We have been in for a looong list of things that consist of general routine check-ups, emergency type situations, orthopedic issues, eye issues, senior issues, and treatment for terminal diseases and end of life comfort care. I feel more than confident in saying, the BCV Team can truly handle any and every situation with extreme professionalism and a heartfelt and genuine care for your "kid". In the rare event that another physician can provide better expertise, Dr.G will gladly refer you out to only the best and she will track the status of your fur kid every step of the way. I have received followups from Dr.G at 10pm and voicemails at 1:30am, just to personally provide a status update and help put "mom" at ease.

Being hit with an insane total I found out that if I use the single cans sitting there (in a mess) to make up a case with several flavors I get charged the single can price. Can price for a small can one flavor case is $2.37. Putting them together myself for more than one flavor it goes up to $2.79 each. I changed and chose two cases / single flavors. $4.11 extra for paying with my card. Checked with the person I was buying for and she was horrified too at their extortionate prices. Decided to return the cans - unopened cases bought two hours earlier - and they made like they were doing me a huge favor. They are not returning the card processing fee. They charged me immediately but I have to wait 3-5 business DAYS for my refund. Dr Gerrity makes $8.3 million a year and yet apparently still has to extort naive customers. Because we are blind and easy prey when it comes to our pets. The vet assistants were all very nice and polite and had ABSOLUTELY NO interest in making ANYTHING RIGHT. I sincerely recommend staying away from there.

I've had a couple of cats in my life... Only one had had diabetic symptoms…read more I'd taken him to the vet clinic in Saratoga - I'm not gonna mention them by name. The point is, Dr. Gerrity is much more advanced, in terms of modern technology. I've had my cat - Max - for over 10 years! He's my savior! Yet, he was diagnosed with diabetes a year ago. He'd never been diabetic before. But, he was prescribed a "Vetsulin " by the clinic. The clinic is kinda far from where I live, so every trip there was a huge disturbance to Max. Then, I'd discovered Dr. Gerrity, who was within less than 1.5 miles away. She recommended that I put a blood glucose sensor on Max. Which I did. She had also prescribed a different Insulin type for him. And what do you know? After only 3 injections, Max went into remission!! It had now been nearly 3 weeks - and I didn't have to give him insulin!!! That's after over a year of him being on Vetsulin, which didn't do anything for him. So, I'd say, Dr. Gerrity knows a lot more about how to keep your pet healthy and safe. She seems like someone who GENUINELY cares about your pet! Be it a dog, a cat, or anything in between. I know I'd trust her with my own life. If she cares THAT much about my cat - absolutely, YES!!!

This is an emergency room. When was the last time you went to a human emergency room and didn't have to wait more than two hours? The only cases that don't have to wait two hours come by ambulance. This place is utterly amazing. The staff is super professional. They take care of everybody wonderfully and yes, just like all medical whether animal or human, they are desperately understaffed. Let's give a big shout out to these amazing caring professionals Dr. Macy Dr. Akol, Dr. nicki Dr. Lahue, Dr. Kalff Dr Pressel all the doctors I forgot and the best nurses in the entire world. I've been coming here for over 30 years and only receive the best, most attentive, kindest and gracious of care. Folks need to understand how long things take and what the word triage means. I am disgusted reading one star reviews from people with no concept of how much time good thorough animal care takes and how much things cost. An estimate is an estimate they have only ever charged me for what was needed. They are utter professionals, a very highly regarded facility and quite frankly all you people that are sending in one star reviews don't deserve their service or care. I am a seasoned dog owner who has spent many hours and has had many visits to the ER over the years. However this last visit was brutal. We arrived at 830 am and didn't get fully seen and discharged for 12 hours ! 12 hours is insane to make someone with a sick animal wait. At least be up front on check in and say. You are likely looking at 5-6 hour wait. At least that way you can make a call and decide to not put your already sick animal through more stress. I get how triage works. Most pressing cases are seen first. But to have us come back into the exam room several times just to sit and wait for at least an hour or more each time is wild. The tech calls me and ask me if I've left and I say no I'm right outside and by the time I've come in they have forgotten about us and stick us in an exam room only to sit and wait another chunk of time. The vet was lovely and she helped diagnose my dog and set up a treatment plan. That was the only plus.

And I am glad I found them, especially Dr. Lau. Can I just say, I absolutely love Dr. Lau? My biggest fear of having my last Vet retire was how I would find another conscientious and caring Vet who actually cared enough to put the work in. I have had dogs my entire life and I have encountered some awful Vets in the past, so when I found my last Vet I was thrilled to have him. I stayed with him for 17 years. Now that I have found Dr. Lau I feel so relieved and happy. Over the past two years I have slowly moved my three cats and one dog to Reed Animal Hospital. Dr. Lau has been nothing but kind and helpful and I 100% believe she cares about my animals. I can ask her questions and she answers them. She goes above and beyond without being pushy. And she is just an incredibly pleasant person to work with. I completely trust that she will exhaust all efforts to care for my animals. The other plus is that the Vet Techs and the front desk staff have always been incredibly pleasant. The front desk staff has never been snippy or rude like some other Vet offices are (or even your regular Dr. offices are). And the Vet Techs have been kind and good with my animals. Knowing your animals are well cared for is such a relief. And I am happy I found them.

