I need a bigger drink cup thàn 6 ounces. I found myself with 8 cups over my ouple of hour layover. But, I will have to say the staff was friendly and helpful and the place was clean

I visited early morning and IAD has only one international morning flight so the lounge was almost empty. I tried the dining area and food was great. After the breakfast, I moved to the lounge area and enjoyed a cup of cappuccino. lounge is in the second floor and able to watch planes on the ground. I truly enjoyed my stay.

What an experience! Flying first class to Greece allowed me access to the United Polaris lounge. The Customer Service was five out of five. The food was a 10 out of five. Especially the curried coconut cauliflower bisque in the sit down restaurant part. My neighbor thought it smelled so good, he ordered it as well. The shrimp and grits were delicious too. There are lovely and clean private bathroom 'rooms'. My flight was delayed, so I came back and sat at the bar and enjoyed good conversation with fellow passengers. I hope to come back!

Lounge with customers clearly not being thoughtful to fellow travelers by occupying multiple seats/chairs unnecessarily!

I had high hopes for this lounge. While I fully understand Dulles is a busy airport-- I feel the designers of this lounge should account for maximum capacity. Upon entry it took me 20 minutes to find a place to sit. Many passengers use their carry-ons to occupy up to three seats.... At a time when the lounge is busy, this type of behavior is just rude, and I feel someone should be around to curtail it from United Airlines. The buffet options were not that appetizing, and the desserts were really not appetizing. I wish there was a quiet room with proper capacity so that one could relax a little before the flight. I think United needs to up their game in comparison to other competing airlines lounges, especially in terms of their offerings.

Arrived early for departure. They served breakfast until 11am. The made-to-order Omelet Your Way came with various ingredients of eggs, meats, vegetables and cheese per choice. It was also served with potatoes and peppers. The Maryland Crab Cake was still tender with running egg on its top. They did not have the Peach Bellini, so to take the Classic Mimosa. The service was friendly and professional.

This place is a lot better than the standard United Club. I was flying International Business class and took advantage of this place. It's large and has many different sitting areas and a sit-down restaurant. I was there early for international departures, so the place was empty. That being said, plenty of hot food was still on the buffet, and the coffee and regular bar service were available. It's a lovely place, and if you are flying United biz class abroad, take advantage of this beautiful lounge to relax before your flight. I highly recommend it!

Seems new or modernized Polaris lounge in Dulles international airport. Was not crowded when I arrived but got very busy around boarding time for me (4P or so) -- so much so that it was difficult to find seats. The buffet was pretty good -- typical United Polaris lounge fare and the ambiance was very nice -- good views of the runway.

Slightly better than a United Club. The restaurant is nice but with a very limited menu. The bar carries a few premium wines and spirits but none of the recharging outlets work. A bartender told me the problem has been known for a while but fixing it is not a priority. It gets ridiculously crowded in the afternoons. As I was leaving the lounge for my flight, every single restroom was full and there were 15 people waiting in line.

Two options for food (buffet and table service), and a full bar all included in your access to this lounge? Oh hell yes I'm coming back. The huge payoff with my access during my last trip was that my flight was delayed for five hours so I was able to come back for my second dinner. That was pretty awesome. Top rail drinks and great bar staff make the time pass quickly too.

E X C E L L E N T! The staff = amazing, beyond accommodating. The environment = perfection. When we first arrived, it was almost filled to capacity. Apparently busy day here at Dulles. Once the rush cleared out, the place took on a peaceful, tranquil vibe. We were able to eat in the dining room and take showers! It worked out beautifully. We forgive you United for the 5 1/2 hour layover. This experience and accommodations make up for it. Thank you to the staff at the United Polaris Club/Lounge!

We tried SFO a few weeks before for our trip out and this is leagues ahead. Even when it's busy the staff here are lovely and keeping things moving in a classy way. They even had people walking around offering tapas in the form of empanadas. The bartenders were competent and efficient with recommendations and drinks service. The food stations were well maintained and delicious options. I loved our asparagus soup and meats and cheeses to go with wine service. Plenty of seating, although, while we were here they did get slammed around 4:30 pm. We noticed a couple people circling to find a seat, but not for long as one would open up. People were well mannered and polite and didn't take advantage. It was great to see after SFO experience . I would pay extra to come here again. But honestly, this might be enough for me to choose united business flight out over other carriers.

