do it for you. I don't know how that service is, but was confused when I went in and there was no laundromat. (I'm only giving stars because Yelp makes me do so to post.) read more
