Unfortunately I seemed to…read morehave written a previous review stating I was at the US departure lounge, which this isn't. However, I see other people's photos and the interiors don't match either! I am currently flying international so I thought this was an international lounge. After I left the lounge, I discovered another Plaza Premium lounge near gate C31). So I asked the staff there. They said they were the official International lounge and I was in the Domestic lounge! So it appears Domestic and International departures have no security barrier between them, just the US departures have a secuirty barrier due to their advanced customs clearance at the Toronto airport. People using the lounge passes from credit cards are limited to 2 hours of use. You can pre-book your entry time if you wish for US$9/person. When you enter the lounge, you have to show your complimentary passes or purchase them. There is also a self-serve entry kiosk. The lounge looked clean. There are a few attendants picking up finished dishes and cleaning tables. We arrived at 07:00 with their breakfast service. There is plenty of options. There are 5 hot dishes (sausage, scrambled egg, potato wedges, baked beans, and egg burrito), oatmeal, salad (balsamic vinaigrette is available), cold cuts, cheese, yogurt, cereal, bakery items (bagel, bread, muffin), pop machine, and hot drinks machine. I like their milk hot chocolate. The latte was missing milk! The oatmeal is very watery and bland. There are 4 toppings but it didn't include brown sugar. The bar (for alcoholic beverages) opened before 08:00. All food and drinks are self-serve except for the alcohol. There are condiments. However, the condiment bottles/containers are with the food section, so i had to go back twice to put some pepper on my food; they don't have little pepper/salt packages. There are tables and counter seating for eating food, lounge chairs, etc. There is free WiFi. The lounge is wheelchair accessible. There are separate male/female washroom and they are wheelchair accessible. Review 2026-112

I was also half dead with a cold and trying my best to hide it so they'd let me through the gates. First thing I noticed was that sleek, shiny, lounge-y atmosphere. Damn, this place looks like a hotel and was beautiful. Small, but with shiny wooden decor and large windows that looked out onto the runway. Off to one corner was a discreet area for a shower. This must be where the frequent flying elite brush up. I sat at one of the comfortable seats and just stared outside until I had to go. Blissful. One of the main benefits of the lounge is of course, free food and refreshments. I'm guessing they rotate through different international fare. That day, I was only up for something soupy because I was sick. Luckily for me, they had laksa noodles. Even more luckily for me, I found it very tasty. Sipping away at my laksa and unlimited earl grey tea certainly helped put me to sleep for 8 hours straight on the plane ride afterwards. Yes, there were more people than I thought there would be. Yes, there were a surprising amount of families and kids. But this isn't some 18+, extra exclusive lounge. If I have my family with me and earned/paid my way into the lounge, what am I gonna do? Leave my kids outside? I happened across a previous review that starts with: "It blows my mind when I see 4 and 5 star ratings for this lounge. Have you never been to another lounge before?" No, Jordan. I haven't. Because I'm a broke af young adult that just finished paying off college debts, goddammit. Chill. Let me enjoy your privilege for once. (17/100) - 2018

I couldn't find a Yelp listing for the Maple Leaf Lounge Express but from the pics already posted,…read moreit seems like this is the one. Yea, this is the most BARE BONES lounge I've ever been in. Originally, my dad, bro and I had wanted to go to the upper level 3 Air Canada lounge but it was at capacity unfortunately, the wait to get in was long and we didn't want to stand and wait. So we went to the lower levels and arrived at this "express" lounge. Walking inside we noticed immediately that it was super small (idk if you can even call this a lounge tbh). There was one long bar with a minibar and fridge and 2 giant coffee machines. That's it. The only food provided was parfait and blueberry muffins. The blueberry muffin was really good but 'disappointed' is an understatement for how I felt about the food offering in this lounge (NO HOT FOOD AT ALL???!!!) I think Air Canada needs to do away with this scam "express" lounge and build a proper one to mimic the one on the 3rd level.

I have been to this Maple Leaf Lounge pre-covid and after covid. Nowadays, you have the options of ordering food by using a QR code and that is pretty cool. Food is still meh regardless of which Maple Leaf Lounge you go to. At least now they have added chips to the food options and that is good. I don't drink but for those that do, they will definitely enjoy the time here. All food and drinks are included in the lounge access.

It's a huge space with multiple areas including a children's area. There are also showers. For dinner they offered 2 kinds of soups, a salad bar, a meatless pasta, a mushroom with tofu (so salty!), rice pilaf, Asian bbq chicken, chips and salsa, 4 kinds of cookies and 2 kinds of cakes. There's also coffee machines, canned pops, canned sparkling water, juices, spirits and wines. Food was below average. I would rather not come back. I stayed an hour and no one had removed my plates. As a lounge primarily affiliated with an airline instead of a credit card, the lounge was fairly empty when I visited (dinner time Saturday night) and we were able to get in without any difficulties. It was generally quiet but felt not much different from waiting in the terminal. The staff clean the tables fairly infrequently so it was hard to tell which tables were in use and which hadn't been turned over yet. The food was decent- about the same quality as regular airport food and there were some vegan and vegetarian options of soup, build your own salad, and some hot plate foods. Of course there is a coffee machine and fridges full of canned Pepsi products, bubly sparkling water, and Schepps products. There is an open self serve bar as well with a pretty wide selection of liquors. The bathrooms were a little better than what's in the terminals, but still hit or miss on sanitation.

When it got to my turn, since I had no time to spend in the lounge (too close to departure), A staff member scooped and boxed up the food for me, placed it nicely in a paper bag, gave me a bottle of water for me and my guest and I was on my way. The wait was about 20 minutes, which was reasonable. However, once inside, it was difficult to find a seat due to how packed it was. The hot food selection was very disappointing, and I honestly can't believe people pay $$$ for this level of service. The offerings included frozen basa fillet in a coconut-based sauce, overcooked chow mein, mayo-heavy coleslaw, and frozen chicken dumplings--overall worse than a decent food court meal, or even an average airplane meal. I understand that a domestic lounge may cater to short-stay travelers, but since international passengers are also being accommodated here, there should be a wider variety and better quality of hot food options.
