First Time and Great Results!…read more Hurt and shifted a disc in my lower spine. I was referred by a friend to CYY for a first time experience for Acupuncture. I tired compression braces, aleve, Icy hots, Solonpas patch's, yoga rollers, exercises and I kept re-injuring my lower back (3rd time). When I made my first visit I was on my 7th day of recovery and was not able to stand straight without a compression brace. Lower back was completely loosened after visit. 2nd visit I was able to move with full motion, no back brace. I stand all day and do mfg work so I highly recommend this place if you need to recover fast. Price was very affordable, since I spent about $125 at target for all the braces and medication. My lower back loosened up in one visit and I had a second to fully be able to twist. I feel I had a lot of pressure release with the acupuncture and cupping. You can feel the relief if you are hurting really bad. Highly recommended thank you CYY!

I tried multiple other therapies for my pain, but nothing ever helped. After a few sessions with Dr. Chen, my pain and discomfort improved greatly. I would definitely come back for other concerns and will continue to come back for my hand pain flareups. I highly recommend this acupuncture clinic if you are looking natural and effective approach to improving your health. There is usually a wait on the weekends, so I recommend coming on a weekday.

Listen, I hate needles and if I can avoid it I will, but I've been to Dr. Tu a handful of times…read moredue to lifting injuries or other injuries. To be honest, acupuncture is my last line of defense and I'll do it as my last resort just because I hate needles, but the fact that I keep coming here to fix myself despite the aversion to needles is a testament to how GOOD Jenny is. If you're an athlete, come here. She will understand, as she's an athlete herself, as she was an elite powerlifter and martial artist. She, as a clinician just "gets it." which is so important as a clinician! I want to show the few times she has literally and figuratively saved my ass: My sciatica. I went on a road trip and it flared up so bad that I contemplated going to the ER. I couldn't even touch the skin around my glutes, it was so bad that I had numbness and tingling in the saddle area, injection of toradol didn't work, vicodin didn't even work. I was in bed laying on my left side for days. I couldn't walk. My entire right side and some of my left from the low back to my heel hurt, and when I got there some of the symptoms subsided in it's intensity but it was still there. I'm a physical therapist, but II couldn't even do the easist exercises I would prescribe to my patients because it hurt so bad. I couldn't even tolerate any soft tissue massage. She did her work and her magic and brought my pain down to a manageable level where I could tolerate walking, sitting and going to a massage therapist (shout out to citris body workx) who aboslutely annhilated my piriformis and then I was fixed. She was able to get deep into the piriformis and into my hamstring insertion points (it was NOT painless but she did such an amazing job) If it weren't for Jenny, I wouldn't have been able to get there. More recently, she helped me with my neck and shoulder problems that have been getting worse over the past couple months and it came to a head a month ago. Again, acupuncture really fixed a lot of muscle trigger points that was causing the pain. and after a day or two I felt so much better. I even started lifting again (lightly). I am still going to her for the same issue, but the fact that I was living with probably an 8/10 pain (dull deep aching pain) and went to a 4-5/10 is amazing. For my sciatica I went from a 10/10 (as in, almost into the ER, sometimes crying) to a 4/10 immediately and was able to tolerate massage work from somewhere else. Also, if you like dry needling (like physical therapists outside of CA and CA athletic trainers do) then she does that as well.

As an athlete the main goal is injury prevention and when you do get injured, you must immediately make it a priority to seek professional help. I came in because of shoulder pain. long overdue review! pregnancy brain has me under a bad case of procrastination :)…read more dr. xie & dr. benjamin are a father son duo who specialize in treating you with acupuncture & chinese herbs. in 2023, i went through several rounds of mini ivf but heartbreakingly all embryos failed pgt-a testing. after taking a year off to give myself a mental and physical break, i decided to look towards chinese medicine to help my chances before starting up the ivf process again. because all my tests and numbers came back fine, cycles were regular, i felt like i wasn't getting any answers from western medicine. dr xie monitors your condition and adjusts the chinese medicine he prescribes weekly, ensuring that your plan is tailored to your specific situation at any given time. dr benjamin has great bedside manner and always makes you feel comfortable during your visits. i knew going in, this would be a long term commitment and results would take time. they saw me through another year of ivf as i banked embryos and ultimately, we had a successful transfer on the first try. i continued my visits through the first trimester and was happily sent on my way after! i don't know if it has anything to do with it but, generally had a very easy pregnancy to date. so thankful for this team!

