I had to speak up and say I'd been waiting to get help. To make matters worse, my order wasn't even ready at the scheduled pickup time. I also noticed another couple come in and wait without being greeted. The manager did apologize and offered complimentary appetizers, which I appreciated, but the overall customer service left such a poor impression that I don't plan to return. The food was good, but good food doesn't make up for being ignored. While I was waiting, another couple came in and wasn't greeted either. They assumed it was self-seating, sat down for a while without anyone acknowledging them, and eventually left. Watching that happen made me realize this wasn't just a one-time issue with my order it seemed like a breakdown in customer service that could easily cost the restaurant business. After that, I laughed, left, and took everyone to another bar where the staff were much friendlier. This was a terrible first impression and very poor customer service. I will not be back.

On this Friday evening, we were treated to a wonderful bonus of live music that was set up in the bar section, but we had a nice vantage point from our table which was a comfortable c-shaped booth. As I recognized multiple songs the artist was playing on his guitar and singing songs I remembered from my youth ( (Ie., Alison by Elvis Costello, 99 Red Balloons-Neva, Everybody Wants to Rule the World- Tears for Fears). My mom ordered the Filet Sliders for her entree which were seared tenderloin with horseradish and arugula (she passed on the red pickled onion) . She's very tiny, so the portion size was fine. The 5 bouncers (yes, 5 for the "crazy" crowd control needed apparently) while we were there continually acted in a very unprofessional manner. I'm not sure if they got picked on too much or just are power hungry (in a bar, ha), but they constantly acted like they were the Barney Fife of the kingdom of Britton. They also, on more than one occasion, would wink and silently cat-call my wife when either of us got separated. So if you would like to be treated terribly (from apparently a lot of other areas of this establishment as well) and sexually harassed, Britton Tavern makes a great choice. If you prefer good food and a distinctly less aggressive atmosphere, try somewhere else. I would recommend The Nickel Plate. It's smaller, there are no bouncers (they're not needed), and it's a much better place to watch sports. read more

Our server was great. When I come here for lunch, it's off the hook. The food is great! A weekend night, with a band.... they need more servers and bartenders. My food was wrong. By the time they fixed it, the warm food was cold. My drink towards before the band started was watered down. It isn't the servers fault, the kitchens fault, or anything... they are just under staffed and need more. I know what they normally do, so tonight is a fluke. I get it, but my food is wrong and no manager came by. In my book, that is a fail. Servers don't make the food or drink, but seriously? Get that shit right. I got my bill, no manager to apologize. Unacceptable. Because the manager didn't come, no tip for the sever. First time I stiffed a server. Can I give 0 Stars? read more

Absolutely Appalling Experience at Britton Tavern Fishers - Ejected for Being Polite? Absolutely shocked by our experience at Britton Tavern Fishers. Our group of five, with a bill under $100, playing darts, was unjustly ejected for being "hostile." We were polite and quiet, causing no disturbance. The most infuriating part? The bouncers apologized as they escorted us out, stating they believed our server, Kenzie, was "having a night" and that "she does this often," confirming we were not hostile. This is a complete management failure. To be falsely accused and removed, only for the bouncers to admit the server was the issue, is unacceptable. Avoid this establishment. There are better places in Fishers that respect their customers. read more

Britton tavern has really great drinks- but their clientele seems to be very racist. I was sitting at the bar with my date, and I overheard 2 men talking about how they would shoot Muslims. Disgusting Then I overheard the first time I was there someone using inappropriate language about African Americans. The bartenders heard both these occasions and didn't stop these ppl. Britton Tavern is one of my top three bars around Indianapolis. The atmosphere is great, the bar is clean and the staff and patrons are friendly. The bar area is very large with plenty of seating, pool tables and Golden Tee games. The crowd here is quite diverse. The age ranges from 21 to 65. There is almost always a band playing on the weekends and the cover is usually only $5. I highly recommend Britton Tavern for entertainment and drinks. read more
