This is a reasonable size lounge with full food counter, full-service bar, free WiFi, washrooms,…read moreand shower! There is a different section for business class passengers, where the chairs are more luxurious. There is a person who will cook a pasta of the day right in front of you. The rest of the food is self-serve. The food is reasonably good. They constantly replenish the items. There is salad, soup, hot food, bread, chips, cookies, cold drinks, and hot drinks. At the bar, you can get beer, wine, and cocktails; cocktails are at an extra charge. If you don't have time to spend at the lounge, you can get a box of food to go. You can reserve lounge access at an additional charge. The business section is for Cathay Pacific business class passengers only. I had a quick look inside. There are not many people in it at 13:00. The food seems upgraded. There is a KLM Lounge next door. With a lounge pass, you can choose either but yhe food at Plaza Premium is better. There is free WiFi. The lounge is wheelchair accessible. There are separate male/female washrooms which are wheelchair accessible. There are also family and nursing washrooms. Review 2026-157

If you're looking for a calm oasis after the chaos of security, this lounge is your golden…read moreticket--spacious, organized, and serving food that'll make you forget you're in an airport. The moment we cleared security, it felt like we stumbled upon a traveller's haven. The lounge is right after security, which is a blessing when you just want to drop your bags and relax. The space is enormous, with ample seating, and it never felt cramped even with a steady flow of guests. Whether you're a solo traveller or wrangling a group, there's a spot for everyone. Now, let's talk food and drinks, because that's where this lounge truly soars. The menu was extensive (and yes, I regret not snapping photos for proof!), but every dish we tried was delicious. We kicked things off with a tomato basil soup that was so good it could make you forget about your flight delays. For mains, the lemon pepper fish, chicken in curry, rice, fresh greens, and assorted desserts hit the spot beautifully--comfort food done right. Drinks are a treat too: I enjoyed a Great Lakes beer, which is part of their complimentary selection, though if you want to indulge in the finer spirits, be prepared to pay a little extra. A small note for fellow travellers: wait times can stretch during rush hours. We had to scan a QR code to join the waitlist, but honestly, the reception staff run the place like a well-oiled machine. From managing the line to the smooth entry process, everything was systematic and stress-free--a rare sight in any airport. All in all, this lounge turned our layover into a mini vacation. Great food, an inviting atmosphere, and staff who know how to keep things moving make this spot worth every minute of the wait. As the saying goes, good things come to those who wait--and in this case, they come with curry, craft beer, and a comfy seat.

I was also half dead with a cold and trying my best to hide it so they'd let me through the gates. First thing I noticed was that sleek, shiny, lounge-y atmosphere. Damn, this place looks like a hotel and was beautiful. Small, but with shiny wooden decor and large windows that looked out onto the runway. Off to one corner was a discreet area for a shower. This must be where the frequent flying elite brush up. I sat at one of the comfortable seats and just stared outside until I had to go. Blissful. One of the main benefits of the lounge is of course, free food and refreshments. I'm guessing they rotate through different international fare. That day, I was only up for something soupy because I was sick. Luckily for me, they had laksa noodles. Even more luckily for me, I found it very tasty. Sipping away at my laksa and unlimited earl grey tea certainly helped put me to sleep for 8 hours straight on the plane ride afterwards. Yes, there were more people than I thought there would be. Yes, there were a surprising amount of families and kids. But this isn't some 18+, extra exclusive lounge. If I have my family with me and earned/paid my way into the lounge, what am I gonna do? Leave my kids outside? I happened across a previous review that starts with: "It blows my mind when I see 4 and 5 star ratings for this lounge. Have you never been to another lounge before?" No, Jordan. I haven't. Because I'm a broke af young adult that just finished paying off college debts, goddammit. Chill. Let me enjoy your privilege for once. (17/100) - 2018

It's a huge space with multiple areas including a children's area. There are also showers. For dinner they offered 2 kinds of soups, a salad bar, a meatless pasta, a mushroom with tofu (so salty!), rice pilaf, Asian bbq chicken, chips and salsa, 4 kinds of cookies and 2 kinds of cakes. There's also coffee machines, canned pops, canned sparkling water, juices, spirits and wines. Food was below average. I would rather not come back. I stayed an hour and no one had removed my plates. The Air Canada Maple Leaf Lounge was very full when we arrived. There were 3 of us, and by happenstance we found 3 chairs...in a hallway. After setting up base camp, I went on the prowl to see what foods were available. It's a large lounge, and with it being pretty packed, it felt chaotic, but on the plus side, there is a lot of natural light. First let me start with the good- they had a nice array of beverages that were self serve- including 7-up with real sugar. Not corn syrup. It was so good! The food though, was a bizarre assortment, and few options at that. I walked the spread about 4 times before I grabbed a plate because I could not wrap my head around what I was seeing. Nothing made sense. There were 4 steam pots- one with a meat entree, one with a veggie dish, one with steamed rice and something else I cannot recall. There was also a salad bar, but it lacked true variety and the dressings were limited to oil and vinegar. There were 2 soups and...wait for it- tortilla chips! To go with what, I have no idea. Once I surveyed the food assortment, I helped myself to a citrus chicken dish, rice and veggies. The veggies were the best part. They were seasoned alright, but nothing to really write home about. The rice was, well; just rice and the citrus chicken was bland. I could barely detect a citrus flavor. Once I got back to our base camp, it was my husband's turn and he got chicken soup with tortilla chips, lol! The food offerings, just didn't measure up to other lounge offerings, and the odd assortment of food just seemed like a farce. Once we ate our food, it was time to head out. The lounge was getting even more congested and being seated in the hallway was a bit claustrophobic. For a lounge of this size, the food options are shockingly small, but within that, the food quality and assortment is an afterthought. The great service and food I'm accustomed to receiving on Air Canada flights is nonexistent. It's almost like a different brand.

When it got to my turn, since I had no time to spend in the lounge (too close to departure), A staff member scooped and boxed up the food for me, placed it nicely in a paper bag, gave me a bottle of water for me and my guest and I was on my way. The wait was about 20 minutes, which was reasonable. However, once inside, it was difficult to find a seat due to how packed it was. The hot food selection was very disappointing, and I honestly can't believe people pay $$$ for this level of service. The offerings included frozen basa fillet in a coconut-based sauce, overcooked chow mein, mayo-heavy coleslaw, and frozen chicken dumplings--overall worse than a decent food court meal, or even an average airplane meal. I understand that a domestic lounge may cater to short-stay travelers, but since international passengers are also being accommodated here, there should be a wider variety and better quality of hot food options.