Del Mar Health Clinic is the real deal. I went in as a skeptic for fertility treatments and they…read morereally helped. Over the course of just the initial couple months, my mood, skin, and overall health improved. My western doctors had never been able to find anything in blood tests, and my case fell under "unexplained". Dr Xie listened to my symptoms, provided weekly herbs, and tweaked them as my health improved. Within just 1-2 months, my acne cleared and my general anxiety noticeably got better. It was like magic! Even some symptoms I wasn't there to treat, like digestion and stuffy nose, got cleared up too. At that point I was already thrilled and the fertility almost became a secondary goal. Dr Xie said it would take 3-6 months to work, and it took exactly 6 months for me. I can't recommend Del Mar Health enough. I've never really believed in Chinese medicine but now I tell everyone to try Dr Xie for any ailment

Oh, how I miss Grace and her magical hands. Every time I go back to visit the Los Angeles area, I…read moremake time to see Grace and have her work her magic. No, acupuncture is not magic. But Grace's hands are. I have not been able to find another acupuncturist (and I have tried many) who can compare or even come close. I have a slipped disc and sciatica. Unfortunately, this happened when I had no medical insurance. So, for one year, I was flat on my back in excruciating pain, popping prescription cocktails, mixing any and all pain relievers, muscle relaxers and anti-inflammatory pills just to relieve the pain a little, but not much. One day, a friend asked if I had tried acupuncture. No, not a single time. So, he referred me and was kind enough to drive me (since I couldn't drive). Grace is the most petite little lady, and she has the most gentle face! She takes you into a private room and asks about your symptoms and medical history. Then she gives you a hospital gown and leaves the room. I put the hospital gown on and keep my loose shorts on. Then she comes back and starts to work. My pain was so bad, and my muscles had tensed up so much, that she had to do a deep tissue massage before she could start the acupuncture. Oh, WOW. I couldn't stop laughing! I was laying there on my stomach, laughing through the hole in the massage table. Did it tickle? No. Was I feeling bashful? No. I was laughing because I thought, "I'm paying this little lady to beat the ish outta me!" But that's my reaction to deep tissue ;-) The truth is, her deep tissue did not leave me sore afterwards (and I have had some very expensive deep tissue massages from some very pricey places that always leave me sore). Grace takes as much time as is necessary to make you feel better. Post deep tissue massage and acupuncture (order varies, depending on what your body needs), she stretches you out and has you feel out how you feel. For me, considering I often walked in hunched over, stumbling in, she would have me get up and walk back and forth a few times. Strange, I can walk normally...and straight! In the cases when I was in a very bad state and the two treatments didn't cut it, she pulled out the cups. Oh, how I love cupping. She places these suction cups along the appropriate meridians or lines, and you can feel the toxins being sucked out of your body. Funny thing is, she told me they will only leave those bruise/red marks if there is pain. Pschaw. Yeah right! So she put them all along my left leg (which isn't affected by sciatica and has no pain) -- just as many as she used on the sciatica stricken right leg. I was shocked! My right leg was covered in circular purple marks. My left leg? As she removed the cups, there was a light pink ring from pressure which disappeared within minutes. No marks on the left leg!!! I kid you not, I walked normally out of every session. I started seeing her weekly or bimonthly. And as I got better and better, I went once a month for maintenance. Also, you can't beat the price! $40 per session. How long is each session? As long as you need. My sessions ranged between 1 hour and 2 hours. Was there any extra charge for going over or adding cupping or extra acupuncture? Not a penny. She does accept some insurance, but I never used insurance. I couldn't tell you if she takes cash only. I just always took cash. If you want to give her a try, call her. But get the location. She has moved locations, but her number is the same. I would update the location, but I have misplaced the address since I moved to San Francisco. On my next visit to Los Angeles, I will go visit her and update the address. ;-)