I ended up pursuing xrays for my dog at another facility and the vet confirmed the tooth is not infected and does not warrant removal at this time. I also mentioned to Dr. Nguyen that my dog had an intermittent chronic hop/limp that my previous vet diagnosed as patellar luxation. Dr. Nguyen was confident it wasn't patellar luxation and recommended hind limb xrays to figure out what was really wrong. I got that imaging done as well at my other vet, just to confirm she does indeed have bilateral patellar luxation. I would seriously pause to consider this series of misdiagnoses and the extreme and costly procedures that were recommended (which now have been confirmed as unnecessary), when deciding if you want your pets seen here.

Neither your pet nor your wallet are safe here. Misdiagnosing/medical error is reason enough to…read moreavoid any vet. The less than honest billing is the cherry on top here. For a vet practice, having friendly and professional staff and clean facilities is table stakes. One would expect competence and honest pricing as well, but not here. There is dangerous incompetence with the medical care, and deceptive/overbilling (as much as 70% higher than other vets I got quotes from for the same procedure). For one, the vet (won't name out of respect) misdiagnosed a clinically significant cardiac condition of one of my dogs (2 other vets disagreed with her). I gave her the benefit of the doubt and came back with my other dog, for whom she also misdiagnosed a chronic joint condition. She also insisted that we extract a tooth due to a (possible) infection, and two other vets confirmed this is not necessary and that the tooth is not even dead. The vet simply lacks nuance and sophistication in understanding and navigating conditions and treatment options, and I did NOT feel safe letting her put my pet under to perform any procedures. Had I trusted this vet, my dog would be unnecessarily missing a tooth. I also confirmed over multiple conversations/emails the unscrupulous billing practices designed to avoid scrutiny. They provided me three different estimates for the same procedure, where the exact same line items were priced differently in each estimate. When asked, the employee could not explain this and kept making nonsensical excuses that made me feel like I was talking to a wall (or she thought I'd be too stupid to keep pressing). They refused to provide an itemized estimate for a procedure that I could submit to insurance. They explicitly said that if they were to provide such a receipt, they would have to charge me 85% more (confirmed both on the phone and over email). They'd provide the exact same services, but if they have to provide transparency into the billing, they would simply double the bill. They simply would not break out the costs of different medications/procedures as needed for insurance unless they doubled the price. I went to two other vets and neither had issues providing this kind of pricing transparency. Go at your own risk.

I got a text - not ahead of time but rather 10 minutes into my appointment while waiting for him at the vet office. That is disrespectful of my time and irresponsible. Further, I was there for a rabies vaccine update for my cat and after I left I realized that he hadn't discussed anything about any side effects or really anything at all with me. The Good: Samantha. A cat whisperer. Gentle, knowledgeable, kind. She should be the vet. Will I go back? Not likely. Further note: They did give me a discount because he was late, but that doesn't address the time I wasted and that my cat was unduly stressed waiting. Should have called in advance to tell me he was running late. Or even apologized for being late. Or given me any medical information pertaining to my cat. Zero, nothing.

I settled on a Dutch Shepherd. I located Von Falconer and called them. I spoke with Eric and he said he had a few puppies available. So, I went to the facility and met with Eric and met Bryan. The facility is in a beautiful location. Eric was quite knowledgable and didn't pressure us in any way. We spoke about the puppies and what the assessment of each one was. We were given plenty of time to spend with the puppies. We talked about costs and training then I left to think about what we'd experienced. I called Eric back and decided to purchase a young male that I named Taka. The transaction was smooth and we were given some free training classes to get Taka started. Taka was everything I'd hoped for. He was smart and amazingly athletic. The classes were well run. Taka learned quickly. We did not continue formal training after the initial classes but continued to work with Taka at home. As he grew up, his personality really came into it's own. He was very loving though a bit rough and tumble. Dutch shepherds are durable dogs. Taka was very sweet and it was obvious that the breed is quite sensitive to the emotions of those in his pack. It's important not to be angry with the dog or train the dog with negative reinforcement while maintaining your Alpha status. Dutch shepherds are a bit stubborn and you will need to behave like an Alpha or it's possible they may run amok. Eric was always professional, knowledgable, yet friendly and clearly cared about Taka and wanted us to be successful with him. I owned Taka for almost 12 wonderful years before he passed. I had such a positive experience with Von Falconer that I will be giving them a call when it's time for me to welcome another Dutch into my home.
