Great first visit to Elmer's on Waterhouse yesterday. I have been to other locations and primarily go the restaurant in Hillsboro for proximity. This location is a bit tricky to find, and I was slightly nervous to see if this Elmer's measured up against others...it does. The server, Alana, was beyond friendly and engaging. I heard her have conversations at other tables, and she was so genuinely nice. The General Manager, Jose, greeted me at the front with a warm welcome. Jose sat me at a very nice booth. When I left, a young gentleman was the front, and he said thanks, and please come back. Again, so genuine. My Denver Omelet, minus the green peppers, was excellent. Besides the appearance, it also tasted great. The hash browns and biscuits were also perfect. The NW Lodge Blend Coffee was also quite satisfying, even though it is $4.29 a cup. When we walked in we were seated immediately. It took a bit to see a server but it just gave us time to look at the menu, we weren't in a rush. Our server took our drink order and shortly after our food order. He was very attentive throughout our time at Elmer's which was really appreciated. The food was very yummy! The portions seem larger than some breakfast places which meant we got to take home leftovers! When we visited Elmer's it was the transition between breakfast and lunch so some people were there when we arrived but most left, so it was a very chill and quiet breakfast experience. read more

I honestly don't give 5/5 but this was actually so yummy. Breakfast is something you can get anywhere but this place. Divine!!! Everything was sooo yummy (expect the cholula hot sauce... where the heat at :( ) but the food was so good. I will be coming again. When we walked in we did feel like this was an ihop. Went for breakfast with an old friend. Seated immediately in a corner booth. Jewel, our fantastic server, was right tgere with silverware and menus. Giving us plenty of time to decide, she was extremely friendly. Our food was on hot plates with refills of coffee. Jewel never rushed us and came by often to be sure all was okay. First breakfast in Beaverton before we hit the popup vinyl record sale down the road - it's a chain so we knew it would be consistently decent food and fairly quick. I was excited to see Dutch Baby on the menu and immediately knew I needed to try it. It comes with eggs and choice of meat. I went with Lingonberry butter as my topping. I think the room was cold because my Lingonberry butter had butter clumps that never melted. Service was quick and attentive with the place packed to the gills. We visited Elmer's in Beaverton on Feb 6, 2026 at about 1030 Am. We noticed that the manager was very attentive to his incoming customers and helped us right away. He seated at our table and ensured us our wait help was on the way. Impressive. Even more impressive was our wait help named Jorge. He was friendly, helped us with Brunch choices and efficiently brought our coffee and water. Throughout our entire time we ate at Elmer's Jorge provided the BEST customer service we have experienced after just moving to the PNW area. Another point I want to make is that Jorge talked to us about how he helps with training others at different locations and we knew he felt proud of working at Elmer's. I'll have to say that I have many fine meals at Elmers Beaverton, IN THE RESTAURANT. A few hours ago I went there to get a take out order for a crab blt salad (28.00, plus tip). When I got home I opened up the container, and, to my surprise, the whole top was spinach leaves. As a matter of fact, working my way thru it, fully two thirds was spinach leaves, with a small scattering of crab meat and a few slices of avacato. My advice is to eat your meal in the restaurant, where you can address any issues on the spot. Don't wait 'til you're all the way home to see that you've been screwed. read more

As always food is great and so is the service! Our server Dora was the sweetest! I can't believe my picky eater 9 year old finished his entire plate, this rarely happens! But what I'd like to mention today is how the staff accommodated a person with a rollator walker. Truly outstanding! The elderly gentleman had one of those bulky rollers so they decided they will be removing a "standing floor divider" so he and his party can take the nearest tables so he doesn't have to maneuver his walker all the way to the back of the restaurant, they then asked if he would like them to store his walker away while they ate. I don't know why I sometimes forget that Elmer's Kitchen has some pretty solid brunch options, but definitely come here if you're in the mood for classic American comfort food. Not only do they offer lunch and dinner options, but they serve