This gives the bar a special charm that makes it feel unique. Something to note is that the service can be pretty slow when they're busy.

Got home with the food and we ordered 3 orders of the fish and chips, an order of the Baja fish tacos, and newly changed, smoked Turkey Reuben. Apparently the menu was changed to just one6 oz piece of fish, instead of 2 3 oz pieces, which honestly you should have 2 6 oz pieces because it is kind of ridiculous to have one piece of fish of fish an chips, I feel the standard is even having 3 pieces at most restaurants. We called the manager and she was polite and understood the situation and gave us a full refund. I just think for the owners, you guys really have to rethink this menu sometimes. Like one piece of fish is not enough to feed a person, 2 pieces minimum should be the requirement.

Every time I go there, I love eating there, and the food is remarkable, but only if you eat there , never take it to go because you'll be very disappointing when you get home! As a senior advisor this is my second time going there ordering something to go and every time I get home it's either the chicken wings are completely dry or dry and over cooked and then I ordered a sandwich turkey sandwich grinder with extra mayonnaise, lettuce, tomato, onion, and mustard and they put very little lettuce no onion, no mustard no mayonnaise and one zero tiny slab of meat. Unbelievable I will never go there again. Save your money it's not worth it.! With all the money you have to spend for gas going back-and-forth you might as well buy a four course meal. They need to start doing quality control and looking at their meals before the customer picks them up because all you're gonna do is be refunding peoples credit cards constantly that's not the way to make business. read more

Thomas D.... I do not micro-nuke any food. We use a flame broiler, oven, flat grill, open flame, fryers, and a cheese melter . (Just in case Chef Ramsey walks in) What are you wanting on the salad bar? I've had tons of compliments on the atmosphere. People love the historic pictures, the high ceilings, and the sidewalk dinning. Sorry you don't like my TV's...I could have saved a fortune if I left them out, but then we wouldn't be able to watch the Tigers, Lions, Olympics, Big Ten football, and highlights of the Marshall Redhawks sports teams on the local news channels. Maybe the Micro-Nuke guy is from another restaurant because it's all not true. The just right size minimal tv's and atmosphere is pleasant...I eat there a couple of times a week...the breakfasts skillets are the best!! The salad bar is perfect for the size of the restaurant and the potato salad is home made by mom herself. I love the outside tables...my girlfriend and I had lunch and enjoyed the weather as we visited. The Friday Night Fish Fry is also the best!! Don't take someones word...just eat there and I bet you'll love the food...I did. :) read more

He seemed annoyed because Ginger beer is not an alcoholic beverage, which I already knew, but I even had to explain to him that I worked in HR for my company and needed to follow rules. I shouldn't have to explain myself to a vendor. It is my right as a customer to have an accurate receipt and definitely not my fault that as a business owner, he didn't learn how to operate his POS. Overall, not a great experience. Between the smell, poor food, and uncomfortable interaction with the owner, I won't be coming back.