The best lounge in IAD if you can afford to fly Polaris class on United. On my way to Madrid and I had a layover in IAD. The dining room served within 10 minutes, ordered the salmon and tagliatelle before my flight. Excellent food, superb service, peaceful ambiance. I can't wait to return.

It's an overpriced buffet with an open draft, well, & wine bar. No comfortable seating anywhere. How is this considered a lounge?

The seating is very close to others and there is no management of seating. A person can occupy a larger table and it forces others to scout for somewhere else to sit. There was also a delay in cleaning off the tables to support arriving guests. Food options were minimal and there were no meat offerings. Not that it is a must have, but the offerings were in need of replenishment and oversight to keep the food bar clean and orderly. I made myself a veggie plate and there wasn't salad dressing, nor oil and vinegar. I made due with what was available and called it good. There are soft drinks, coffee, tea and alcohol options, along with a station to fill your water bottle with filtered water. Good views along the window at two person tables. There are outlets to support recharging your devices and wifi is available to download content and whatever you may need it for. A robot server was in use during my visit. It didn't wow me as there were still areas that needed some attention. Staff were friendly and answered my questions. Not a terrible experience but this lounge pales in comparison to the Centurion and some others that I've frequented. The amenities are the draw and even that seemed to be a struggle.

Many people were ordering the Aperol Spritz drink special, so it seemed to be a crowd favorite. Overall, I enjoyed both my meal and the service. The lounge was definitely packed for a Thursday afternoon, although the many weather related flight delays likely contributed to the crowds. I was able to find a seat at the bar within a few minutes of arriving, but I noticed several people waiting around for a while hoping to find an open seat. I also like how much flexibility you have when you're ordering on the QR code. When we arrived, the lounge was at capacity and so we were placed on a short waitlist and we were off within 10 minutes. Because of its capacity, they do direct you where you should sit, which was OK since I was traveling with just my parents. The lounge is split into two floors with really good ambience though like mentioned earlier they do try to fit as many guests as possible so we can feel a bit crowded!

It's big the club, but one location for food options which is quite tiny. I never knew you could get a bagel made for a child. I'm very confident this was sitting somewhere for a bit of time because without toasting it, you would bust some teeth. It was hard. That scream not even in this realm fresh. I'm wagering that other bread items, oh for those seeking danish or muffins, not a chance that's available. On the coffee side why does United ignore a growing segment of the population that either has a dairy allergy, lactose intolerant or vegan? Ever heard of almond, oat or soy milk? What about those little french vanilla cup things? Clearly who ever oversees this club must be the same dolt who oversees the one in Phoenix because they follow the similar path of cream, 50-50 or whole milk. You do get a sippy like plastic cup for the kiddos, oh I mean for adults to drink your soda out of the machine. Finally with all the germ rise and an increase in norovirus and ongoing yuckiness, how about sanitizer like so many biz lounges have everywhere even on the wall? Don't fret though. Because if you love oranges you are in luck. They also use them for decoration.

This is definitely a lounge where you should expect only the basics and not much more. When I arrived, the food selection was very limited and unfortunately they had already run out of several items and did not restock during my visit. The only things available were slices of bread, oatmeal, grapes, bananas, apples, and pineapple, which felt pretty underwhelming for a lounge. The espresso machines were also out of milk and needed service, so specialty coffee wasn't really an option either. The dining area itself was small and felt cramped, especially during busy times. On the plus side, there was plenty of seating throughout the lounge, but the overall layout felt awkward and outdated. The furniture looks old and the whole space could really use a refresh. The bathrooms were another weak point -- they looked worn down, had only a few stalls, and definitely seemed like they were due for repairs or renovation. One positive note: the cleaning staff did a great job. Tables were cleared quickly and used plates were removed regularly, which helped keep the space from feeling messy even when it was crowded. Overall, this lounge works if you just need a place to sit, charge your phone, and grab a quick snack, but don't expect a premium lounge experience. It really feels like this location is overdue for an update.
