Just had my first facial....ever! Jessica was awesome. All the products they use smell nice. I had heard that a lot of estheticians try to push you to buy products after your facial and I was ready for that, but surprisingly Jessica did not even try it. I was relieved, but also curious. She didn't mention the names of any of the products she used, which was kind of disappointing because I really liked them. Some people mentioned getting free samples at BRIX, but I was not offered any. Maybe they give them to regulars, which would be understandable. They were slightly more expensive than the other places in Auburn, but since I have never had another facial I have no idea whether their prices for specific services are good. All I know that they are much cheaper than any facials offered in San Francisco! I would definitely go back. read more

What a perfect spot! We made an appointment for two spa pedicures. Right when we walked in, the owner offered us coffee, tea, cucumber water, and snacks! She was too sweet. Then we went upstairs with Sarah and she was great. She was personable and funny and we had a great pedicure. read more

Ajia is fantastic! Color and cut is my usual visit. Her color matching is exquisite! They use very healthy color products. I also had the great experience with waxing with Jessica. She knows what she's doing, does it fast. Because I spend quite a bit of time there each visit, it is great to spend time with people that are great to talk with. The ladies at BRIX Salon worked their magic on my entire wedding party! I contacted BRIX a month or so before my wedding day and they more than willing to take on my large wedding party. They even came in early! The owner was easy to work with and extremely professional. Since I am not from the area, the owner and I communicated frequently on the phone about appointments and details.. Jessica did my bridal make up (airbrush) and it lasted all night! Jessica took her time and listened to what I was envisioning for my look. My Bridesmaids also looked stunning all day and night long. I got my haircut by Libby today. Best haircut ever. She clearly understands hair types. I have very difficult coarse curly hair. I have never gotten it styled and liked it. Libby styled it to perfection. The product combination she used is magical. The owner was so welcoming and full of joy. I walked out of there in a completely happy state. Now my biggest worry is if Libby retires or leaves. I would give this place a 10 star rating if they let me. read more

I have a haircutting phobia, and yet, I trust Nicole so much that I had her chop off my waist-long hair and give me a super short pixie cut. Jessica fit me in the day i called, was extremely friendly and informative on the procedure and gave me the most pain free waxing ive ever had. I have been seeing Angelica for a while now. She does amazing color work and is great with reds. Angelica really listens to what I'm looking for and helps me to achieve a style I love. I have been going to Brix close to the day it opened and have had MANY, MANY services there. I must start with Becky (the owner) who is fantastic...always a happy, enthusiastic attitude about everything! She greets her customers individually and is always there to offer cucumber water (my favorite) and other refreshments. Dina is my stylist and she does a fantastic job on my hair! Has a great personality and is so accommodating! Liz does my nails--I have an issue of abusing my nails and Liz is helping me grow them long and healthy again...again..SO VERY accommodating and such a friendly and relaxing experience. Jessica (I must say) gives the absolute "right on" facial and skin care regimen I've EVER experienced. I've been to dermatologists and many skin care specialists and no one has gotten me on a regime that really works...until I met Jessica...and I must say..the facial was so fragrant and relaxing My next treatment will be with the massage therapists so stay tuned for an update on that service. Brix can do no wrong in my opinion...it's obvious they have the cream of the crop of professionals who LOVE making their customers happy! GO BRIX! read more

Woah! I have too many great things to say about this salon, it would go on for days! I had my hair colored and cut by Rene and she did everything I wanted and more! I now have a really nice ombré and light layers to take a little weight out of my very thick hair. The front desk was so nice and welcoming when I came in, they offered me a Mocha and cookies while I waited; so good! I went to Brix for the first time for a cut from Maureen (aka Mo). I like my hair very short and she gave me the best cut (seriously) I've ever had. I let it go longer than 8 weeks until the next cut and each stage of growing out was like a brand new haircut. And each one looked great. I also got a brow and lash tint from Jessica which was perfect. I realized a few days later that I'd chosen the wrong color and she had me come back and did it again with a darker tint. The atmosphere is wonderful, very relaxing. I'll definitely go back and recommend it to anyone looking for a new salon. read more

This was my third time going to Brix Salon in Auburn. MY HAIR LOOKS FANTASTIC!!! I get so many compliments from random strangers, EVERYDAY! Michael is the BEST! I had never before had a cut from a male stylist,(not to be sexist). He listened to what I was asking for, he gave me options for the cut I wanted, and took his time making SURE I was satisfied. The charge was more than reasonable, I constantly tell anyone who will listen to go there, and ALL the random strangers! I just went for my third haircut and style.. I liked the 1st stylist, not available when I need my next cut. Tried another stylist, she has limited hours now. Tried a third stylist (if you can call her that) and was extremely disappointed. I told her I was unhappy. She just acted flustered and asked what she could do. After I held up the obvious uneven hair pieces I told her there wasn't anything to be done at this point except cry.. Everyone in the salon avoided eye contact with me and was hoping I wouldn't make a scene. The lady behind me in line waiting to pay just looked at me wide eyed and shook her head.Two people in the waiting area laughed out loud when I walked out. Love Rachel. I had just moved to Auburn and found Brix online. You never know what you're going to get when you try a new person, but Rachel was super confident and set me at ease right away. She did a great job retouching highlights that my previous stylist did, which isn't always easy. I've been to her a few times since and she gets the color spot on every time and really listens to what I want as it tends to change every time I see her.
