This is the British lounge at IAD. They take priority pass. It's nice, quiet and not crowded but the breakfast food was lacking. They had the standard continental items like pastries, cereal , and fruit but no eggs or other dishes like at other airlines. People were nice.

Trying out a non-United/star alliance lounge for the first time. Not bad at all considering you don't get full access to the BA lounge as a non-passenger. There's wine on tap, beer, soda, juices and espresso machines. There's continental breakfast offerings of pastries, fruit, cereal and oatmeal. Nice comfy seats, clean bathrooms with showers available if you ask up front. No liquor so no early morning cocktails. Note that access is limited to Priority pass holders from 6am-2pm and to Business/first class BA passengers after 2pm.

I had wanted to check out British Airways Lounge the first time I was in IAD with Priority Pass, but with a night flight and BA open until 2pm for PP members, that's ok, at least I still had Turkish Airlines Lounge. The next time I went to IAD (five days later...lol), I knew the the Turkish Airlines Lounge was full of the rustle and bustle of a bunch of people there for the food but had no prior experience here. I got in at 12:10pm and they let me know that this "closed" at 2pm. When I entered there was only one other person. This was perfect for me haha. The area that's open for PP members is one long hallway area from the entrance, with computer and kitchen areas open up for use as well. Yes, they don't have much regarding food. They have some alcohol and some soda (sprite zero but no coke zero - whyyyy). They have some Oreos, mixed nuts, some jalapeno chips, and some coffee/tea. I think that's most of what their food options are haha. But it's so quiet and they have plenty of outlets here to charge not only your devices, but also yourself. What I needed. The decorations here are really nice and kinda elegant haha. Anyways, if you want food, just go to Turkish after lol.

Gorgeous ambiance, bland service! The B terminal lounge is quite pleasing to the eye but the hostess was very dry, snubby & uninviting. I requested a shower and unaware if my boarding time she stated there were many people ahead of me and she'd let me know if one came available. As I walked through the EMPTY lounge (as I arrived only 40 minutes after 7am time I discovered only 2 people Shari g the lounge with me. There was no food and snacks consisted of chips, apples, oranges & bananas. Although I loved the decor the customer service drove me right out the door and down the terminal to Turkish Lounge where I was kindly greeted & able to shower immediately before enjoying an amazing fresh hot breakfast. 1 Star goes out to the designer. ~Christy

Nice lounge with a few seating areas. It was very comfortable as the lounge was not full. Was there during breakfast and they had decent food.

Entrance from main concourse level straight across from the escalators and to the right.

As far as airport lounges go this one was much better than sitting in the general boarding area but lacked some of the nicer touches seen in other locations. They had a nice selection of fruit, snacks and beverages. Plenty of seats and charge ports for getting work done. If 3 1/2 was available I would have given a little more.

The British Airways Galleries First Lounge is open to Priority Pass members from 7 am to 2 pm then closes to reopen to BA First Class passengers at 3:30. It is located in the center of the B councourse just accros the train exit. There is an open self-serve bar with a good selection of snacks, soft drinks, wine & spirits. The rest rooms are single person only. There is only one shower that provided only one large towel that was very thick, no hand towel or wash cloth. Elemis branded soap, lotion, shampoo, & body wash were nice. See my many pictures!

The lounge is open between 7am to 2pm for priority pass members

I checked also the business lounge - the food was far better than say United's own lounge at SFO, better organized tables.

Anyway with our upgrade came a lounge visit but Lufthansa's lounge was closed for refurbishment. We were given access to any Star Alliance lounge and after research we chose Turkish Airlines. The staff is super efficient and friendly. The lounge gets really crowded because it's small but they cleared dishes quickly and it seemed to help with turning the tables. The food was amazing! Best airport lounge food I've had. The bar is tucked away in the back separate from the food and dining area. We sat next to two nice gentlemen who were professors going to Frankfurt to teach international business for a week. I love how airports make people More Sociable.

Unfortunately I had minimal time to experience as the lounge was full. They kept allowing Turkish airlines passengers in the lounge and put passport members were put on a hold . We waited 45 min before being allowed in. I had to go up and ask because they said the lounge was full but kept letting other members in. The people at the front desk were not very pleasant or accommodating. The lounge was packed very tight. It was noisy and loud. It's a big lounge but the bathroom lines were incredibly long. Food was mediocre - on the upside the desserts were pretty tasty.

I also like how much flexibility you have when you're ordering on the QR code. When we arrived, the lounge was at capacity and so we were placed on a short waitlist and we were off within 10 minutes. Because of its capacity, they do direct you where you should sit, which was OK since I was traveling with just my parents. When you make your way to the bar you're warmly greeted by the amazing trio Angie, Erica, and Freedom. Hard-working lovely ladies that really make the experience 10x better. The lounge is very clean and the food bar has delicious meals that are fresh and refreshing. Overall a great experience before your next flight. Gracias Etihad Lounge for a phenomenal experience!

Upon seeing my boarding pass, the staff informed me that we qualify to visit the Polaris Lounge instead, a 5 to 8 minutes' walk away, near Gate C17. I asked which will be less crowded. She said they are both crowded, but the Polaris is much nicer. We decided to hoof it over to the Polaris since it's supposed to be a big deal, ignoring the fact that we probably have 45 minutes only to stay there. She wasn't kidding. The place was packed. It was very difficult to get a pair of seats, and we basically were stalkers waiting for folks to leave. Meanwhile, we were sweating from the walk and from the many people inside the lounge. After finally having seats, we looked at the food and drinks selection. I have to admit the food selection is impressive. They have a dining section that is full table service. Then there is a buffet section with good selection of proteins and produce in addition to the usual snacks. I was too hot to be hungry by then and chose only several cocktail prawns plus a few asparagus stalks. After a cold soda with ice from the bar, it was time to leave. There was also a line to wait for the bathroom. Next time, we won't fancy a Polaris Lounge when we don't have the time to stay.

It's big the club, but one location for food options which is quite tiny. I never knew you could get a bagel made for a child. I'm very confident this was sitting somewhere for a bit of time because without toasting it, you would bust some teeth. It was hard. That scream not even in this realm fresh. I'm wagering that other bread items, oh for those seeking danish or muffins, not a chance that's available. On the coffee side why does United ignore a growing segment of the population that either has a dairy allergy, lactose intolerant or vegan? Ever heard of almond, oat or soy milk? What about those little french vanilla cup things? Clearly who ever oversees this club must be the same dolt who oversees the one in Phoenix because they follow the similar path of cream, 50-50 or whole milk. You do get a sippy like plastic cup for the kiddos, oh I mean for adults to drink your soda out of the machine. Finally with all the germ rise and an increase in norovirus and ongoing yuckiness, how about sanitizer like so many biz lounges have everywhere even on the wall? Don't fret though. Because if you love oranges you are in luck. They also use them for decoration.
