I called this shop to get an estimate for a piece of glass. The person I spoke with took my information and said they would send me a written estimate. I assumed it would be sent in a day or two. 4 days later I received an estimate for just the glass. I replied with a question about cost for delivery and to have the glass template. I was then ghosted. I never received a response. I know my job is small. I'm still just surprised that people don't respond. read more

Broadway Windows was good until they got the payment from me then when I needed them for something related to their work (Basically the window glass they installed caused the existing old gasket to crack some more and I needed it to be adjusted, by adding silicone which is a fairly modest ask), they stalled and ignored me even though I called at least 5 times. When they take your money, then you have no more leverage over them, that shows you their true colors. I have water leaking because of the rain into the room now and I have voiced that to them and they don't care. read more

Called about a pretty simple glass repair project earlier this month and was asked to email photos. Did that and then never got a response. I called again to get an update and was initially told they never received my email...but then suddenly they found it. I was put on hold and a minute or so later I was told that they'd have to show my photos to their technicians and they'd get back to me. Still waiting for that call or email telling me whether or not they can handle my project. In the meantime, I went to one of their competitors here in town who (when I brought up the non-response by Broadway Glass) said they've heard that from other customers who come to them--Broadway Glass asks for emails and photos, but never replies. Great way to get repeat business or recommendations. My project was ultimately completed--by their competitor. I can't recommend Broadway Glass. read more

We had a severe rain leak at the threshold of our second story French doors. One of the men at the leak company recommended Broadway Glass and Mirror. I called, Gale answered promptly, asked me to email pics of the doors, and then had Alvin schedule us for a diagnostic visit/estimate. Sergio and Julian came right on time, examined the door sill closely, and basically recommended maintenance of the threshold/weep holes, similar to getting our rain gutters cleaned. They ordered replacement door sweeps and scheduled the work to be done at a date and time of MY choosing. They came on time, finished two sets of door repairs while teaching me how to maintain them in the future. What struck me as particularly remarkable was how well the two men worked together and how respectful they were to each other and to me. We had contacted multiple glass/door companies. all of whom said they didn't do repairs or recommended replacing the door. One said to get a contractor and have the entire deck redone. Broadway Glass did not guarantee that this work would stop our leak, but we felt it was definitely worth trying and the doors needed maintenance anyway. I highly recommend them and am now trying to figure out if there's something else I can ask them to do for me! read more

I make it a point to not leave negative reviews but I'm so disappointed in the business that I had to let others know. It's been months and I still haven't gotten my shower door fixed. My shower door hinge is loose so I couldn't use the door. I called my property management company and they referred me to this business. It's been three months and I still can't take a shower without getting water everywhere in my bathroom. They canceled on me twice. They showed up once, the tech who came out, told me he was getting a part from his car and never came back. In total i had four appointments with them. Every single time I had to call and reschedule. The person who manages appointments does not do a good job of checking who has received service or not. The last time I called, she was unaware that I still hadn't been helped, and told me it had been months since I contacted them. I would say you're better off going with another business. This is just my experience, but overall it has not been positive. read more

I walked in with two empty cabinet door frames and no clue what I wanted other than "glass." I hadn't considered tint or texture or anything else. He was very friendly and showed me a few options, and when I mentioned a tint he pulled out the perfect piece. We held it up to the cabinets and in front of a few other objects to see what things look like behind it. I loved it! Our building is 50 years old and 7 stories tall. The elevator is small and not able to hold large window frames which makes this project very difficult. Two years ago, I asked for a quote. The guy came out two hours later than the window timeframe. He talked a great game, I was impressed. I thought this would be the best company. I liked the positive reviews. The guy never provided a quote. I even called to follow up but nothing. Recently, someone from the company came out to fix a mirror and I asked if they could do windows for our building, he said yes. I decided to give them a second chance. I stopped by the office, told the office manager I didn't want the same sales person but wanted to give them a second chance. They said "someone will contact you" but nobody ever did. We found three other companies; one said he couldn't do it, the second said they could do it but charged a lot and didn't sell his product well. Then we found another company located in Pasadena. The individual was far more knowledgeable about windows than the sales rep at this place. He provided a great presentation and not only sold us windows but presented well at the HOA and got three other jobs out of it. If you are in a building with an HOA and a lot of challenges, don't bother with this company. I wasted my time waiting and hoping to give them a chance and they failed at least twice. They probably do great with mirrors, and single family home. I am thoroughly disappointed that a local long beach company with great reviews couldn't even provide a quote. I was told from various places that it could not be repaired. He immediately came to my car to take a look, brought the mirror in and carefully removed the mirrored frame to replace the larger piece. I took a magnifying standing mirror to Broadway Glass because I was a returning customer and liked their service and location. I had a very fine French magnifying mirror which was attached into a mirrored bottom that had chipped at all four corners and was damaged by water. Repair would require patience and care in freeing the magnifying mirror from the mirrored piece on which it stood as its base because it was held in place by a rusted screw that would not turn. Enter Johnny Garcia who has years of experience in working with glass. He figured out how to remove the rusted screw and detach the standing mirror from the base. He then sank a new screw and attached the magnifying mirror to a beautiful new piece of glass. Johnny is not only good with glass. He is also a very nice person as well as a talented artist. He designs guitars by using wood-burning instruments to outline his work and then uses a special process by which the inside of his outlines are adorned in magnificent colors. He showed me a number of photographs which gave me the opportunity to see some of his beautiful hand-painted guitars. I highly recommend Johnny Garcia at Broadway Glass for any glass work you want done correctly. We managed to break the window in our bathroom. The vinyl window had glue chip glass and I unsuccessfully searched for months for a window repair company who would work on it. After contacting TONS of glass and window businesses, a family friend referred me to Broadway Glass. I drove over and met Johnny the next morning. He was unbelievably helpful. He spent time explaining to me how to remove the window and bring it to him for measurements. I did as instructed (super easy after talking to Johnny). I reached out to their store for about a week to inquire about getting someone to come out and replace a shattered mirror. I sent over all requested items (pictures and dimensions) and then they stopped responding. I figured it'd be easier to give them a call to set a date and time for someone to come out. Once I called I received a rude response from the owner "I don't have time to stop the world for you. I'm holding up a large window now and out of breath. If you want it fixed you need to bring it in the shop. We don't have a lot of time to deal with bamboo mirrors..." completely uncalled for and unprofessional. When I originally called last week I asked and confirmed that they are able to send someone out to me. If that wasn't the case and they don't repair full length mirrors then he should have just said that up front. read more
