    Filet mignon

This place is quite the experience. The restaurant is small and intimate. The service is pretty good, it was a little slow but it was also in the middle of Hurricane Ian so tha might have slowed down the staff. The food absolutely makes up for it though. The wait was a little long but I think it's because they really do cook each plate per order. The huntsman chicken was so good and the mashed potatoes were so smooth and garlicky. The glazed carrots were delicious as well. My husband had the filet mignon and it literally melted in my mouth. We are staying at the inn again and rather venturing out to another restaurant we will be back at the Table tonight again.

In this tiny romantic town of Edenton, North Carolina, this may be one of the few "fine dining" restaurants. May of 2016, my "then boyfriend," who later that night became my fiancé, made a surprise reservation for us to dine here for our 5th anniversary. It is attached to the Inner Banks Inn, on E. Albemarle Street. (Everything is on Broad street, E. Albemarle, or Queen Street.) Very easy to find, and easy to park as well. Inside, you'll see that it's very small, maybe 10-12 tables, so reservations are a must, especially on weekends and popular holidays. They had a little place card with our now last name on it. Service was superb. Excellent and very attentive staff, which I find is usually the case at fine dining restaurants. For drinks, he had a Moscow Mule, and I had the Edenton Bay Cocktail. For dinner, he chose the Bison Short Rib, and I had the "Painted Hills Beef Striploin with asparagus, puréed fingerlings, port veal jus, and chanterelles." Basically fancy terms for steak, mashed potatoes, gravy, and small mushrooms. I only know the detailed description because I looked at my description on my Yelp pic. Lol. For dessert, we had the creme brûlée. Food was delicious! Everything was perfection, from start to finish. Memorable last dinner as a girlfriend. *insert heart eyes emoji.*

The food is incredibly good here. I had a bad experience waiting over an hour for our food to arrive. The staff apologized and compensated us for the wait. Once I tasted the food I wasn't as upset. It was amazing. PROS: Scallop dish Nice inside CONS: Small portions

went here for my father's birthday. food was delicious, service was excellent. i got the salmon, it was expertly cooked. the only complaint would be that they didn't have crab cakes (ive gotten them there before and they were soo good), but everything was great. looking forward to going back soon ! (ps the lavender drink was so good!) thanks for everything !

Brunch- steak and egg scramble. Really delicious!

Back Again -- and Still Blown Away!…read more Stopped in last night with five other guys as we made our way up "the ditch" to Falmouth, MA -- and once again, Spoon River delivered the unexpected magic that only Theresa and her team can provide in this hidden gem of a town. From the second we walked in, the vibe was warm and welcoming. Theresa greeted us like long-lost friends (with a hug on the way out too -- who does that anymore??), and our server Sam was spot-on: attentive, relaxed, and knew the menu like a pro. Now, the food. Oh man, the food. Fried Green Tomatoes: Showstopper. Perfectly crisp, full of flavor, and just the right tangy punch to kick things off. Main courses -- each one got rave reviews from our crew: * Pork Chop (2 of us): Juicy, thick, and packed with flavor. Honestly, I had ribeye envy once I tasted it! * Seared Ahi (2 of us): Beautifully done, fresh and flavorful with a gentle sear. * Filet: Cooked perfectly. Nothing else to say -- it just melted. * Ribeye (mine): Medium rare, spot-on, but yeah, I'll admit it... I'd order the pork chop next time We pulled two great bottles of wine from their Wine Room (so reasonable!) and ended with some bonus sips -- Blanton's bourbon, which took the evening to the next level. And the desserts? - Chocolate Brownie with Ice Cream: Rich, gooey, just what we wanted. - Cinnamon-Forward Carrot Cake: Moist, spicy-sweet, and totally worth saving room for. The whole experience felt like something you'd find in a big city -- only here, it's surrounded by local art, genuine hospitality, and a true sense of care. Final word? If you're anywhere near Belhaven, detour here. If you're coming up the ICW, make this your stop. And if you're lucky enough to chat with Theresa -- tell her we said hi, and we'll be back. Because we will. Thank you, Spoon River -- for once again reminding us how special a meal can be. #FoodieFind #HiddenGemEats #SouthernCuisine #FarmToTable #SmallTownBigFlavors #ChefOwned #LocallySourced #FoodThatWows #ICWAdventures #CruisingTheDitch #GreatLoopLife #BoatLife #MarinaEats #DockAndDine #BelhavenNC #VisitBelhaven #NCFoodie #HighlyRecommend #MustTry

I had the tuna, and my husband had the lamb shank. Both were perfectly cooked and came out with a beautiful presentation. The owner came to our table and helped us select the perfect wine to go with dinner. We never order dessert, but we ordered the lemon poundcake strawberry shortcake. The poundcake was made by the owner's sister. Everything is homemade. The inside of the restaurant is very artsy. The owner has a flair for decorating and there was lots of beautiful artwork and fresh flowers. We highly recommend this restaurant.

She was incredibly sweet and attentive. She seemed a little nervous at first, but she did a great job and made us feel very welcome throughout our meal. I ordered the Crispy Rice Tuna Salad, and it was excellent. The tuna was fresh, the combination of textures was fantastic, and the portion was much larger than I expected--I couldn't finish it. I also appreciated that the menu offered a good variety of choices, from lighter dishes to more indulgent options. The restaurant itself has a cozy, eclectic atmosphere with interesting décor that makes it feel like a hidden gem tucked away in downtown Washington. Add in the fact that they're open on Mondays when many nearby restaurants are closed, and Blu becomes an easy recommendation. I'll definitely return the next time I'm in town.

Where to start? Without overstating it, this is one of the best restaurants on the east coast. I've…read morelost count of the number of high end chefs whose meals we have enjoyed around the world and I'm not joking when I say that I can count on one hand the places that I would say are better than Blu. After numerous trips I still can't put my finger on what exactly is done differently at Blu to outperform so many fantastic restaurants. It's as if they have somehow managed the flavors of a Michelin restaurant with plating that isn't so... boring and sterile. Portion sizes are more than adequate, none of that one taste nonsense here. The service is always fantastic, professional and friendly. The owner is occasionally willing to share recipes with you and has never disappointed me with a recommendation. The cocktails? Just "wow". Perhaps what makes this place so fabulous is that they manage to do so well in so many categories. I'll consider that more in depth next time I make a reservation which may just have to be today. Speaking of, if you don't make a reservation, don't be disappointed when you don't have a seat. This isn't a place you can always walk in and sit down. They don't have many tables and it's obvious that they aren't the type of place to sit more people than they can take care of. Take some time, enjoy a drink and one of the best meals you'll have in the area. You won't regret it!
