FOOD: terrible...not even a hint of Mexican flavor…read more... SERVICE: whatever.....must be family or something.... AMBIENCE: what is this place? Half disco/bar/we had extra paint so we painted it blue/no really, we're trying to convince Edenton that this is Mexican food.....hahahaha...nope, just drink a lot and enjoy the chips.... TERRIBLE!! I feel a they are being disrespectful and dishonest towards Mexican cuisine by even pretending that a salty dried out piece of flat steak wrapped in an old flour tortilla is something they eat back home....nope! Full disclosure, my wife and I work and live part of the year in NORTHERN MEXICO....aka Southern California!!

We have been Mamasita's fans since they had the restaurant on Broad st(which has since been torn…read moredown to make room for a Tractor Supply). Just a bar, with great drinks, maybe a dozen tables, and superb service. This Sunday we stopped by for lunch. Started out good, the waitress brought chips and salsa as is the norm, gave us time to make our decisions and took our order. Went downhill from there. We waited for our meal, and waited, and waited. Over 30 minutes. We saw patrons come in, order, receive their food, eat and pay their bill. Still, we waited. When the food finally arrived, we had to send my wife's plate back because the food was cold I never saw a waitress carry anything to the table, it was a robot. Overall a disappointing experience. It will be a while before I return. Sometimes bigger is NOT better.

I went here for a business dinner. I'm a foodie, and to be honest, when I looked at the menu, I…read morewasn't sure what to expect because it looked like an unfocused/random selection of dishes. However, I'm glad to say my instincts were completely wrong on this one. My business colleagues told me all the ingredients are locally sourced, and the based of taking diner food and making it a little more modern (without the pretentiousness). The space matches the concept - modern diner. I tried the following: - Daily Bread: Very good. Nothing like freshly bread and butter. - Spaetzle Mac & Cheese: Excellent. I've had spaetzle and and I've had mac & cheese, and this was as good as interpretation of mac & cheese I've ever had. A lot of my colleagues thought this was the most memorable dish of the night. - Pickled Things: Good. I always like trying new things, and pickled blueberries and fried saltines were new to me. Really nice surprises. - Daily NC Catch (Trout): Very good. Trout was just as perfect as can be with a nice crispy sear on the skin, and meat was still tender. The risotto underneath was good, but a bit over-seasoned. Service was incredible. The server was interactive, fun, attentive and doing a masterful job of single-handedly managing a table of over 12 people, which is never easy. Overall, a great meal. Really great food with service that made us feel like restaurant regulars. If I happen to visit Greenville NC again, I would definitely make sure to return.

My GF suggested we have dinner at Native Fine after recently enjoying an outstanding dinner…read more Unfortunately the menu had significantly changed and was decidedly more casual (a burger and fried chicken sandwich are delicious but definitely less refined). We started with 1/2 dozen oysters (delicious) and an order of Pickled Things (really large enough for 4). For entrees we had the steak special (perfectly cooked but inexplicably didn't include any accompanying sides) and the fish special that included bouillabaisse in the description but was really a bed of flavored rice (good but a little too much vinegar). Overall tasty food with friendly staff, but I'm not sure I'd seek it out.

We came for dinner last Friday night for their fixed menu, and we greatly enjoyed our experience;…read morethe service was exceptional. The ambiance was cozy and elegant. We all LOVED the charcuterie that came out first with local and seasonal items, as well as the starters (choice of scallops or sliced beet and goat cheese). The waiters as well as the chef came out multiple times to ask how we were doing. We all agreed that the mains could have been better. The lamb was overcooked, and the chicken dry; neither was inedible, we just expected more from this restaurant. The fish main was decent but not amazing. So whomever prepped the mains could work on that. We all enjoyed our desert. I really want to give this restaurant 5 stars and with a tweak of the mains I will be happy to. I also suggest a second salad option as not everyone enjoyed the option that was served. Our drinks were so exceptional we all ordered a second one which we rarely do.

The ambiance is fine dining meets comfortable, just takin a breath of fresh air kind of good. I left thinking this was one of the best meals out I have ever had...and I can tell you that thought doesn't run through my mind every day! This beautiful eatery in the back of a local bed & breakfast was 5 star quality and 5 star service with an air of small town charm. You leave feeling like you will be returning "some day", because you don't want to imagine what life would be like not to! Thank you Casey and Crew for making our 21st wedding anniversary dinner out one we will never forget! I had no idea what a tomahawk steak was until arriving here, and will definitely savor the memory and taste of it for years to come! Blown away...to say the least (and so was my husband). You guys are amazing!