breakfast all day. I've only been here for brunch and would usually order the Lingonberry Crepes (aka Swedish Pancakes) or the Classic German Pancake (aka Dutch Baby), both are always wonderful. However, this time around I wanted to indulge in their Crabacado omelette and the Husby had the Chicken Fried Steak and Eggs. It was definitely a hearty breakfast. I loved the chunks of dungeness crab in my omelette. The hash browns were average, wish they were a little more crispier. Recent visit was not so great. The place seemed clean, the menu selection for breakfast pretty good. We ordered a traditional egg plate and the potato cake plate. The potato cakes were just way too salty for me. If not for the salt they really would've had good flavor. Much to the same tune, the hash browns on my husbands plate were excessively salty too. And not distributed excessive salt but like clumps of salt, so much so my husband gave up and stopped eating them. All other items on our plates were seasoned well and the biscuit was quite good. (I also ordered my egg over hard and received medium, runny.) Our server wasn't overly friendly but seemed capable...but then he left for break. As our food came to the table he alerted us that it was break time but that 3 others would tend to us. No one else approached us at all during the break, not even for a coffee check. Savanna was an AMAZING server. More than just a good server, she's a kind soul that made my experience so much better. I was in town for work, having a bad morning and decided to stop in for breakfast. I'm all about comfort food. The eggs Benedict was delicious and hit the spot. But honestly, what made my experience the highlight of my week was my server, Savanna. I feel like she could sense I was down. She was incredibly sympathetic and I felt like she cared for me extra that day. She was really sweet, warm and welcoming. Even though I saw her working many tables (it was a really busy morning in the restaurant that day), she made me feel like i was the only customer. She was quick and attentive. TL/DNR it was ok. I woke up this am with a yen for a Dutch Baby. And even though I CAN make them, I didn't want to. So I grabbed my minion, with whom I run errands, and we ran by Black Rock for drinks, completed two errands, and ordered takeout from Elmer's in short order. I have lived a few blocks from here for fourteen plus years and never eaten here. Elmer's restaurants are kind of an Oregon Denny's type franchise and I have lived here 25 years altogether and only been in one thrice, once for breakfast with the in laws,once with my ex for lunch on our way to see my mom in her memory care, and once for lunch with a coworker. I am not a Denny's, Shari's or Elmer's type person. I would rather eat from a taco truck or a funky coffeehouse or stand alone family joint. But I am my Irish father's daughter, and I do really like breakfast. And I wanted the pancake. On the phone the girl ( who was clearly dead inside) said " Starting Friday we won't do takeout any more." More on THAT in a minute. We ordered a German Pancake Combo w/scrambled eggs and chicken apple sausage and a marionberry crepe combo with bacon and scrambled eggs. I had no idea what it would cost. The zombie girl didn't tell me and their online menu has no prices. The food was ready on time. It was $24. Minion gave a $4-5 tip I think. Seemed typical. The food was hot and pretty regularly good .Eggs had zero seasoning. My Dutch baby had little discernible powdered sugar. I may have put lemon AND syrup on it. Chicken sausage was perfect. Companion enjoyed his crepes. Bacon was fine. It wasn't "ohmigosh foodgasm" but it was a nice hot breakfast. I don't think, despite that, we will go again. I have cancer and am immune compromised. I won't be doing dine in until next year at the soonest, and if I do take a leap/ risk it'll be for somewhere with a patio and amazing food. I think Elmer's is making a big mistake dropping takeout in these times. Maybe for them it wasn't cost effective or it was a hassle but there are all kinds of diners not ready or able to eat in yet or ever. Some people just wanna grab lunch and eat it at their desk or swing by and take a meal home and that happened before Covid. They don't do any delivery service either. Got my pancake. Breakfast was pretty good. Got there at about 9:30A and was about a 20 min wait. The food got here pretty quick after ordering and the service was very friendly. I had the Benedict half classic and half dungeoness crab. The classic was pretty good except the hollandaise sauce was lacking. Luckily I got extra on the side. The crab Benedict was not bad but the crab you can tell was frozen at a time and still had a fishy taste to some of it.
