So, there are several solid auto body shops on the Peninsula, but this one's my favorite. Whenever you're at an auto body shop, something crappy has happenes recently, but Jim and company will make it right. They're friendly, they do great work, and best of all, they communicate clearly around when you are going to get your car back. If you have State Farm, they work directly with them, and they are great at helping you navigate the bureaucracy around the insurance process. Also, I owe Jim a bottle of scotch, because he did me a favor the last time I was in there, and one of his relatives shorted him on a bottle awhile back... Next time you crash, land here. read more

Recently had my black 2014 Accord fixed here. Both the front and rear bumper had some paint damage. Initially I emailed photos of the car and Jim was able to get back to me within 24 hours with a quote. Jim was very honest and forthcoming with his opinion on how much the repairs would cost. Fred is genuinely a great auto body specialist and I would go to Broadway Auto Body should I ever need to! My Lexus RX 400h had some major scruff marks on the front bumper from brushing against the garage door. I took it to Broadway Auto Body to get a quote. I was greeted by Fred who said "Let me use a chemical to treat it. You can then tell me if you want anything done". He used his chemical and then another one and the entire scruff marks were gone. He wasn't done yet! He took out a bunch of marks from the rear door and read bumper as well. I thanked him profusely and asked him how much I owed. He said, not a thing! In today's world who does such work? For reference, there were two other auto body shops that I had consulted. Both of them had recommended: Replace the entire front bumper for $800. Plus every other blemish was somewhere $150-450. It is so sad that other autobody shops such as California Auto Center (https://www.yelp.com/biz/california-auto-center-millbrae) survive by making the customer change the entire part whereas they could just charge to fix it with a little touch. And Fred did it for FREE. He did not charge a penny to take out the big scruff and said he would only charge if we were to do any major repaint and parts replacement work! read more

I took my BMW for a specialized trimming issue. They spent some one hour and fixed the complex issue. In the end, Jim said no charge for the repair. That's generosity. I still paid what I thought should be. I will bring cars there for future repairs. His business is down 70% due to Covid-19, still he is not charging. That's honesty. read more

I was in one hell of an awful crash in Wyoming and still made it to California in one piece. My insurance adjuster even wondered how I could get it here safely. Point is the car was crushed on one half and all the side curtains and airbags were ruined-quite the feat to try to repair. Jim (the owner) was so nice and introduced himself and explained exactly what he was going to be doing and didn't promise me anything and didn't try to sell me any other services while I was there-just explained it would be awhile. Honest. I have an '08 Yaris and while it's only been on the market for a year, it's hard to get replacement parts-understandable. He doesn't sugar coat anything and my car is well on it's way to being normal. It's in great hands. So...this is what happened in MY car that was serviced by THIS auto body shop 7 months after getting serviced here that Yelp apparently feels needs to get taken down because it's not 1. experienced from my point of view 2. a new review. I smell someone paying Yelp off personally. So... I was driving to work and carpooling and my friend in the passenger side on is trying to shield himself from the sun and BAM! Down comes the visor and hits him. A huge chunk of the cars roof comes apart and it falls apart at the seams. I should point out that this was the first time anyone sat in the passenger side and I was terribly embarrassed by my car falling apart. "Funny," I think..."the back door was dented and fixed, but not the headliner" I do recall how the front window was taken off because they said it'd be easier to maneuver in and out of the car. I wish they had done just as good of a job with the parts they took apart as the parts they were paid to replace. And all this happened only 7 months after receiving my car back from the shop. read more

I guess my Prius has a "HIT ME" sign. I had to return to Broadway Auto Body a few months ago. Same great service! They always detail the car before returning it - my baby looked better than new! This time, there was one glitch - and Broadway had to take the car to a Toyota dealer for programming - this delayed the return. My mechanic referred me to Broadway Auto Body for a sideview mirror repair and they did a good job at a fair price. I was pleased with the way they were willing to work with me on varying levels of work to meet my budget. Fast forward to a month later, when my hood got misaligned from somebody jumping on it and wouldn't close... I took my car back in to Broadway Auto Body. They quoted me a full repair at over $1K, and again, worked with me when I asked if there was anything they could do to just fix the latch instead of the entire hood. Jim and his crew ended up doing a quick fix which allowed me to latch the hood and didn't even charge me for it! I was very impressed. I have had multiple collision fixes done at Broadway Auto Body over the years. They are good honest people. Most recently I needed a mirror replaced because someone broke it (and didn't leave a note). It was late in the day when I brought my car in and I live close by and didn't have an immediate ride set up, so one of the guys who works there offered to give me a lift home. They had my replacement mirror in 1 business day and even helped me set up the authorization with my insurance company. Of the 3 or 4 times I've taken my cars here, they have always been serviced fast and professionally. Everyone who I've spoken to there is always very nice so it's always a pleasure to bring my cars here for collision repairs. Never had any problems. read more

I took my VW to Broadway Auto Body today to get an estimate for painting the damage I did to my car by scraping against a metal gate. Fred came out to look at the damage and he asked if he could try to fix it right away. It turned out that the scrapes I saw were paint from the metal gate not damage to the car. He was able to remove the scrapes in about 10 minutes. And when I asked what I owed them he said, "No charge". This has to be the nicest, fairest Body Shop anywhere! Their work is impeccable (can't tell there's been any work done-looks new), their pricing is eminently fair, and they don't do any more than is necessary (what looked pretty ugly- paint from scraping a stanchion- was wiped clean, buffed, and touch-up paint applied to a tiny spot, and it literally looked like new, all for $38.00, including the special-ordered BMW paint!) Not to mention how nice everyone is. We've had various levels of work (including insurance work) done over the years. Can't recommend them highly enough! I just had my new Mercedes Benz repaired by Broadway Auto Body (BAB), I was totally pleased with the quality of the work and the friendly people . Jim is very fair with repair cost estimate. My repair actually cost $50 less than the estimate when I picked up my car...nice surprise and a first for me. They also repaired few things on the car that is not part of the job at no extra cost. This is my first time at BAB and will be back for future body repairs at BAB without a second thought. I highly RECOMMEND this business establishment. After collision, I brought my vehicle to Broadway autobody. Jim and Fred helped me. They are very nice and honest. Since my damaged bumper was scraping against my tire, for my safety, Jim had one of his staff fixed for me on the spot without charging me. I was upset because the quoted as mount to fix the damage will cost more than the vehicle itself, an old car. Fred did some research for me to find some used or refurbished parts to lower my cost. Great job, Broadway! I scraped my fender pulling out of a parking garage two years ago and finally decided to have it repaired, but did not want to use my insurance. I took it to a shop that had done a nice job on my son's car and they gave me an estimate close to $3,000. Fortunately, a friend recommended Broadway. They gave me a thorough breakdown of different options and costs and did the job for a third of the previous estimate; beautifully, quickly and in less time than expected.
