Mr Flores and his assistant came out and replaced our windows within a day. He hauled away our old windows, cleaned the new windows and rehung our window co rings - drapes and blinds. He also came out for a couple of hours the following day to caulk the outside of the windows and to make sure we were satisfied. We were impressed with his communication / letting us know when he would arrive, if he was running late and answering any questions we had. We ended up with ten double panes single hung windows with argon gas in between the glass. We were told that the argon helps to retain heat in the winter and keep out heat in the summer. The windows have a to tint to them so you can't see in from the outside. We were so impressed with his professional ism, his dedication to his craft that we plan to use him for another one of our homes.

I happen to be in a parking lot where I saw a Paul's Glass truck next to me, and I asked the individual if they do sliding glass windows? The answer was yes, and he gave me a business card. They were incredibly reasonable cost wise, definitely experts at their craft, easy to deal with, and very ethical. Their approach on how to replace our glass doors saved us thousands of dollars over the other companies quote. I later found out from others that Paul's Glass has an impeccable reputation! As many homeowners will realize, there are a few things to consider when replacing windows. Some companies will take their measurements and give an old fashioned sales pitch. Luis at LMR Windows is straightforward and earnest with his estimate, I did not feel pressured by him and could tell that he is glad to help prospective customers. After a couple of phone conversations and 2 visits to my home to review the project/measure the windows, I settled on Luis' bid. He offered fair pricing (competitive when compared against other companies in the area). Throughout the process, Luis provided periodic updates on the status of the window order and once the window manufacture completion date was confirmed, he offered quick availability for installation. We had a total of 16 units installed at our home, including 2 sliding doors. Luis works with his son, Sebastian, who is not only skilled at what he does - but also very polite and respective of other peoples' home. The guys completed the job in 2 days and cleaned up at the end of each day. I am pleased with the quality of work - the windows have been sealed nicely and professionally. I have referred Luis and Sebastian to family already. I will gladly work with LMR Windows again in the future! Once the job got started he then realized he didn't put in the estimate anything for the electrical which included moving a outdoor light, 2 plugs and 1 light switch because we were widening our sliding door which were clearly there when he came to my house to get a quote we ended up hiring someone else to do the electrical work. Once I paid the balance I realized the bottom of the sliding door was unfinished. I texted him thinking it would not be a problem and they would come and fix it but nope his response for me to look at the quote to see if stucco work was included. I assumed he would leave the sliding door how it look before and all the stucco he would need to break to put in the door he would fix. Just make sure everything is included in his quote. Lesson learned! To respond to the owners comment: We were not looking for cheap work the quote was $10,000 for 2 sliding doors which we accepted and did not negotiate or ask for discount . The only expectation was for you leave our house the way you found it. You did not do free stucco work! You had to break stucco to get the sliding door in and you fixed it on one of the doors as you should. You said it was a drip edge there before it is not a foundation issue. We only expected you to leave the door looking finished. I don't think that is too much to ask for. Follow up to the 2nd response: Wow! The lies and your response only shows how unprofessional you really are. None of that happened I never asked for a discount I went with the price you gave and you said you offered a 10% discount if I signed the quote the same which I am sure you tell everyone so your customers will know the truth, you never told me about the gap, and my husband does not do floors, we didn't ask for free stuff, and by giving my address out don't you think other customers would not be happy with you doing that but I guess it shows your true character. Also, I assumed the stucco you broke would be something you fixed. I figured that was an obvious. Very unprofessional Luis! I also had a rep from a chain home improvement store come to my house to give me an estimate and researched retrofit window types and guidelines online. Ultimately, I chose to go with Los Angeles Windows and Doors based on price, great customer service from Jesus, and turn around time. Jesus replied quickly to multiple rounds of questions and sent his installer, Ezekiel to do a final measure at the house. He also came back and boarded up the window prior to installation. I received confirmations and ETAs for each portion of the job. Day of installation- Ezekiel and Hugo arrived on time. They installed the window, put a drop cloth inside the house, vacuumed inside, and cleaned up around the work area. They reinstalled shutters at my elderly mother's request and moved back all porch furniture. All workers were polite and professional. They even did a few small side handyman jobs for me after the install. End result- The window looks beautiful and I am satisfied. Cost was $200 - $900 cheaper than other quotes I received. It was also finished 1-2 weeks from first contact. Another warehouse store had quoted me 8 weeks for installation.

Summary: This company does truly care about customer satisfaction. As David and Tom told me after…read morethings went awry: "We don't always get it perfect, but when we don't we try hard to make it right." I reached out to start the quote process a little before Thanksgiving and was quickly responded to. I scheduled a Zoom-based overview of the materials and services offered with David, as well as provided some information about my property and the windows that I thought I'd need to have replaced. The next step involved David visiting my home to measure each of the windows and assess their surroundings when putting together an estimate. He even brought a floor model window for me to test the ease of sliding it open and closed (it was very easy). Next, he provided me a quote for the six windows we had identified replacing, which included a Black Friday discount. The total was around $5k for materials and labor. I ended up swapping one window for another and he quickly updated the estimate for me. No pressure or need for down payment. After consulting with my wife, we agreed to move forward and the next step was for a technician to come and measure the windows to a quarter inch so that the dimensions would be sent off to the SoCal manufacturer and the windows constructed over the next 2-4 weeks. The technician also assessed the surrounding area of each window and told me what would need to be cleared to make space for the installation. Soon we got a call that the windows were built and ready to install. We were scheduled for first thing on Saturday, Dec 27, and were told that it would take most of the day but all of the work would be completed in the one day. On Saturday morning, Frank the installer arrived with another installer and got to work. We had moved lots of items away from the windows as needed, and throughout the day we saw the technicians as they would traverse the stairs and through the front door with materials, occasionally saying "hi" and just checking on how things were going. Later in the afternoon, Frank called me up for a walkthrough and then informed me he had two major problems: 1. All six windows measured were such that they required spacers around them to fill gaps that were visible on the inside. For some reason, they were not ordered initially. 2. Only five of the windows had been sealed from the outside because one window had a tree encroaching on it and they couldn't get a ladder up to seal it. Neither of the two visits had noted that. Tom was called and apprised of the situation at the end of the walkthrough, and with a new storm a few days away and one window not sealed, I went into panic mode. I emailed a full recounting of the situation to David, and began hunting for a tree trimmer to come ASAP so that the window could at least be sealed or the old window reinstalled before the rains. The next day, Tom called me and told me they were ordering the spacers and would have them by Monday, and that Frank could come and trim the tree so that I wouldn't have to pay for a separate trimmer. We ended up scheduling for Tuesday, and Frank showed up solo to finish the job. He trimmed the tree and disposed of the materials, added the spacers and sealed everything remaining. When all was said and done, we were happy with the windows and the way the company worked to make it right (and on a tight schedule). We did have to keep everything in its temporary locations for another few days, and we did have to get vocal about our frustrations, but Smart Window Company finished the job and called to check in on us after to make sure everything was good. The next storm hit and we haven't had any issues yet. The product is solid, and the company cares where it matters.
